Fullya in the classic Hirao area is a place that is hard to beat when it comes to yakitori. I started with the classic chicken sashimi, followed by a refreshing potato salad with skin vinegar, and then enjoyed the main dish of yakitori. I arrived at 7:00 pm on this day, but the place was already packed, and most of the limited skewers were sold out. If you want to enjoy the limited skewers to the fullest, I recommend visiting right when they open! I will definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The entrance of the store was like "Huh!" and made me wonder if it was okay. However, the inside of the store had a nice atmosphere with an interesting design. I visited to try Furuya's "Takasaka chicken". I had dishes like silver skin, hugging body, sleeves, bonjiri, and kokoro no kori, as well as a sashimi platter. It was delicious. I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

I had a reservation at 18:30, but I should have gone earlier. There were hardly any skewers of premium cuts available, which was disappointing. But we cheered up with a toast and forgot about it. It's a popular restaurant, you can tell. The staff were also very nice (the energetic girls made us want to order more with their fun attitude). We made sure to book our next reservation before leaving.

I saw the photos of the dishes here and thought they looked good, so I made a reservation and visited. I reserved for the opening at 5:00 in the evening, but despite the location not being great, customers kept coming in one after another. The restaurant seems to have renovated a house, giving it a mysterious and calming atmosphere. There were about 3 staff members in the kitchen and 3-4 in the dining area, making for a well-prepared team. I started with a lemon sour. The appetizer was a refreshing dish with a hot spring egg topped with smashed plum. We ordered oden, salad with mitsuba and seaweed, chicken wing karage, burdock skewer, chicken neck meat, shiitake mushrooms, gizzard, zucchini skewer, liver, tsukune, thigh meat, and finished with dried persimmon butter manju. The dishes that left an impression were the salad with mitsuba and seaweed, chicken neck meat, and tsukune. I had never eaten Takasaka Jidori chicken before, but is the meat supposed to be pinkish in color? It was a new experience for me to see the chicken neck meat and tsukune with a slight pinkish tint. The chicken neck meat was juicy and had a good texture. The tsukune was refreshing and juicy, mixed with finely chopped shiso leaves in coarsely ground meat. We ordered some unusual vegetable skewers, but they were either too tough or seemed to be deep-fried before grilling? Overall, the quality of the food did not quite exceed my expectations. It gave more of a vibe of a drinking place that also serves yakitori rather than a dedicated yakitori restaurant. There were many female customers, making it a comfortable place to drink. The restaurant seemed to be particular about various aspects, but the quality of the food did not impress as much as expected.

On this day, I had meetings in Osaka and then traveled to Fukuoka for a business trip. I decided to try out a yakitori izakaya that I had been curious about and had bookmarked. I called the restaurant and was told they had availability after 9:00 PM, so I checked into my hotel, finished my work, and headed to the restaurant. The restaurant, called Tori to Sakana Furu Ya, is located between Yakuin Station and Nishitetsu Hirao Station in a secluded alley. Please note that the location on Google Maps may be slightly off, so be careful. I arrived at the restaurant at the reserved time and was seated at the counter. I noticed a foreign woman sitting next to me struggling with her order with the staff. I looked at the menu and ordered the following items: - Drinks: Small draft beer, Suntory The Premium Malt's Kaoru Ale (excellent foam) - Black wood shop, two glasses of water mixed with whiskey - Potato salad with mustard and additive-free cheese - Assorted sashimi of Takasaka Jidori chicken - Skewers: Chicken thigh with salt and tare sauce - Asakura lotus root chips - Boneless chicken wings - Chicken meatballs - Special chicken broth oden with Asakura daikon, Ibaraki quail eggs, and Itozaki konjac - White liver - Chicken rice with burdock - Red miso soup with Takasaka Jidori chicken, mushrooms, and Nanseki fried tofu - Special dried persimmon butter sandwich I was very satisfied with the delicious food, especially considering the cost performance of using Takasaka Jidori chicken. I wanted to try going to Furiya with a friend. The miraculous liver sashimi, when eaten with ginger and soy sauce, brings out the natural sweetness of the liver and is incredibly delicious. The chicken breast, meatballs, duck breast, gizzard, white liver, asparagus, and black mushrooms were all delicious as well. There were various types of highballs and a good selection of sake. I would like to go again next time.

The hyper-delicious food at this place hasn't changed! They open at 5:00 PM, and when I arrived after 6:00 PM, they only had one limited edition skewer available. Some items on the regular menu were also sold out, so I recommend making a reservation and going right at opening time. Luckily, they had enough chicken sashimi for our group! We enjoyed savoring the unique parts of the chicken.

I was able to go with a reservation the day before! I went at 7 pm and only the limited "dakimushi" skewers were left, but they were amazing! Next time, I want to go earlier and try various types of skewers. The grilling of the yakitori was also delicious.

I have visited this restaurant several times, and this time I was able to get a reservation in the evening by chance when I called. I can't understand why someone would cancel a reservation at such a popular place. The restaurant is bustling with many staff members, both new and old, which proves its popularity. You can enjoy fresh Takasaka chicken here, starting with sashimi and moving on to rare cuts of yakitori. The meal ends with soboro rice, but I am also interested in trying the chicken ramen. With a wide variety of menu options, this is a restaurant where I want to try many different dishes!

