Fukuoka City Chuo-ku Daimyo 1-chome area - a 10-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the subway! It is located about an 8-minute walk from the Tenjin area. This is the fourth restaurant of the "Honmono Yakitori Daimyo Hete" group, opened as a chicken dish specialty store called "Kuro Satsuma Chicken" in December 2020! The exterior is on the 2nd floor of a mixed-use building where the "Daimyo Hete Main Store" is located! The interior has an open counter kitchen with 9 seats! The design with wooden counters and chairs gives a warm feeling and a classy atmosphere. There are course meals as well as "Five Skewers," "Seven Skewers," and "Chicken dishes a la carte"! We tried the "Seven Skewers" and recommended chicken dishes. First, we had the "Chawanmushi" - it was hot and smooth with a delicious chicken broth! Next, the recommended "One Night Aged Breast Meat Tataki" with a touch of salt was so delicious - the richness and aging level were perfect. The potential of Kuro Satsuma Chicken is amazing... I am convinced that anything made with this chicken will be delicious. The "Liver Stew" and "White Liver Pate Sandwich" were also excellent! Pairing them with white wine was a great match - both were as delicious as foie gras! The gentle soy sauce flavor of the "Liver Stew" was simply irresistible. It would go well with sake too... The grilling staff explained the "Seven Skewers" and started grilling! We started with the "Thigh Meat" - crispy skin and juicy meat made for a perfect grill and it was delicious. The "Tsukune" was not like the usual fluffy ones from other stores, but a simple and excellent way to taste the "Kuro Satsuma Chicken." The "Skin," "Heart," "Thigh Meat," "Tail," and "Wing Tips" were all delicious and perfectly grilled. For the finale, we had the "Hand-Rolled Egg Yolk" and "Soboro Rice," which were both satisfying until the very end. It was a truly satisfying experience with "Kuro Satsuma Chicken," a top-notch chicken dish specialty store in Fukuoka. Highly recommended. A yakitori restaurant that you would want to visit occasionally. Thank you for the meal. Enjoy Yakitori Life☆

When I went to another restaurant called "Hete," it was full and I was directed to their sister store. It's a stylish place with only a counter. The yakitori served there is definitely delicious. However, the portion is small and the cost performance is not great. I wasn't completely full, but the prices were a bit surprising. I wish the cost performance was a bit better.

I found this place on Tabelog and visited for the first time. It's a small restaurant with just a counter, perfect for two people. I enjoyed the chawanmushi and the tender and well-seasoned chicken sashimi. The yakitori was also delicious. However, I felt that the quality was slightly lacking considering the price of the course. The restaurant had a trendy and stylish atmosphere.

Visited "Honkaku Yakitori Hete" on the 2nd floor of 1F's Hete-san, sister store "Honkaku Yakitori Kei" for the first time. Enjoyed black Satsuma chicken quietly at the counter. Had the 5500 yen Yakitori course. Included in the course were a savory steamed chicken rice bowl, crispy fried chicken salad, and 9 skewers: aged thigh, neck, red eggplant, green onion, neck base, shiitake mushroom, heart, tail, and chicken soup (miso soup). Also enjoyed vegetables such as salad from Itoshima, grilled red eggplant, and grilled shiitake mushrooms. Personally, the tail and fried chicken were exceptionally delicious. The fried chicken paired perfectly with a highball!

You can enjoy Satsuma black chicken here. The appetizer chawanmushi, chicken sashimi, assorted skewers were all delicious. We also ordered about 5 rare cuts as extras. They were crispy on the outside and juicy when you bite into them, very tasty. The minced chicken rice bowl for the finish was also delicious. Although the prices are a bit high, the atmosphere is nice so I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Overall, I decided to explore this restaurant in order to use my Umakaken and it turned out to be quite a high-level yakitori place, despite the relatively high prices. The style is similar to yakitori places in Tokyo, with a focus on quality skewers rather than the typical cabbage and pork belly style. I started with a set of 5 skewers and added more as needed. The chicken thigh sukiyaki-style skewer was delicious, with a flavorful marinade that I wanted to pour over rice. The chawanmushi was also tasty, with a delicate broth. The chicken skin with condiments was a must-order and very flavorful. The aged chicken thigh was crispy and delicious, while the gizzard was also quite good. The chicken heart skewer was a standout, perfect for liver lovers. The eggplant skewer was tasty, although the chicken skewers were the real highlight. The chicken breast was delicious, but not as good as the aged thigh. The chicken liver was also tasty, even though it fell slightly short compared to the heart. The chicken neck skewer was consistently good, and the tsukune skewer was incredibly flavorful and meaty. The chicken cutlet with tartar sauce was unexpectedly delicious, with a tasty tartar sauce. The chicken tenderloin skewer was simply delicious, as was the shiitake mushroom skewer. Finally, the hand-rolled chicken toro sushi was a perfect end to the meal. Overall, the restaurant maintained a high level of quality throughout the meal.

