The restaurant had a unique pasta menu and delicious-looking sandwich photos that caught my attention, but since all seats were smoking allowed, I thought it was not for me. One day, I saw a poster at the entrance announcing half-price pasta. During the half-price period, there was a good deal on pasta and drinks, so it seemed like a decent offer, and I wanted to try it. Nowadays, most places are non-smoking, so I was curious about what it was like in a smoking allowed establishment. When I entered the restaurant, I was momentarily taken aback by the strong smell of cigarettes, but it was expected as it was a smoker's paradise where non-smokers were guests. The air conditioning seemed to be working well, or perhaps there were many heat-not-burn tobacco users, as there was no smoke in the air. I ordered an Iced Cafe au Lait (R 380) and a rich Porcini Cream pasta (half-price 330 yen). They gave me a buzzer to notify me when the order was ready. It had been a while since I had a Cafe au Lait instead of a Cafe Latte when dining out. I often make it at home. When I added a piece of gum syrup, it became quite sweet, almost like a taste for kids. After about 5 minutes, the buzzer went off, and I went to the counter to pick up my order. The staff handed me the pasta with a smile, along with some powdered cheese and Tabasco sauce. Despite the restaurant being quite spacious, the single staff member managed to provide calm and friendly service, which was very pleasant. The Porcini Cream pasta was served with Fettuccine. It had a taste that seemed familiar, like frozen food, and some parts were burnt (?) and clumped together. However, it was nicely presented on a large plate, so the overall atmosphere was not bad. The option to add powdered cheese and Tabasco sauce, which I don't usually have at home, was a nice touch for flavor variation. The pricing seemed to include the cost of providing a smoking area, but I think it's a great place for smokers to relax.
