Sake and Yakiniku Yoshioka Taichi (JR Tachikawa Station, 4-5 minutes on foot) I wonder if lunch can lead to dinner 2021/12 (Sat) Fine weather Lunch with my husband after music practice 12:30 (store opens at 11:30) No waiting line upon entry 1 group upon entry, about 3 groups after entry <Order Items> (including tax) "Yakiniku Set Meal" 1,480 yen "Beef Tongue Set Meal" 1,600 yen "Draft Beer" happy hour 390 yen <My Impression> Taste: ★★★☆☆ Atmosphere: ★★★★☆ Service: ★★★☆☆ Cleanliness: ★★★★☆ <Customer Profile on the Day> Male-female duo, male group, female duo <Comments> Lunch after music practice. It's necessary to explore new places rather than going to the same place every time! So, this time we visited "Yoshioka Taichi". It can be seen by turning one more corner from the alley where our favorite "Wakayama" is located. There are also three tables outside. When you pass through the straw curtain, there is a round counter in the center and table seats along the wall. A popular restaurant where we were able to enter with the condition of being within 2 hours. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. Although it's yakiniku for lunch, this time we chose from the lunch menu. The staff wore plastic mouth shields instead of masks. The first staff member removed it later. A glass of cold water was served along with a towel, and it was thin and nice. Soon after, draft beer was served. The size is perfect for lunch. I wonder if "Happy Hour" is only during lunchtime? I don't know until what time it is, but it's nice to have a reasonable price setting for a little drink during the day (*´∇`*) It feels very cost-effective! I chose the "Beef Tongue Set Meal", and my husband chose the "Yakiniku Set Meal". Although there are no photos on the menu, the "Beef Tongue Set Meal 1600 yen" during lunchtime. The "Black Wagyu Yakiniku Set Meal around 1600 yen" that I had a while ago at "456" consisted of kalbi and harami. The beef tongue this time is extremely thin. I found out later by looking at the restaurant's website that extremely thin beef tongue is also available as a single item menu. It doesn't feel like it's exclusively for lunch. Setting this as the second most expensive menu item during lunchtime is honestly quite bold. Since it's so thin, it cooks quickly. It was so thin that almost all of it tore off when I tried to pick it up from the plate > < The generous portion of negi shio dare served with it allows you to enjoy the taste of the negi more than the beef tongue. I wish they had written "Extremely Thin Beef Tongue Set Meal" on the menu. If they did, I definitely wouldn't have chosen it (laughs) It's not that it's bad because it's thin. It's just that it's so thin and small that you can't really savor the taste (´;ω;`)ウゥゥ The namul side dish was refreshing and delicious. I mixed it with rice at the end (*´∇`*) And the kimchi. It had finely chopped kombu in it, adding a nice umami flavor. The kimchi was the most delicious part of the "Beef Tongue Set Meal". The miso soup had plenty of vegetables in it. The large pieces of daikon and other vegetables added to the deliciousness both in terms of taste and texture. As for my husband's "Yakiniku Set Meal," it included the same extremely thin beef tongue, harami, and loin. He also received a piece of loin, which was tender. In his case as well, if it's extremely thin beef tongue, he would have preferred to have one less and receive an extra piece of harami instead (laughs) When I asked about the taste, he said, "Everything except the beef tongue was normal." By the time we finished eating, there were also group customers who had made reservations. I think the individual meat dishes are delicious (*´∇`*) Although this is just my impression based on having lunch, unfortunately, it seems that it doesn't lead to dinner in the evening (´д`ι) I later realized that both the earlier visited "456" and this "Yoshioka Taichi" are part of the "MOTHERS" group of restaurants. So that's why the atmosphere is nice (*´∇`*) However, it seems that the Tachikawa MOTHERS group is not a good fit for our family...
