After visiting a sushi restaurant, I felt like having a few more drinks so I headed to a second place. This bar is connected to Rockfish in Ginza, and I was excited to try their Rockfish-style highball. The highball at Rockfish is unique because it doesn't have ice. When I visited a street bar in Japan for the first time in the morning, I ordered thick-cut bacon and was pleasantly surprised by the dish that came out - it was like something you'd expect at an Italian restaurant, with figs and delicious flavors. Lately, I've been mostly drinking highballs, but they also have Yamazaki whisky ranging from non-age statement to 12 years, at reasonable prices. I definitely want to come back to this place! Starting from October, they will also be serving oden, which I'm looking forward to trying. If you're interested in drinking at a street bar, I recommend giving them a call and stopping by. (Please excuse the lack of photos of the food) 🧍♂️

This was also my first visit in a while. The second-generation owner continues to run a rare "yatai bar" in Hakata that serves unique cocktails and Western liquor. They have a wide variety of cocktails and the food menu is also extensive. I visited for a second round after visiting Kajishika. The appetizer was edamame and corn. I ordered a cocktail with fruit in it from the menu. It was a tall glass so there was plenty of it. The cocktails looked colorful and stylish, perfect for women. This place has also been upgraded!!!!

This is a famous street bar where you can enjoy cocktails, despite being a street stall. I used to visit here often about 30 years ago when it was located next to Reisen Park. Back then, the master's parents were running the shop, and I had fun and lively conversations with both of them. After I moved to Yokohama for work, I heard that the aunt and then the uncle passed away one after the other. However, they relocated to Tenjin, and now their son and his wife are doing their best to run the business. In the old days, you couldn't start without having a Salty Dog and oden at the street stall. So, let's start with the nostalgic Salty Dog. The glass has become taller now. Oh, but the coaster is still the same! This coaster was drawn by the manga artist Tochi Ueyama in memory of the deceased uncle. I raised a toast to remember him. Also, they no longer serve the old famous oden because it's too hot now. Drinking Fukuoka's sake with the benefactors of life was the best. They used to look at me strangely when I took photos, but now they don't say anything. They probably know that I'm posting about them here (laughs).

I finally visited the holy land of Cooking Papa (27), the long-awaited food stall bar Ebichan. I tried three different fruit cocktails, and each one was amazing in terms of taste and presentation. The cocktails were efficiently prepared in the small space of the food stall. I definitely want to visit again when I come to Hakata.

I have been to Fukuoka almost 10 times since I was young, but surprisingly, I have never been to a food stall before. I tried to visit a food stall that I had my eye on, but even on a weekday, there was a long line and I couldn't get in. Then, I decided to check out another stall, which turned out to be a bar called Ebichan, a famous and crowded stall in Hakata. I managed to find a single empty seat and the owner kindly welcomed me to sit down. The atmosphere was lively, with bottles of alcohol hanging from the ceiling. The menu was extensive, so I decided to hop between different stalls for drinks. Ebichan served delicious cocktails and substantial dishes, making it a great place to enjoy both drinks and food. I was surprised by a unique cocktail called Blue Hawaii, which had an unexpected combination of daikon radish, onion, and beef tendon, creating a twist on the traditional oden dish. The beef tendon was tender and flavorful, complementing the light broth of the oden. The master of the stall was humorous and the customers were friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Ebichan was a cozy and unpretentious food stall that focused on serving quality cocktails and dishes.

