Delicious izakaya dishes can be enjoyed at this restaurant. I visited after a long time, and the rich flavors of the dishes paired perfectly with the drinks. Every dish I ordered at Daikinsei was a hit. I wonder why izakaya dishes are so delicious. I always order a ginger sour, which I love. I had a great time once again. Thank you for the delicious meal! If you'd like, please check out my other posts! I also have an Instagram (@ranko_foodie). Thank you!

Doll Town is a flashy izakaya called Daikinsei in Amazake Yokocho. It stands out with its many lanterns and the catchy slogan "A budget izakaya that exceeds expectations." The first floor has counter seats, while the second floor has table seats. I was lucky to get a seat at the corner of the counter on this day. They serve Sapporo draft beer in small, medium, and large sizes, with the large costing 810 yen. The large beer they brought was huge. The otoshi (appetizer) was menma and tamago, an interesting combination. We also ordered "Firefly squid marinated in seawater," "Beef tripe stew," and "Horse meat salt sesame yukhoe," all reasonably priced. We also tried the recommended chicken tempura with soy sauce, spicy salt, and yuzu pepper flavors, each costing 160 yen, so it's best to order all three if you're unsure. Finally, we tried the specialty "Yatai-style Teppan Yakan Yakisoba (430 yen)," which is only available once an hour, so timing is crucial. It was a bit rich, but it tasted like the yakisoba you would find at a street stall. With reasonable prices and a casual atmosphere, it's a great place to grab a drink.

Located right next to Ningyocho Station, Daikinboshi is not a yakisoba specialty shop, but a popular izakaya. I love the old-fashioned atmosphere here. The yakisoba is cooked only once every hour, so if you don't order at the right time, you'll have to wait another hour. A plate of yakisoba costs 430 yen and has a taste similar to street food yakisoba. They also offer special toppings like fried egg, omelette, and green onion for 600 to 700 yen, which is quite reasonable. The place has a festive vibe, making it a fun spot to enjoy. Daikinboshi has other branches besides the one in Ningyocho, so it's worth checking out. On a Sunday in the middle of a long weekend, after visiting a couple of places in Ningyocho area, finally settled in a chain izakaya. The first floor has counter seats lined up, while the second floor has table seats where you can use electronic cigarettes. - Otoshi (appetizer) 350 yen x 2 - Bottled beer 759 yen - Oden (Japanese hot pot dish) small size 660 yen - Negima (chicken and green onion skewers) 231 yen x 2 - Seseri (chicken neck) skewers 231 yen x 2 - Fried chicken 176 yen x 2 - Yakisoba (fried noodles) 429 yen - Aragoshi Ringo-shu (apple sake) 627 yen - Pineapple sake 627 yen - Shochu (Asahi brand) 583 yen - Green tea highball 473 yen - Stamina yaki (grilled dish) half size 750 yen Their famous yakisoba, cooked once every hour, has a sweet sauce that leaves a lasting impression. Make sure to order 30 minutes in advance. The seseri skewers are delicious.

After a long time, I went to a great izakaya! The food was delicious, and the drinks were as good as always, living up to the reputation of being a budget-friendly izakaya. The dishes I ordered this time were kimchi and salmon (forgot the official name), salt sesame yukhoe, yangnyeom chicken, fig raisin butter. I always order the fig raisin butter, it's a must-have! I was torn between the usual fried chicken and yangnyeom chicken, but this time I went with the yangnyeom chicken, so it turned into a more Korean cuisine-heavy meal (lol). With so many delicious dishes, it's a great place for the first stop, and since they're open until 2 AM, it's also recommended for a second stop! Thank you for the meal! If you'd like, please check out my other posts! I also have an Instagram account (@ranko_foodie). Thank you!

Originally, I visited this izakaya in Monzen-Nakacho for the first time. Since then, I have visited their Ikebukuro branch, as well as their Ningyocho branch for business. I knew that this izakaya had high-quality food, but I didn't realize just how good it was until now. Their signature dish, Yonaki Yakisoba, was a first for me on this visit. You can only order it at certain times, which adds to the excitement. The noodles were chewy and had a strong texture, and the sauce coated them perfectly. The toppings in the photo were just so addictive. This izakaya not only has a high overall quality, but their yakisoba is also top-notch. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited the izakaya "Daikinsei" in Ningyocho. It has a casual atmosphere and all the menu items are quite cheap, making it an affordable place to eat and drink. Overall, I was very satisfied with this cost-effective and reasonable restaurant. [Dishes we ordered] ●Otoshi (appetizer) 330 yen/person ●Highball with fresh lemon (regular) 517 yen ●Highball with ginger (regular) 517 yen ●Draft beer

Tonight's dinner was at Daikinsei in Ningyocho's Amazake Yokocho. The restaurant has counter seating on the first floor (non-smoking) and table seating on the second floor (e-cigarettes only). The beer is served ice-cold, almost frozen! The mega-sized drinks here are even larger than what you see at other places. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, making it a great example of a classic izakaya.

