I found this cute bakery in Hakata while searching for a morning spot! I was so excited to go but heard they often sell out quickly. So I made sure to go right when they opened. The bakery is located along the approach to the shrine, so it's a one-way street. I passed through the torii gate of Kushida Shrine and parked at the coin parking lot next to the bakery. There was no wait as I arrived right after they opened on a weekday. The bakery is small and can only accommodate one group at a time. You choose your bread by looking at the sample bread on the walls or the menu. They only accept cash, and you can purchase a paper bag for 40 yen. I had a hard time choosing because all the bread looked so good. I ended up getting "Chokopan", "Oisa", "Ojisan", "Daruma", "Niwakamentai", "Mayokon", "Fukuwarai", and "Oni". They may look small, but they are packed with flavors! The soft French bread with crispy edges was a nice touch. The prices were reasonable, and it was not just a cute bakery but also a delicious one. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a cute shop that sells shocking bread. When I went in the afternoon, most of the bread was already sold out, so I grabbed the remaining ones and went home. It was almost a big hit. There are many one-way streets in the area, so please be careful if you are driving. It is best to go in the morning.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Gion Station on the Fukuoka Subway, this bakery opens at 7 am on weekdays and stays open until sold out. I heard that sometimes they sell out as early as 9 am based on posts I've seen on Instagram. I visited around 8 am this time, and fortunately, they still had all the varieties available. I purchased the "Choco Pan" and "Mayo Corn." The Choco Pan has almond chocolate inside, and both were carefully and cutely made. They were individually wrapped and stored, not served fresh. The Choco Pan tasted like a pastry with a crunchy chocolate filling, while the Mayo Corn had a subtle mayonnaise corn flavor. The prices were affordable, but the portions were on the smaller side.

Whenever I go, it's always cute. On a weekday before 10:10 AM, there were only 3 left - bought a melon pan. More details are introduced in a Yahoo article. If you're interested, you can refer to it by searching and copying the link.

Get off at the bus stop in Gion. Pass through the white torii gate, and you'll see a small sign to the right. Upon entering the shop, you'll find bread displayed in front, and when you tell the staff, they will take out the bread from a box under the counter. I couldn't resist and ended up buying two "Niwakamentai" breads. Inside, there is mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and cream cheese, which is a fantastic combination. When I tried the "Ojisan" bread, sweet walnuts spilled out from inside. And from the "Daruma" bread, there was sweet potato. They are all so cute and soothing that it almost feels like a waste to eat them. The "Niwakamentai" bread was so delicious that I ended up devouring both of them in no time.

I was looking for a breakfast bread shop in Fukuoka and found a super cute one with Senbei mask-shaped bread. It's located about a 12-13 minute walk from Hakata Station, or closer if you take the train to Gion Station. They start selling at 7 am and close when sold out, but when I arrived around 9:20 am on a weekday, there were only about 20-25 pieces left. I'm not sure if they started with a small quantity or if they were just really popular and almost sold out. The menu had many delicious items, and I was looking forward to trying them, so I was a bit disappointed. Amongst the ones I bought, I had a long bread with chocolate cream and a round one with mentaiko cream. Both were fluffy and the fillings were delicious. It wasn't just cute, but also really good. My family was also very satisfied with the cuteness and taste. Next time, I'll wake up early to buy a variety of items.

Hello everyone, what's up? It's MoriP, who loves to eat his way through Fukuoka! Today, I visited "Panyanopettan" and tried their Chocolate Almond Bread with chocolate inside. The nuts added a nice touch. The sweetness and slightly firm texture of the chocolate were just right. I also tried their Mentaiko Cream Cheese Bread, which has a bit of a unique taste and may be a hit or miss for some, but I personally really liked it.