When it comes to food stalls in Hakata, there's "Ebi-chan." I left a ramen shop in Kawabata Shopping Street and stopped by here for a drink to cleanse my palate. I used to visit this place a lot when the previous owner was running it, back when I was around Ohori Park. Now it's run by the son and his wife, located in front of the Bank of Japan. They always had a wide variety of fruit cocktails. Today, I had a strawberry cocktail and a gimlet...they shake it with cut lime, it was very delicious. I enjoyed the drink in the cozy atmosphere of the food stall and I plan to visit again. A popular food stall in Hakata where you can enjoy cocktails made with the recommended fruits of the day! This stall bar is run by the second generation owners, Mr. Tsuyoshi Ebina and Mrs. Akiko Ebina. It is a long-established store with a history of 36 years since its founding in 1986 by Mr. Akio Ebina. The location of the store is about 140 meters east of Fukuoka Chuo Post Office on Showa Street. The nearest station is a 6-minute walk from Tenjin Station. The opening hours are Monday to Thursday, Sunday 7pm-12am (last order 11:30pm), Friday, Saturday 7pm-1am (last order 12:30am), closed on bad weather days, irregular holidays. There are 13 seats at the counter only. Reservations are not accepted, but it seems possible to contact the store and hold a seat a little before arriving. The ordered menu is Kiwi cocktail. There are a variety of cocktails available, and most customers come to the store to drink cocktails, making it a favorite spot for regulars. The atmosphere inside the dimly lit store allows you to enjoy delicious fruit cocktails. The daily snack that came out was crispy and surprisingly delicious. In short, it is different from the typical Hakata food stalls, but recommended for those who want to visit different stalls and enjoy delicious cocktails and drinks! [Order] ◇ Daily snack 400 yen - Black beans, potato chips ◇ Kiwi cocktail 1,300 yen

It's been about 10 years since my last visit. The place has changed. Unfortunately, the person I was looking for was no longer there. I was surprised to find three types of whiskey that I was looking for in this size of establishment. Most importantly, the taste was deliciously rich. I will definitely visit again.

Returning to my base in Hakata, I decided to visit a yatai (food stall) after missing out the day before. I didn't have a specific yatai in mind, so I chose one based on how easy it was to enter. It was relatively empty when I entered, but later it filled up with female customers. It was my first time experiencing a winter yatai in Hakata, and the atmosphere, despite the light rain, was cozy and inviting. The yatai was well-designed and functional, with a touch of elegance. For my first drink, I had a gin-based cocktail made with sweet kinkan (kumquat), which was a perfect match. My second drink was a hot cocktail with a bit more intensity, and I requested a cinnamon stick for added aroma. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience at the Ebichan Yatai Bar on a winter night with light rain.

The food was delicious, and I was especially impressed by the cocktails. The banana cocktail was unforgettable and perfect for banana lovers. I was so drunk that I can't remember what liqueur was used, which is a shame. The carbonation added a nice touch to the drink, making it incredibly tasty. I was truly impressed and it seems like I might become a cocktail enthusiast after this.

I chose to visit this food stall bar Ebichan in Hakata because I wanted to experience the food stalls while I was there. When I arrived around 9 pm, there was a spot available right away since some customers had just left. I decided to try the muscat cocktail from the fruit menu. It was a frozen cocktail with a crunchy texture and two muscat grapes floating inside. For my second drink, I chose orange, which was delicious with plenty of fruit pulp. I also received two chocolates with my drinks. There are about 10 types of fruits available, as well as whiskey and shochu, making it possible to enjoy a genuine bar experience at a food stall. There were many foreign customers as well, and when I passed by the next evening, there was a line forming, showing how popular it is. Thank you for the delicious meal ☺︎

One of the places I absolutely wanted to visit in Hakata was Ebichan, a bar in Fukuoka. Despite several opportunities to visit Fukuoka, I had been unlucky with timing and had been rejected multiple times. However, this time I was able to get a seat after waiting for about 30 minutes. Lucky me! I was intrigued by the idea of being able to enjoy authentic cocktails at a street food stall, and let me tell you, it was amazing. First drink... I wanted to try the Gin Rickey with Underberg Float, and it was as delicious as I had imagined. Second drink... The seasonal fruit cocktail was fresh and delightful, with the fruit pulp adding a gentle kick to the palate. Third drink... The Mojito with a garnish of crunchy Shine Muscat grapes made me smile. It was refreshing with a sophisticated sweetness. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Visited in October 3022.

Visited a bar in a food stall on Showa Street in Tenjin before 8 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2022. I learned about this place from the bartender at a bar in Daimyo that I visited the day before. It must be quite challenging to manage a bar in a food stall, with a large number of bottles and daily setup. Started with a Laphroaig on the rocks. The complimentary snacks were boiled peanuts and corn. Despite feeling a bit out of place, the warm atmosphere was welcoming. Everyone was sitting alone, but there was a sense of relaxation. Perhaps that's the charm of a food stall bar. Next, I had Jameson on the rocks and left feeling satisfied.