Tuna rice bowl, grilled thick tofu, yakisoba with fried egg on top. The tuna rice bowl contains tuna, natto, pickled radish, seaweed, and dried young sardines topped with a raw egg, making it a healthy and satisfying dish that helps alleviate the guilt of drinking alcohol. It is delicious and offers a variety of textures to enjoy. The grilled thick tofu is irresistible when drizzled with soy sauce, perfect for pairing with alcohol. The yakisoba portion is generous and tasty, although the cost of additional toppings can be a concern. The sake menu surprisingly offers a wide selection of Japanese sake. This chain restaurant can be found scattered around the Joto area, making it a convenient choice.

The world is on the verge of entering KJS, and I wandered around the Dolltown area just after KJS, drawn to the words "a public bar worth more than the price." I sat at the counter and ordered a large bottle of Akahoshi for 649 yen, which is a pass at this price for a large bottle. The menu seemed to push motsu-yaki, with prices like 176 yen for intestines and 220 yen for other parts! I had underestimated the price of bottled beer, but what is this high-end store? Avoiding luxury items, I ordered Firefly Squid Marinated in Oil for 429 yen and Thick-cut Ham Cutlet for 308 yen. The appetizer for 330 yen was thick menma and a flavored egg, both of which seemed like ready-made products that could be sold for about 100 yen if placed on top of ramen. Do they also serve ramen for lunch? The marinated squid came with plenty of grated daikon, as written on the menu. It was indeed full of grated daikon, but the marinated squid itself was mediocre, with a slight garlicky aroma. The ham cutlet came with cabbage, as written on the menu. The ham cutlet was indeed served with cabbage, but it wasn't in a significant amount to be highlighted. When eaten with sauce and mustard, the fried oil seemed tired, giving off a strange smell. The ham itself was salty, so when sauce was added, it became too salty. Eating the remaining ham cutlet with only mustard revealed a prominent bitterness in the mustard. Rather than being worth the price, it seemed like an abnormal price.

On April 17th, I visited a cozy restaurant in preparation for my trip to Ibaraki. The atmosphere was charming, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered a Hoppy set, two medium drinks, mekabu natto, and three types of karaage. The yakisoba was recommended to me, so I decided to get it as a takeout. The first glass of Hoppy was ice-cold, which was a nice touch. The mekabu natto was delicious and healthy. The karaage came in three flavors, and the yuzu kosho flavor was particularly sharp and went well with alcohol. The complimentary appetizer included tasty menma and half a seasoned egg. Overall, it was a great experience at this casual and convenient restaurant in Amazake Yokocho.

I went to a casual dinner at this restaurant and started with a beer cheers! I ordered: - Sashimi platter with tuna, octopus, salmon, and sea bream. - Salad with spring greens and bacon with a soy-based dressing. - Marinated firefly squid with grated radish. - Assorted grilled offal with salt. - Fried chicken (you can order one piece at a time) with yuzu pepper and garlic soy sauce flavors. - Chanko hot pot with leeks, Chinese cabbage, spring greens, and tofu, with chicken meatballs. It was fluffy and delicious! I sat at the counter and felt a cold draft coming from the back door, making my lower body cold. It's winter, so it can't be helped. Next time, I want to try the yakisoba that they only make once every hour!

I had some time to spare before heading to the next restaurant, so I wandered around Ningyocho area. I couldn't decide where to go, but then I stumbled upon this place. I love casual izakayas, so I was excited to check it out. They offered affordable local sake and delicious frozen horse sashimi. It was cheap and tasty.

Near Ningyocho Station, there is a tavern called Daikinsei in Amazake Yokocho. This is my second time using Daikinsei, after previously visiting the main store in Monzen-Nakacho. I had been drinking around Ueno and ended up in Ningyocho feeling quite cheerful. When I saw the sign for "yakisoba" in front of this restaurant, I remembered that they only make yakisoba once every hour. Unfortunately, I arrived at an inconvenient time and had to wait for over an hour to have the yakisoba. Despite this, I decided to stay and have another drink. I saw that they had Sapporo Lager "Akahoshi" bottled beer, but I didn't have the confidence to finish it, so I opted for a small glass of draft beer instead. I also ordered a dish called "Niratama" as a snack. Although I was already quite full, I thought the combination of fiber-rich chives and easy-to-eat eggs would be fine. The appetizers were tasty, including seasoned eggs and Chinese-style chikuwa. I couldn't finish everything, so I switched to highball. When the Niratama arrived, it was surprisingly large for one serving. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, with a sugar content similar to sweet egg omelet. I tried adding shichimi spice to balance the sweetness, but it still felt too sweet for a drinking snack. I couldn't finish it all and ended up leaving about a quarter uneaten. In the end, I couldn't eat the yakisoba I came for and left feeling a bit overwhelmed by the amount of alcohol consumed. I regretted not just going straight home without ordering more drinks.

