When I visited the second restaurant, I enjoyed some delicious pan-fried soup dumplings and endless Dragon Highballs. Just like last time, the soup dumplings were a bit too hard, but I hope they will be cooked just right next time. Looking forward to it! Thank you for the delicious meal!

All-you-can-drink sour cocktails on the table for 1 hour for 750 yen, fruit platter all-you-can-drink. I have been to this place a few times before for dine-in and takeout, but this was my first time trying the all-you-can-drink sour cocktails. I ordered shrimp wontons, pan-fried dumplings, shumai, Lu Rou Mian, and spicy flavored egg. Personally, I think the fruit platter wasn't necessary. The spice in the sour cocktails was a hit! All-you-can-drink for 1 hour at 1,000 yen with the spice is a good deal, right? The seating area is on the 1st and 2nd floors on Suzuran Street, and it's quite spacious, so I thought I could walk in without a reservation. However, it was full and I had to wait for about 15 minutes. I guess it's better to make a reservation on weekends in Sangenjaya.

I felt like eating grilled Xiao Long Bao, so I went to this restaurant after having some dumplings. The bottom skin was crispy and the top was chewy! The food was quite delicious! I also ordered a beer, which I finished quickly, and had a satisfying time. I will definitely come back here with an empty stomach next time. Thank you for the meal! *As usual, I forgot to take a picture of the actual food...

There was a Taiwanese street food-like shop in Sangenjaya. I ordered the Tainan set for 1050 yen, which came with grilled xiaolongbao and Lu Rou Fan. I resisted the temptation of the all-you-can-drink sour on the table due to my plans afterwards. The Lu Rou Fan had tender meat cooked with spices, giving it an authentic taste. The grilled xiaolongbao had a crispy bottom and a juicy filling with delicious ingredients and soup. The atmosphere of the shop and the food both had a strong Taiwanese vibe, making it a satisfying meal.

The tabletop sour fruit drink was fun!!! The soup dumplings were also delicious and piping hot. The coriander in the dan dan noodles was a little bit less, but you can drink cheaply with the dan dan noodles and soup dumplings set! The glasses and stickers are cute and stylish! LOL

Lemon Chuhai (400 yen), Tainan Set (1050 yen) with grilled xiaolongbao and braised pork rice, Hsinchu Set (1150 yen) with shumai and Chen Mapo rice. This Neo Izakaya in Sangenjaya offers a Taiwanese atmosphere and great value for money. There is no table charge, but when you order, a container of pickled vegetables is brought to your table, which is all-you-can-eat! The rich flavors go well with drinks. They also offer a drink bar where you can make your own sour drinks for 1000 yen per hour, but we opted for individual drinks this time. The glasses with the restaurant's name and illustrations are cute. The xiaolongbao is crispy with hot soup inside. Be careful as the soup can splash out if you bite into it, so use the container provided. The braised pork rice has a sweet flavor with a hint of star anise, but the pork belly was a bit tough. The portion size is generous. The shumai is juicy and offers a variety of flavors, with the green vegetable shumai being a favorite. The Chen Mapo rice is authentic and spicy with a gradual build-up of heat. The strong flavors make it easy to enjoy with rice and drinks. Another generous portion. The lack of table charge and cover charge is great. The generous portions and reasonable prices make this a fantastic restaurant with great value for money.

I had baked soup dumplings and Taiwan maze soba! The baked soup dumplings had a chewy and crispy skin with plenty of juicy meat inside, very delicious. When I dipped it in Chinese black vinegar and homemade spicy sauce, it disappeared in no time. The maze soba was spicy and goes well with beer. I mixed the remaining sauce with rice at the end and it was delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice, I would like to visit again!

The tantanmen noodles and pan-fried dumplings are both good, but the tantanmen noodles have the potential to be even better with just a slight increase in soup temperature. The dumplings are average, not worth a special trip, but good enough for a casual visit.

The place has started to change, with people sitting outside on chairs drinking, but I hesitated to go in so the inside was not crowded. I wanted to come at night next time, so I came at night this time. As soon as I entered, it had the authentic Taiwanese atmosphere. You can enjoy authentic Taiwanese cuisine at a reasonable price. The grilled soup dumplings and shrimp shumai are big and delicious, highly recommended. I tried the mapo tofu for the first time, it's very spicy!! It might be recommended for those who like spicy food. It might go well with alcohol, but it was too spicy for me. They seem to specialize in shochu, with table servers available. There are fruit and spice options. I didn't try it this time, but for those who like alcohol, it's a must-try.

I was looking forward to trying the sheng jian bao that I used to eat in Shanghai, but the ones I had here were quite different. While they were made fresh on the spot, they didn't have the same unique skin, juicy meat juice, and harmonious filling that I remembered. I was disappointed.

I went to Dapaidan in Sangenjaya, which I had been curious about for a while. They had various set options including noodles/rice with dumplings and xiaolongbao, which were all very delicious and a great deal. They had a variety of xiaolongbao and dumplings to choose from, making it a fun and tasty dining experience!