After enjoying a delicious "torikawa" meal, I headed to Tenjin and visited a bar called "Ebi-chan" that I hadn't been to in years. My first visit was when the previous owner was there, and the last time I went, both the previous and current owners were present. The bar was located in a different place back then. Now, it's an outdoor stall near the Bank of Japan, bustling with customers. I sat at the stall, feeling excited, and looked around at the various food and dishes neatly arranged. To place an order, I scanned the QR code on the table, which was a surprisingly advanced system for an outdoor stall. I was amazed at the wide variety of drinks available at a bar. I ordered a Jameson (with soda, 550 yen) and Camembert cheese with marmalade (880 yen) – a sweet treat that paired perfectly with the highball. It was delicious. I also paid a charge of 400 yen. After eating too much at the yakitori restaurant, I had to resist the temptation of other sweet treats. It was a nostalgic and heartwarming experience to visit the bar after so long.

I finally moved and was able to come here. I used to come to Hakata around the time of the Yamakasa festival, but Ebi-chan's stall was always closed during that time, so I never had the chance to visit. Now that I have moved to the side of the Bank of Japan, I was finally able to come. The cocktails with plenty of fruits, which I love, are delicious. It brings back nostalgic memories.

This place offers a menu that is so diverse, it's hard to believe it's just a food stall. They will make anything you request. On a pleasant summer night, I visited wanting to drink a refreshing watermelon cocktail. For my second drink, I had a mojito. My friend had a non-alcoholic pear cocktail.

The second food stall in Hakata was a unique one, as it was quite crowded around 10:30 pm when I visited. They told me I would have to wait for a while, so I decided to wait at a nearby convenience store. However, on my way there, they called me back saying some customers were leaving, so I was able to get a seat without much waiting. I learned about this place from "Ueyama Tochi" in "Cooking Papa," where they also had encouraging signs displayed, showing a close relationship. I felt a deep connection to this restaurant. Since I had already eaten a lot at the first place, I felt bad and decided to just order cocktails at this place without any food. The menu could be viewed by scanning a QR code with your smartphone, and you could also request a specific cocktail even if it wasn't on the menu. I chose a cocktail from the "Seasonal Fruits" menu and requested a "Refreshing Watermelon Cocktail." The bartender made it according to my request, and it was a bright pink color with salt and black grains on the rim of the glass. It had a slice of watermelon on top. I also tried a "Frozen Pear Cocktail" and a "Refreshing Kiwi Cocktail," both of which were delicious and perfect for a hot night. The cocktails were light and refreshing, and I enjoyed them with some boiled peanuts and potato chips provided as snacks. The current owners of the bar are a friendly couple who create a relaxed atmosphere, making it a great place for beginners to enjoy drinks without feeling intimidated.

I had a cocktail called "Mugen" at this place. It's an original cocktail with brandy as the base, and it's quite strong. Such a cool name! I wanted another one, but the place was crowded and I had to catch the train. I'll definitely come back again!

I learned about the depth of the culture of food stalls. I visited some bars based on recommendations from bartenders at each place, and I found out about a place where I absolutely had to go. It was amazing to see such a place exists... The drinks are delicious and all the food looks great (I even peeked at what the person next to me was eating), that's the charm of food stalls. The atmosphere was also great, and I had a wonderful night. A must-visit restaurant, a famous spot in Fukuoka. Each cocktail has a touch of originality. I tried the Nicola Sica → Mojito course, and the breeze in Nakasu on the way back was refreshing.

I visited this cocktail bar after having a meal in Fukuoka during my trip to GW. It was full, but I only had to wait a little bit before getting a seat. The menu can be viewed on your smartphone by scanning a URL. I ordered a cocktail based on my preference and left it to the bartender. Two types of snacks were served as appetizers. I also tried the beef tendon stew curry with a side of baguette. I also ordered wine-based cocktails and some oden dishes like konjac and thick fried tofu. The bald bartender was very friendly and entertaining. Thank you for the delicious meal.
