#Fukuoka #part-time work is also completed♪ For Monday's lunch, I went to the 9th floor of JR Hakata Station to have the special sushi set at Sushi Kappo Yamachuu for 6050 yen. It included Thai, lean tuna, flounder, raw shrimp, spear squid, mini bowl of sea urchin and salmon roe, horse mackerel, abalone, seared fatty tuna, conger eel, egg, seared bonito, Hiroshima-style rolled vegetables, tempura of shrimp heads, red miso soup, and strawberry sherbet as an additional dessert. I also added a Sabi (wasabi) separately. I sat at the counter, which I reserved in advance, and enjoyed watching the chef's skilled movements. Sake choices were Tanaka Rokugo and Higashi Ichi. Sushi is best enjoyed at the counter, where you can observe the chef's techniques. #Fukuoka gourmet #Fukuoka lunch

I visited after 2 years. I wanted to eat squid at Kotaro, but they were fully booked, so I turned around and came here instead. I prefer sitting at the sushi counter, so I waited a bit longer to sit there. I had some sashimi, sushi, and white wine, and left feeling satisfied and content. It cost about 30,000 yen for two people, but it was worth it. Overall, it was a good experience.

Those who are accustomed to Edomae sushi may not particularly like this restaurant. The atmosphere and the staff are friendly, making it easy to use for business entertainment. The sushi is delicious and you can feel the freshness of the ingredients, but if you are used to Edomae sushi, you may find the vinegar rice too salty and the Kyushu soy sauce too strong, which I personally did not like. However, the tempura made from shrimp heads was crispy and delicious. It's not that the sushi chef or the ingredients are bad, it's just a matter of personal preference. Considering this, I felt that the lunch menu priced at around 7,000 yen was a bit expensive.

I used it for lunch. Despite having a 10-person wait at Kuuten, the restaurant's turnover is fast. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we were able to get a table. I ordered the "nigiri" for 3,300 yen. Considering the price, it includes fatty tuna and sea urchin, so I think it offers good value for money.

In the past, I used to often use Oriental for waiting for the Shinkansen, but since Kuuten opened in the city, I feel more comfortable here with the spacious atmosphere. I had the Special Nigiri for 6050 yen. It had been a long time since I last visited. When did they start using red vinegar? The sushi is what you would call "Hakata-style". We enjoyed it slowly in a private room. They even gave my child a complimentary sherbet. Thank you very much. It was a delicious meal.

A conveniently located sushi restaurant in Hakata Station Building! I stumbled upon it with a friend and decided to give it a try. The sushi was decent, and of course, you have to try the squid when in Fukuoka! It had a nice atmosphere in the restaurant area. Overall, it was delicious. I would definitely visit again if I have the chance!

I visited the restaurant right at 11:00 when it opened, and by 11:30 it was already full. I ordered the premium sushi. Eating at the counter meant the timing of the dishes coming out was perfect. The sushi rice was small so even women could easily eat it all. Everything was delicious, but nothing was particularly impressive. The pickled ginger was tasty.

Enjoying traditional sushi from a long-established restaurant in Hakata! I visited Yamachuu, a famous Hakata sushi restaurant located on the 9th floor of Hakata Station. Despite the crowded tourist scene post-COVID, I chose this restaurant as it had a shorter line compared to others. After waiting for about 35 minutes, I finally got a seat. I debated between the 3,300 yen budget course and the 6,050 yen premium course, and ended up choosing the latter. Since I had a 1,000 yen ticket and a 1,000 yen shopping voucher, I decided to treat myself. I requested tea as I was driving, and was served a small appetizer. The dishes were served in two stages, with the first course including shrimp, sea bream, squid, tuna toro, and yellowtail toro. The presentation was exquisite, with a lemon-covered shrimp head served as tempura. The second course featured abalone, flounder, wagyu beef, conger eel, toro tataki, tamagoyaki, and Hiroshima mustard leaf roll. The abalone was crunchy, and the wagyu beef was tender and delicious. The meal ended with a red miso soup and a dessert of sorbet and roasted green tea. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

This season is all about clams! I ended up having seconds and ate a lot. I had a full course of sushi. They are small in size and you can eat as many as you want. Besides sushi, they also have a variety of appetizers. I was disappointed when I found out that fugu shirako was out of season, but then I tried tai shirako for the first time and it was delicious. The order of the dishes in the photos may be random, but the dessert came out last, haha.

Based on a friend's recommendation, I visited this sushi restaurant for the first time for Saturday lunch. I was excited to try Fukuoka sushi for the first time and arrived around 11:30. It was crowded, and the wait outside felt like about 40 minutes. I ordered a beer and enjoyed my first "okyuuto". The assorted sushi was delicious, every piece was great! Thank you for the meal.

Both the sushi and sashimi were delicious. The restaurant was crowded, which made it a bit noisy and hard to focus on the food. The sauce from the previous sushi was left on the plate, making it look less appealing as time went on.

