Around 11:15 on a regular day, there were 10 people waiting in line. I was able to get in for the first round about 5 minutes before opening. It might have been less crowded due to the bad weather. The restaurant is known for its good cost performance, so I was curious to try it. I ordered salted mackerel and cream croquette. The salted mackerel had crispy skin and was plump with a good portion size. It was a bit dry, but still acceptable. The cream croquette was easy to eat, but it might be difficult to finish with rice. It could be a good place to enjoy freshly grilled fish.

Zuwai-gani cream croquette ¥1,100 - This crab cream croquette is hot, crispy, and very filling! It comes topped with egg salad. On the day we visited, there was already a line forming by noon, and they had sold out of croquettes by the time we got ours. We were lucky to have gotten in just in time to try them.

Black rockfish yuzu-yaki for ¥1,100 is a satisfying lunch with a large fish. There was always a line when I arrived, so I entered on the second round. When I entered, I could choose from the full menu, but when I left (around 12:40), most items were already sold out. I chose the black rockfish yuzu-yaki on this day, but the cream croquette is also a favorite menu item!

Located on the first floor of a view tower directly connected to the station. Kachidoki is known for "Ikenoya," but lately I've been seeing lines forming here as well. I arrived around 1:30 pm, managed to enter but had to wait for a seat as it was full. After about 5 minutes, I got a seat. Some items were sold out, so I went for the grilled mackerel set meal. The mackerel was grilled well, with the flesh coming apart nicely and piping hot. They must be using a good grilling machine to get it so delicious. Even the bones were crispy enough to eat. Looking back, I realized I had mackerel last time too... The rice portion was generous even for a regular size. Consistently good!

I arrived at the restaurant around 12:40 on a regular day. It is located on the first floor of the Kachidoki View Tower, right in front of Kachidoki Station. I thought it might be empty since I went a little late, but it was full and I had to wait for about 10 minutes. The dish I was most interested in, the blackthroat seaperch with yuzu, was already sold out... so I chose the salt-grilled mackerel instead. I ordered the salt-grilled mackerel for 1,100 yen and immediately received two small side dishes (pickles and dried radish) when I sat down. The main dish arrived 15 minutes after ordering. I was surprised by the size of the mackerel...! There were not just one, but two plump mackerels on the plate. I've never seen anything like it before! The skin was crispy and fragrant, cooked perfectly. The mackerel was cooked well with a nice amount of fat, making it incredibly delicious! It was firm and the salt seasoning went well with rice. It was a satisfying set meal with well-cooked rice. Thank you for the meal!

On July 4, 2022, I visited a restaurant for the first time after passing by it many times. I was hesitant to enter because I couldn't see the atmosphere inside. However, I decided to give it a try early in the evening. When I entered at 6:00 PM, I was surprised by the lack of precautions such as temperature checks and ventilation. There were no partitions at the tables or counter, and it was unclear how seating was different from normal. I was seated at a table after informing them that I was alone. I started with a bottle of beer and ordered various dishes such as mozuku vinegar, edamame with garlic butter, and blackthroat seaperch grilled with miso. For drinks, I had a shikwasa sour and a Junmai Daiginjo sake highball. The portions were generous and suitable for 2-3 people. The grilled blackthroat seaperch, recommended by the staff, was indeed delicious and made me crave rice. Overall, I left satisfied and full. Thank you for the meal.

The grilled fish lunch at Taisho in Kachidoki is excellent. The blackthroat seaperch grilled fish lunch with negitoro side dish is amazing. The grilled fish is not your average thickness that you would find at a casual dining place. The texture is firm and the taste is great. It may not beat the charcoal-grilled dishes at Rikujouki in Nakano, but it's still quite impressive. No wonder there's always a line. It cost 1100 yen. Thank you for the meal~

I strolled around the area near Kachidoki Station for lunch today. I took the Toei Oedo Line and exited the station towards Shinjima Bridge, then took the escalator at exit A4 down to the basement floor. As I reached the landing, I saw "Yotsuba" for standing soba on the left and "Koke" for Yokohama-style ramen on the right, both directly connected to the station. Continuing up the escalator to the ground floor, I found "Taimasa" where I decided to have lunch today. It was 12:35 on a weekday and the restaurant was full, with two men and a woman waiting ahead of me, so I waited outside for about 3 minutes. When I finally entered the restaurant, I was seated at a table after a 2-minute wait. The menu included: - Blackthroat sea perch with yuzu pepper: 1,000 yen - Grilled mackerel: 1,000 yen - Grilled salmon: 1,000 yen - Snow crab cream croquette: 1,000 yen - Extra large rice: 50 yen - Rice refill: 100 yen - Green salad: 100 yen Feeling hungry, I ordered the grilled mackerel and extra large rice. I was served a small dish of simmered dish and pickles while waiting, and after about 10 minutes, my grilled mackerel set with extra large rice and miso soup arrived. The set included grilled mackerel, rice, miso soup, simmered dish, and pickles. The presentation of the extra large rice was impressive, resembling a manga character's meal, and the grilled mackerel came with three thick slices. The mackerel was firm and not falling apart, with crispy and fragrant skin. The well-cooked fish paired perfectly with grated daikon, and the rice was disappearing quickly. At the first floor of the Tsukiji Crossing View Tower, there is a delicious fish restaurant! I arrived a bit late, but decided to try it out anyway. There is a standing bar called Kanemasu near the restaurant. I visited alone around 12:30 for lunch. The restaurant was already full, and I had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated. Most of the customers were women, making up about 70% of the total. The lunch menu includes options like Black Mutsu with Yuzu, Grilled Mackerel, Grilled Salmon, Grilled Atka Mackerel, and Seaweed and Negitoro Rice Bowl, all priced at 1,000 yen each. The most popular dish, Black Mutsu with Yuzu, was sold out, so I ordered the Seaweed and Negitoro Rice Bowl along with a side of Green Salad (100 yen). The rice bowl was satisfying with plenty of rice topped with seaweed and negitoro, creating a great combination. Adding grated nagaimo halfway through provides a different texture and flavor. While the lunch price goes over 1,000 yen, the portion is generous enough that even men might struggle to finish it, but it was very satisfying. On my way to work in Harumi, I stopped by this restaurant near Kachidoki Station for lunch around 12:30. The restaurant was almost full, with only one seat available. Lucky me. The menu had 5 items, but the mackerel salt-grilled was sold out. I ordered the black sea bream with yuzu flavor for 1,000 yen and a small portion of minced tuna with green onions for 100 yen. First, a small side dish and pickles were served. I nibbled on some hijiki while waiting for the main dish. After a while, the rice, black sea bream, and miso soup arrived. My first impression was that the fish was huge!! I was really surprised. Seeing the size of the fish, I knew I had to eat less rice to finish everything. The rice was shiny and looked delicious. I tried the black sea bream and it was so tasty - the flesh was fluffy and fatty, and it went well with the grated daikon radish. This restaurant is a gem. The minced tuna with green onions was also a steal for 100 yen. The miso soup was delicious too. I felt so happy. I will definitely come back again.