It has been three years since my last visit. I was impressed three years ago, but this time it was just average. The food was still delicious, with attention to detail. However, the service and atmosphere seemed lacking. There were staff members who were attentive and friendly, but some lacked smiles. The tables and counters were a bit small, and personally, I couldn't relax and enjoy my meal.

The exterior is a renovated old building, and the interior has a warm atmosphere. Fukuoka City Tori and Sakana Full Ya March Mid-Month Dinner wanted to eat chicken sashimi (^O^) Sashimi assortment for 1280 yen per serving for 2 people ordered, arrived at 17:30 for an 18:00 reservation, but only limited skewers left were hugging. Seems like there are no limited items unless you come right after opening. Ordered skewers, Sandzuri was crispy, liver was tender, breast meat was protein-rich, makes you want to drink sake right from the start. The hugging skewer had crispy skin and fluffy meat, the liver was soft and delicious. The tsukune was different from what was imagined, but tasty. The potato salad with mustard seeds was delicious, and the oden snap peas were very sweet! I made a reservation for 7:00 PM on a regular day. The entrance was hidden deep in a narrow path, giving a cozy and hidden feel. There were limited skewers available besides the regular ones, but by 7:00 PM, most of the limited skewers were sold out. The only ones left were half-raw aburi skewers and horse sashimi from Kumamoto, so I ordered those. The half-raw aburi skewers were very delicious! The horse sashimi was also incredibly tasty! I also ordered a sashimi platter and grilled items. I fell in love with Takasaka Jidori chicken. The grilling method and salt level were just to my liking. Everything was great, with no disappointments, and the alcohol went down smoothly. The konjac in the oden had a unique texture and was delicious!

The store opens every day at 5pm. Despite making a reservation, there is always a line because they have limited quantity menu items. By the time it gets full, all the limited menu items are usually sold out. The Takasaka Jidori chicken from Tanba Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture, is known for its rich flavor and aroma. The limited skewer menu featuring rare parts twisted during preparation and fresh Kumamoto horse sashimi are also very popular. They also have a wide selection of alcohol, including beer, sake, and wine carefully selected by the staff. It's nice that you can enjoy the Tanaka Rokugo limited menu, 6513, abundantly at this restaurant. I recently visited Kagonofuruya, which is a related store, but this place is more welcoming to younger people with its reasonable pricing. It's best to order quickly and finish up within the two-hour time limit. Restaurants in renovated old houses have been increasing nationwide, and the nostalgic Showa era atmosphere seems to appeal to young people. Next time, I would like to start with the "oden," which boasts a soup made from the Takasaka Jidori chicken that I skipped this time. Oden made with carefully selected seasonal ingredients from all over the country also seems to be a popular menu item.

I visited this restaurant for a gathering with friends. It is located a bit off the main street, and the atmosphere inside was very nice and bright. We sat at the counter where we could see the chefs cooking, which was reassuring. We tried a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious and beautifully presented. I have used this place multiple times. If someone asks where to casually eat yakitori in Fukuoka, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The taste is truly outstanding. They also have limited quantity items, so I recommend making a reservation early. If the customer service was even better, I would definitely use this place even more.

I called on the same day and miraculously got a reservation because there was only one spot available. This restaurant is ranked in the top 5000 on Tabelog, so my expectations were high! Here is what we ordered: 1) Assorted sashimi (tongue, thigh, liver), 2) Grilled chicken skin with ponzu sauce, 3) Horse sashimi, 4) Deep-fried chicken wings, 5) Rice with chicken, 6) Chicken offal stew, 1) Chicken breast, 2) Thigh and breast meat, 3) Chicken with sauce, 4) Crunchy heart, 5) Gizzard, 6) Meatball, 7) Chicken wings, 8) White liver, 9) Neck meat. The chicken offal stew, with its rich soy sauce flavor, was especially delicious! Both the skewers and the other dishes were of high quality and I left very satisfied. The chicken sashimi at Furiya is exceptional compared to other places. The hot spring egg appetizer is delicious, and the chicken dishes are all tasty. The zucchini vegetable skewers are juicy and satisfying. The speed of service is impressive, adding to the overall satisfaction. For first-time visitors, it may be easy to miss the restaurant, so be careful! I had trouble finding it when I went for the first time.

"About an 8-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station is the restaurant called 'Tori to Sakana Furuya'! It's within walking distance from Tenjin Station and Yakuin Station as well! The restaurant is not directly facing the road, but located a little ways down a small path. It has a nice atmosphere with a traditional Japanese house style! I was able to enter around 9pm on the day I visited, but I think it's essential to make a reservation if you plan to visit between 5pm and 7pm. This is because they have limited edition skewers that are only available in limited quantities! On the day I went, of course, the limited edition skewers were sold out... haha. Although I'm not familiar with the chicken industry, Furuya uses the rare 'Takasaka Jitadori (Takasaka Chicken)' which seems to be quite popular! The chicken sashimi and skewers we had were all delicious, and I regretted not coming here as my second stop... haha. When I visit Fukuoka again, I will definitely make sure to come back to this restaurant! Thank you for the meal!"