I went to a sushi restaurant in Fukuoka after a long time, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lovely. Since it was a course menu, I was already full before getting to the sushi. It was quite a lot of food, but the dishes like ark shell sashimi, Nodoguro, etc., were all high-quality ingredients and delicious. The amount of salmon roe and sea urchin was generous, and as a big fan of them, I was very satisfied. 😊✨

We had a special sushi set for two, two beers, three servings of sake, and added some grilled dishes and a variety of sushi, which cost us a little over 20,000 yen. The taste was good, the service and atmosphere were average, and they had a good selection of sake. The price was a bit on the higher side, but I would like to try the main branch next time. *I forgot to take many photos.

My partner and I went to Kouten no Yamanaka for sushi, as my partner was craving it. We sat at the counter, and I ordered an 8-piece nigiri set for 2750 yen, while my partner got a 10-piece nigiri set for 4400 yen. The difference was in the quantity. We also had Tekka maki rolls, with differences in akami and toro, and a starter with pickles, and Hakata-style dishes like sea bream, tuna, prawn, squid, yellowtail, sea urchin, salmon roe, Tekka, Tamago, and Hiroshima greens. I wasn't sure about the Hiroshima greens roll, but it was delicious. The prawn head tempura was particularly tasty. And the pickled ginger was a hit! The mini uni and ikura rice bowl and the thick squid slices were also delicious. For dessert, we had firm sherbet.

I visited this place because I wanted to have some sushi as a snack with alcohol during my business trip. The atmosphere was calm and it was nice to be able to enjoy local fish. However, without looking at the prices, I randomly ordered some items, and in the end, considering the quality and quantity of the sushi, the location on the top floor of the station building might have made it seem a bit pricey. But it seemed like it would be nice to have a course meal at the counter, so if I have the chance, I would like to go back and try it again in a more relaxed manner.

On the second day of my business trip to Hakata, I made a reservation at Yamakun, a popular sushi restaurant. Despite the usual long line, I was seated promptly at the counter. I decided to have a drink even though it was only lunchtime. The rice portions were small, the fatty tuna was sweet, and the shrimp had a lively tail. The decorative knife work was impressive. The ikura and uni in a small bowl were not individual grains but rather salmon roe. The abalone and kanpachi were delicious, and the shrimp head was served as tempura. From this point on, I can't quite remember the details even when looking at the photos. The mackerel was served in a battered style, and the meal was finished with fatty tuna and pickled plum. It was a luxurious lunch.

The place is located on the 9th floor of JR Hakata Station City, making it easy to access. I went with a guest from Tokyo for dinner, opting for the 8800 yen course. We started with appetizers, followed by a sashimi platter, fried dishes, grilled fish, and sushi. The overall taste was delicious. However, there were limited alcohol options and the staff sometimes didn't notice when we tried to call them. The sushi selection was quite standard, so I wished for a bit more variety. I heard that their lunch menu offers great value, so I plan to visit for lunch next time.

First, I had a bottled beer, Premium Malts, followed by my usual 5500 yen sushi set. The fatty and delicious sea bream belly, slightly watery but tasty spear squid with salt and yuzu, live sweet shrimp abalone with salt and sea urchin, a larger than usual size horse mackerel with ginger, flounder with grated daikon, abalone with salt and torched fatty tuna with grated radish and green onion. I also had Mitsui's sake, eel, raw egg that wasn't too runny, sweet, and just to my liking medium fatty tuna hand roll, pickled mackerel with fatty nori, and Hiroshima-style red miso soup which was delicious. I will definitely come back again.

I had a casual lunch in front of the station. It cost 5000 yen. I had 10 pieces of sushi, chawanmushi, miso soup, and dessert. The sushi was very good, especially the squid which was intricately prepared. The golden snapper, shrimp, tuna, everything was delicious. The abalone, eel, and egg were also tasty!

Returning from a business trip in Hakata. I decided to visit a branch of a well-established sushi restaurant in Hakata station building. The chef, who seemed to be the owner, immediately seated me at the counter where there was an available spot. The restaurant was lively and almost full. I ordered the "Jou nigiri" set for 3,300 yen. Since it was a counter service, the sushi was served one by one on the upper plate. The pace was a bit fast, but the sushi was delicious and well worth the price. Each piece had different flavors, some with soy sauce and others with salt. I also tried the local dish "okyuto" for the first time. The staff efficiently refilled my tea and served dessert. Despite not ordering alcohol, I finished my meal in about 30 minutes. It's a great place to quickly enjoy delicious sushi before heading out. However, it may not be suitable for those looking for a leisurely lunch. I would definitely visit this restaurant again on my next business trip.

I made a reservation after checking the menu on Tabelog for the first time. When I entered the restaurant and looked at the menu, the menu I saw on Tabelog seemed to be for lunch. I ordered the premium nigiri for 8000 yen, along with seaweed, draft beer, and a small bottle of sake. The portion was larger than I expected, and two women were satisfied. Although I forgot to take a photo, the meal also came with red miso soup. My favorite part was the sweet vinegar pickled ginger instead of regular pickled ginger. It was a popular restaurant with a good portion size, but there were some drawbacks: - The bones of the conger eel were still intact and required careful chewing to avoid getting stuck. - Some bones that seemed to have been removed from the sushi were still attached. - The distance from the waitress was too close. These were the negative points.