It's a chain restaurant with multiple locations, but it's just as popular as the nearby Chikuzen-ya. Since they opened a branch in the Muromachi Terrace, this location has become a bit far for me. I visited after a long time and the customer service was still excellent. I ordered an eggplant dish, but a different eggplant dish was served. I decided to eat it anyway, and then the staff realized the mistake and brought the correct eggplant dish. I didn't say anything or make any gestures. It turned into an impromptu eggplant party! The menu here ranges from traditional to junk food, and I always leave satisfied when I come here. Today, I really enjoyed the corned beef dish. And the fact that they offer cheap large bottles of beer is the best!

I stopped by the second restaurant after visiting Sasanou-san. It looked inviting and seemed like they had yakisoba as their specialty, which I wanted to try as a final dish. The first floor had a central counter and it seemed like there was also a second floor! As it was the second stop, I ordered a lemon sour, ham cutlet, and fried pork among other things. Before I knew it, they asked if I wanted some yakisoba, and I decided to go for it. They took the orders and cooked all at once, and I asked for mine with a fried egg on top. The yakisoba had slightly thick and chewy noodles, which were quite delicious, and the sauce was good too. When I was full, I paid the bill. The menu was extensive and the food was quite good, so I'll try visiting the first restaurant next time. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I decided to try a different bento from last time and purchased the Chicken Nanban Tartar Sauce Bento (750 yen). When I returned to the office and tried it, the amount of chicken was sufficient and the seasoning was not bad. However, I felt that the price of 750 yen was a bit high considering there was no special effort put into making it particularly delicious. Perhaps the cost is higher due to the nice container? I remember thinking that the yakisoba I had before was good value for money, so I hope they continue to improve. Good luck!

In times like these, it's great that most shops offer takeout options. On my way back from the hospital, I passed by a yakisoba shop in Amazake Yokocho. I noticed they had yakisoba with a fried egg on top for 650 yen. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey for just one egg, but to my surprise, it came with two eggs! Underneath the eggs, there was a generous amount of meat and noodles. The flavor and texture of the noodles were good too. I left feeling satisfied and full. I've never actually been inside the shop, but getting takeout allowed me to discover what they offer. They have a variety of options, so I definitely want to go back. Hang in there, everyone, and keep pushing through!

I used it for the second time. I had eaten a lot of rice, so I just had some snacks. I had ham cutlet and chikuwa tempura. The ones with cheese were good. I think there was potato cheese and corned beef. Those were also delicious. The yakisoba is said to be famous, but it wasn't that impressive... Well, it's okay! Overall, it was reasonably priced and satisfying!

I was planning to go eat teppanyaki or okonomiyaki, but the restaurant I had in mind was closed, so I visited this place instead. It turned out to be a great choice. I ordered a glass of Hoppy Black. The appetizer was spring rolls, which were surprisingly delicious with minced meat hidden underneath. I also had thick ham cutlet, simmered beef tendon, the recommended potato salad from the restaurant, and the limited-time yakisoba. The ham cutlet was about 1cm thick and looked very photogenic. It was served with a thick sauce and had a satisfying texture. The simmered beef tendon was sweet and savory, perfect with Hoppy. The potato salad had bacon on top, which was a nice touch, although I wish the bacon was crispier. The potatoes were just average. Next, I tried the yakisoba with omelette. It was wrapped in a thick omelette with mayonnaise on top, and it was delicious. The yakisoba is cooked every hour, taking orders from customers each time, which is efficient for the restaurant. It seemed to be a popular menu item with various toppings like fried egg, omelette, and beef tendon. Although it was named after Sapporo, the restaurant mainly served Sapporo Red Star beer. I enjoyed the yakisoba with my third glass of Hoppy. They also had dishes like leek and egg hot pot and sashimi, which were cheap and tasty. I will definitely visit again soon. It's a great deal to enjoy Hoppy with a friend and spend less than 5,000 yen. Thank you for the meal. I forgot to take a picture of the omusoba.