I love Hete-san. When it comes to yakitori, I'm a fan of Torishi-san and Hete-san, so when I heard that Hete-san's new restaurant had opened, I couldn't resist going. Initially, it was a reservation-only and semi-membership system where you couldn't make a reservation without going through a staff member, but now you can make reservations online. They offer courses, but this time I opted for individual items. First of all, the door of the restaurant already exudes a sense of luxury. It's like opening the door before a boss battle. When you open the door, you are greeted by a calm and sophisticated adult space. It's not overly stylish, just the right amount of chic. It's really nice. And the skewers are incredibly delicious. They also select and pour sake generously, and they engage in conversation at just the right times. I ordered 5 skewers of yakitori each, along with 3 other dishes, and I added a lantern skewer. For dessert, I had 3 skewers of offal and hand-rolled sushi. I took a bite of the hand-rolled sushi and I'll definitely order that next time. I should have come here sooner. Maybe next time I'll try the course menu. Thank you for the delicious meal.

While hanging out with a friend near Daimyo, we tried to enter a fully booked restaurant but were directed to this place instead. The cozy space had about 10 seats at the counter, and the friendly staff kindly explained each dish to us. We were told to order the five-skewer set, so we did, along with the chicken thigh sukiyaki-style dish. The meat was moist and flavorful, and the elegant skewers paired well with our drinks. Although the menu wasn't extensive, every dish and drink were delicious, and we had a great time in this comfortable setting.

I visited this place for the first time. When I opened the impressive door, I found a counter with only seats. It is a branch of Tehen, located on the 1st floor. It has been open for about 2 years, but currently (at the time of my visit) it only opens on weekends like Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I made a reservation, but all the counter seats were full, and everyone was checking the business hours like me. They were all saying that it's hard to get a reservation. It seems to be a popular place. They serve course meals using black Satsuma chicken from Kagoshima. Everything was delicious!! But the most impressive dish for me was the skewers of chicken meat freshly cut in the morning and chicken meat aged overnight. When I compared them, the freshly cut chicken meat was juicy and delicious, but the aged chicken meat had a tremendous increase in sweetness. By the way, the last dish, the rice dish, was a hand-rolled sushi with soy sauce-marinated egg yolk and chicken tataki. I was full, but I could enjoy it refreshing. Surprisingly, everything from the beginning to the end was delicious. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all great, and I had a relaxing time at the counter. I definitely want to visit again. It has become one of my favorite restaurants. Thank you for the meal.

I was planning to meet with colleagues from different departments at a curry festival in Canal to have a drink, but then I realized that if we kept eating curry at the festival, we wouldn't be able to drink! So, we quickly changed our plans and made a reservation at a yakitori restaurant where we could enjoy good sake (Tanaka 65, Koimari) that was all-you-can-drink. The restaurant we visited is the fourth location of "Ooname Hete," a yakitori restaurant in Daimyo. The second-floor restaurant has an L-shaped counter that can seat about 10 people, and it seems like it used to be a bar! We started with a toast with Asahi Super Dry and enjoyed the Black Satsuma Chicken Course for 7,000 yen (including drinks). The course included various dishes such as dried squid with grated daikon, tataki of sasami and thigh, simmered chicken meatballs and eggplant, chawanmushi, fried chicken wings, yakitori of thigh (with two types of morning-pulled and aged), heart, shiitake mushrooms, white liver, seseri, and bonjiri. For dessert, we had a rolled omelet with soy-marinated egg yolk and chicken tataki. We enjoyed tasting various parts of the flavorful Black Satsuma Chicken, and the thigh with both morning-pulled and aged meat on the same skewer allowed us to taste the difference in flavor. We also drank wine, but we kept ordering Tanaka and Koimari sake. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal~

