I have visited Sushiroku Sushi several times. The hospitality of the head chef and the female owner always puts me at ease. Even though I was not born and raised in Kichijoji, I always feel a sense of acceptance from the locals, which makes me happy. On this day, I ordered the basic Nami sushi for 1,200 yen. Nami sushi is really just a simple type of sushi, but sometimes you just crave this kind of non-luxurious sushi. My husband ordered the Tokusushi for 2,500 yen, which included luxurious sushi with fatty tuna, sea urchin, and salmon roe. This place seems like a local sushi restaurant where you can enjoy the familiarity of the ingredients rather than just focusing on freshness. Personally, I always find the squid delicious here. I visited in the evening this time, but their lunch Chirashi bowl is also very affordable, so I highly recommend trying it out.

A sushi restaurant located a 3-minute walk from the Tachinocho bus stop on Kichijoji Street. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a counter and about 10 seats, run by a cheerful couple. It is popular among locals but also welcoming to first-time visitors. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by the owner and shown to a seat at the counter. I ordered the chef's choice sashimi, which was beautifully presented with red and white fish and shellfish. The freshness and flavors were excellent. I also had a sushi set with various types of nigiri and rolls, which were delicious and satisfying. The casual and friendly atmosphere made me feel at ease, and I even received some additional dishes from other customers. The total bill, including beer, came to 6,400 yen. Overall, it was a pleasant experience at this sushi restaurant in a residential area.
