Starting with the conclusion, jokingly saying "I don't need teeth, I can drink" but indeed, it is a tonkatsu that you can drink. As expected from a "Top 100 Tonkatsu Restaurants," I felt relieved for some reason. The exterior has a very calming appearance. Prior information mentioned that if you miss out on the first batch of 8 people, you will have to wait for a considerable amount of time. I was cautious and arrived at 10:10, but there was already a waiting list of 2 people. By 10:30, there were 11 people waiting, and by 11:00, there were 13 people waiting (5 people were not able to get in, and there was still a wait of over 30 minutes). While waiting in line, they took our orders:
- Top Sirloin Cutlet Lunch: 150g for 1,300 yen
- Top Loin Cutlet Lunch: 200g for 1,300 yen
Upon entering, we were asked to pay immediately, and it's cash only. It was announced that taking photos inside the restaurant, other than the food, is not allowed. By the way, the interior was very clean and had a sense of cleanliness. Refills for cabbage, rice, and miso soup are free. On the table, there were tonkatsu sauce, soy sauce, mustard, and dressing. The recommended way to eat by the restaurant is to start with salted lemon, then wasabi soy sauce, and finally tonkatsu sauce. There was sesame in a container, so we crushed it and mixed it with tonkatsu sauce. The cabbage dressing was a simple shiso dressing. The food was served in about 15 minutes, and first of all, visually, the cross-section was a beautiful pink color, with juices oozing out. The first bite with salted lemon was surprisingly tender, almost too soft that even if I lose my teeth in the future, I could still eat it. There was hardly any greasiness, and it was very light and delicious. The sirloin was also tender enough, with a little fat but a noticeable sweetness. The breading was thin, and the thickness of the sirloin and loin was impressive, providing a satisfying bite. I had plenty of cabbage and miso soup refills. The white rice was shiny and delicious, but I had to resist. Thank you for the meal, it was incredibly delicious. I hope to visit again soon. At the time of leaving, there was a line of 13 people, including the 5 who couldn't get in at the opening.