I went to Honkaku Yakitori Kei in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. It's been decades since I dined in the lively area of Ohori. The main restaurant behind Kei is Yakiniku Ohori on the first floor. While Ohori is a popular yakitori spot in Fukuoka, Kei focuses on course meals featuring Kagoshima black Satsuma chicken, making it a more upscale dining experience. I opted for the Black Satsuma Chicken Enjoyment Course with all-you-can-drink option for 7000 yen. The menu included various dishes such as sasami and yamaimo somen, chicken tataki, sukiyaki-style thigh meat, and more. The food, especially the yakitori made with black Satsuma chicken, was delicious and high-quality. The chicken had a great texture and juiciness, showcasing the potential of black Satsuma chicken. The drink selection for the all-you-can-drink option was well-curated, featuring sake brands like Koimari Zen and Tanaka Rokugo. As a sake enthusiast, I was very satisfied. I look forward to returning to Kei in Ohori for more delightful dining experiences.

This was my first visit here. I had a course with all-you-can-drink option. First, I had yam noodle somen with chicken breast. The chicken breast was tender and moist, and the yam noodle somen had a wonderful yuzu aroma. I had white wine, which had a decent body. It's different from the all-you-can-drink at izakayas. Then I had a white liver potage, which had a rich flavor. Next was a dish of crispy fried morning-picked chicken breast wrapped in kadaif with a yolk sauce. This alone felt like French cuisine! Underneath the low-temperature cooked white liver was chicken breast with a delicate salt seasoning. I paired this with an Alsace Gewurztraminer. There was also a bonito sashimi with kelp. Inside was a dashi jelly. Then there was rolled chicken breast with grated daikon and salmon roe on top. A refined Japanese dish. Followed by a delicate chawanmushi with chicken broth and a kudzu dashi on top. It had simmered conger eel and chicken dumplings. The dumplings had a hint of sansho pepper, which paired well with the gentle flavor of the conger eel. There was also a fried chicken dish, possibly made with thigh meat and lightly seasoned. The lemon salt and Zoe-style pickled vegetables were delicious. There were seven types of grilled items, including aged and fresh chicken. A unique experience to taste the difference between aged and fresh chicken. The skin was grilled with sauce, there was chicken gizzard, shiitake mushroom, chicken tenderloin, and chicken tail. All were delicious! There was also a white liver stew with quail eggs, a crispy seaweed wrapped rice with chicken mince and egg yolk, and a rich yellow kumquat pudding. All had a refined and deep flavor profile. The chicken kaiseki meal was elegant and well-executed. The price, including all-you-can-drink, was fantastic. The wine was good quality too. But you can also order other delicious drinks separately. Thank you for the wonderful meal. I will definitely visit again.

This time, we visited Keisan, an authentic yakitori restaurant located at 1-10-6 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, on the 2nd floor of Sanseine Daimyo. It is a sister restaurant to Hete on the 1st floor. As the title suggests, you can enjoy a higher level of chicken dishes here. The interior of the restaurant has a traditional Japanese atmosphere, with only a counter seating arrangement, creating a sophisticated adult ambiance. The restaurant offers only course reservations, with two options priced at 5000 yen and 7000 yen, with the only difference being the availability of all-you-can-drink option. The course menu includes:
- Black Satsuma bamboo shoot and yam noodles
- White liver potage
- Morning-picked chicken breast wrapped in kataifi
- Low-temperature cooked white liver
- Black Satsuma breast with kelp
- Kinutamaki
- Chawanmushi
- Simmered conger eel and meatballs
- Fried chicken
- Pickled colorful vegetables
- 7 skewers (1 vegetable) including various chicken parts
- Liver stew
- Hand-rolled with egg yolk
- Rich egg kinkan pudding
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of chicken dishes at Keisan. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is a branch of the authentic yakitori restaurant Onamehete-san, offering only a course with all-you-can-drink for 7000 yen. But to have a delicious course meal with all-you-can-drink featuring black Satsuma chicken at this price, what a surprise! The satisfaction level is too high. The cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant seems perfect for a special date like an anniversary. For those who love chicken, I highly recommend visiting. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! It's definitely worth a visit. Yum yum.