The Three Tsubo Cha-ya store in Sangenjaya opened before Shimo-Kitazawa. I often passed by this "Suzuran Street" and was curious about this restaurant. The "Dapaidan 105" in Shimo-Kitazawa was good, so I was excited to try this one. The store is actually quite spacious with both first and second floor seating. Since the first floor was crowded, I opted for the second floor. The atmosphere is interesting, almost like being in a foreign country. The menu seems slightly different from Shimo-Kitazawa. There was no Taiwan maze soba set, but that was fine since I wanted to try the tantanmen. I had already tried the pan-fried soup dumplings, so this time I went for the shumai. I ordered the "Kaohsiung Tantanmen and Three-Color Shumai Set (950 yen)." The tantanmen had a comfortable level of spiciness, and the shumai had a nice variety. For 950 yen, it was quite a good deal. The food wasn't exceptionally delicious, but it was intriguing enough to make me want to try different combinations. Each dish was just a step away from being special, which was impressive. I look forward to going back again.

Visited without a reservation on the weekend with 4 people as the second stop. Of course, we took advantage of the all-you-can-drink lemon sour on the table. It was actually my first time using a table server, and the flavor-changing syrups were delicious, making me drink too much. We ordered a variety of dishes such as grilled soup dumplings, leek buns, boiled dumplings, and shumai. They were all hot and juicy and delicious! The service was quick, and the cost performance was good, making this a must-visit restaurant. Visit rating: 3.2

I often go to this restaurant for lunch. My usual order is the Taipei set (3 xiao long bao and choice of noodles). The first time I tried the pan-fried xiao long bao, the soup burst out and stained my clothes. But don't worry, they provide aprons. I keep coming back here because I love the pan-fried xiao long bao. It's really delicious. I've tried a few other main dishes, but the wonton noodles are still my favorite. When the first floor is full, they guide you to the second floor. This time, it was reserved for a private event. I will definitely come back again!

I just returned from Taiwan a few months ago, and this restaurant was one I had been wanting to visit so badly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very Taiwanese, which is fantastic. Even though the staff didn't understand when I said "Taipei" (thinking I was referring to Taiwan beer), I just enjoyed the ambiance and went along with it. The dishes were all a little different from the authentic Taiwanese ones, but I still think they are okay to enjoy here. The closest to Taiwan might have been the "tantzai noodles." The menu seemed to be a bit biased towards dim sum and rice dishes, but there are still plenty of simple and delicious Taiwanese dishes out there! However, I felt that this restaurant was perfect for experiencing the late-night street food stalls in Taiwan. Thank you for the meal!

Located on Suzuran Street in Sancha, this shop has a vibrant interior that resembles a Taiwanese street stall. During lunchtime, I chose the set menu of pan-fried soup dumplings and mapo tofu. The pan-fried soup dumplings can be a bit tricky as they are filled with juicy meat that can burst out unexpectedly. They are very satisfying to eat with a crispy bottom, making them easier to enjoy compared to regular soup dumplings. The mapo tofu had an authentic taste, and I was able to enjoy the pan-fried soup dumplings without burning myself until the very end.

Last time, did you go upstairs to the second floor and not really pay attention to the interior of the restaurant? The menu on the walls gives a real authentic feeling. The pan-fried dumplings were a bit overcooked? It wasn't as impressive as last time, but the consistent deliciousness was definitely there! Thank you for the meal!

For a moment, I hadn't been eating much of the trendy soup dumplings, but I was drawn into this restaurant with a Taiwanese street food atmosphere. They have the popular tabletop lemon sour drinks, so you can enjoy them at a reasonable price. The soup dumplings here are not the type that splatter soup everywhere, but just the right amount of soup. I like it this way because it doesn't cause burns. The seasoning of dishes like tantan noodles is not Japanese-style, which may divide opinions, but personally, I like it! It's fun to feel like you're in a Taiwanese izakaya. Thank you for the meal.

I finally managed to go there. It was always closed when I tried to go. Their business hours are irregular. I always seemed to have bad timing... It was lunchtime, but I was seated on the second floor and there was no one else there... I could take as many pictures as I wanted (laughs). I was curious about the grilled soup dumplings, but my impression was that they were chewy but not particularly memorable. They were tasty, but the skin left a stronger impression than the filling. The noodles and half roast pork rice for lunch were simply delicious. My companion enjoyed a Qingdao beer (laughs). It left me wanting to come back at night to try more dishes. Also, the innovative hand washing in the restroom was great (laughs).

Let's try a new trendy restaurant in Sangenjaya, Dapaidan 105. It's a relatively new place that opened about a year ago. Their specialty is the pan-fried soup dumplings, along with dim sum and Taiwanese cuisine. The flavors are Taiwanese with a hint of star anise. Recommended dishes include pan-fried soup dumplings, shumai, fried chicken, dan dan noodles, braised pork rice, and spring rolls. The best way to enjoy is to focus on the soup dumplings.