I visited this restaurant in the first half of March! I don't usually drink around the Tenjin area, but I found a place that I really wanted to go to and decided to visit! After doing some research, I found out that it is a high-end yakitori restaurant affiliated with Hetei-san, a famous yakitori place. Even though I have never been to Hetei-san, I was surprised by the completely different atmosphere at this restaurant! I believe the first floor of this restaurant is Hetei-san. They use black Satsuma chicken for their yakitori. The meat is firm with little fat, making it easy to eat and very satisfying. The seating is only at the counter, so you can enjoy your meal quietly, and everything is served as a course menu. It is rare for a yakitori restaurant in this price range to offer all-you-can-drink, which is a great advantage as it allows you to stay within your budget. The course menu, even before the skewers, is excellent and very satisfying. The sashimi in the course is fresh and leaves a lasting impression. I think this restaurant is perfect for business dinners or meals with loved ones! There are no private rooms, so it may be a bit challenging for casual use, but it would be appreciated by food-loving business partners. It may be a bit pricey for everyday dining, but it's a place I would like to visit regularly! A restaurant I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I visited a new type of restaurant that opened next to the famous yakitori restaurant "Hete". This new restaurant offers only set courses, featuring carefully selected black Satsuma chicken in each dish. The location is up the stairs next to Hete. The restaurant only has counter seats, and the menu consists of a single course priced at 7000 yen, including all-you-can-drink alcohol. For non-alcoholic drinks, the price is 5000 yen. The first dish already shows that this is not your typical yakitori restaurant. The bamboo shoot has a simple texture, and the yam noodles are delicious. The white liver potage has a deep flavor, accompanied by fried breast meat coated in thin noodles, creating an interesting texture. The dish also includes a side of egg yolk sauce, making it a delightful dish. The fourth dish offers a different way to enjoy the bamboo shoot and white liver from the first and second dishes. The combination creates a harmonious flavor in your mouth. The breast meat marinated in kelp has a simple taste. Along with the rolled chicken, it brings a sense of "Japanese" to the plate. The Achilles tendon sashimi has a great elasticity that is irresistible. The wagyu skirt steak, although not related to chicken, is incredibly delicious. The combination of wagyu skirt steak and sea urchin is superb. The chawanmushi is a stylish dish to savor with a flavorful soup on top. Personally, I loved the taste of it. The simmered anago retains its deliciousness, and the dumplings are full of flavor. I apologize for forgetting to take a photo of the chicken neck skewer. The chicken thigh meat comes in two variations, one with salt and one without, allowing you to enjoy two flavors in one skewer. The gizzard and heart skewers are exceptional, surpassing the quality of typical yakitori restaurants. The shiitake mushrooms are infused with the umami flavor of mushrooms. The meal also includes a hand-rolled egg yolk dish and a kumquat pudding for dessert. In conclusion, if you ever feel like trying a yakitori restaurant that is a step above the rest, I highly recommend this place!

Popular yakitori restaurant "Hete" has opened a new shop on the 2nd floor of the same building, offering a black Satsuma chicken course (including drinks for 7,000 yen). I went there right away and here's how you can make a reservation: 1. Follow "Hete" on Facebook and send a message. 2. You can also make a reservation at the "Hete" store on the lower floor. The reservation times are from 17:30 to 19:00 for the first half (ending around 20:30) and from around 21:00 for the second half. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere with only a counter seating for 10 people. Now, let me introduce the course menu for the day: Black Satsuma chicken and yam noodles, White liver potage with morning-pulled breast wrapped in kadaif, Low-temperature cooking of chicken and white liver, Kombu-marinated black Satsuma chicken and rolled chicken, Black Satsuma chicken Achilles tendon tataki, Japanese beef skirt steak with sea urchin, Chawanmushi, Simmered anago, Skewers (thigh, neck, heart, neck, shiitake with stone attached), Liver stew, Hand-rolled egg yolk, Kin kan pudding. You can enjoy a variety of dishes in small portions, and the all-you-can-drink option might be a good deal! If you love chicken, I highly recommend checking out this place. I'll definitely be making another reservation soon to enjoy the course again! Address: 2nd floor, Sanseine Daimyo, 1-10-6 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. Open from 17:30 to 19:00 for the first half (with flexible timing) and from around 21:00 for the second half. Closed on irregular days.