The shop was smaller than I imagined, but it was a cozy bakery where you can request the bread you want and they will bring it out for you, so it's reassuring in terms of hygiene! They have cute and delicious bread with various flavors, making it a fun experience. All the bread was soft and tasty! ♫

I saw a cute bread on Instagram. As someone who loves animal and face motifs, I was really drawn to it. The shop opens from 7:00 in the morning, so I woke up early and went there! I visited on New Year's Eve. I arrived at 7:38. The shop is small, and at first glance, you wouldn't realize it's a bakery. The bread is displayed at a counter where you tell them what you want, and they take out the bread from below. I couldn't decide and ended up buying 5 instead of 3. There were breads like an old man, a laughing Buddha, and some kind of yokai, the naming sense is really good (laughs). The laughing Buddha has limbs, is holding mentaiko, and seems like something is about to come out of its mouth, it's really funny. Despite the elaborate designs, the price is reasonable at 150-200 yen each. I mostly bought sweet bread, but there were also some savory bread options. There was a nice lady at the counter, and I chatted with her a bit. The atmosphere was great, and I really like this kind of quirky style, so I want to go back again!

Fukuoka specialty, the "Mask of a Newcomer". A shop with breads that look like they are wearing masks and cute breads lined up. The shop has a very cute atmosphere. Report on the last bread tour during the Kumamoto internship. On 11/13 (Sun) and 14 (Mon), I visited bakeries in Hakata and Fukuoka City. Here are the shops I visited in order. Shop visited 6: "Panya no Pettan" On this day, I made use of the Fukuoka City Subway all-you-can-ride ticket. It's a 2-minute walk from Gion Station. Outside the shop, there are photos of their cute character breads displayed. Inside the shop, the shelves are lined with character breads. They also have masks for sale. Among the various characters, some are wearing these masks. The introduction of the breads in Hakata dialect adds a nice touch. This time, I bought the "Ojisan," "Niwaka Mentai," and "Daruma" breads. Everyone is wearing the masks (^o^) On 12/2 (Fri) at lunchtime, I tried the purchased items. The "Ojisan" bread has a crunchy texture with plenty of sugar and walnuts, making it sweet and delicious. The texture is enjoyable and quite addictive. The "Niwaka Mentai" bread has a filling of mentaiko and cream cheese, creating a delicious and mellow taste. The bread is soft and fluffy, making it a delight to eat. The "Daruma" bread looks just like the "Ojisan" at first glance, but the belly is filled with sweet sweet potato paste. It's like a sweet potato pie. Unfortunately, the lines that were supposed to be on the body like a daruma doll seemed to have melted when I took it out of the freezer and thawed it... There's plenty of sweet paste inside. I would love to try a different character bread next time, although it's hard to visit on weekends due to their closure. (Photo 10th) Illustration of purchased items.

This is a bakery in Gion, Hakata. I went to buy some bread since it was near my hotel. It was around 8 am on a weekday and there were already customers inside. There was a woman in an office lady outfit. The next customer seemed like they were on their way to work. I had checked out the reviews on Tabelog before going, but when I entered the store, I was surprised by the unique faces of the bread displayed. There was "Choko Pan," "Niwakame-ntai," and "Yokai." Choko Pan had a timid gentleman face, Niwakame-ntai looked like a hero from "Kick-Ass," and Yokai had a classic yokai face (it's a red bean paste bread). Despite their strong visual presence, the bread itself was delicious and comforting. I thought it would be fun to gather them all for a group photo. Thank you for the meal.

I found this place on social media and was interested in it. I arrived around 8 pm on a weekday and there was no wait, but the chocopan was already sold out. The bread, inspired by nori senbei, was both cute and delicious in its simplicity. There was something addictive about the taste of this simple bread. It seems like you can also call ahead to reserve items! I tried the nori mentai for ¥200 and the daruma for ¥200. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I finally got to visit a cute bakery that sells out by 7 PM on weekdays. They also offer phone reservations for the same day. The bakery has a simple, rustic charm with many Japanese-style ingredients, making it different from trendy bakeries. It's a nice place to pick up souvenirs too! ☺️

I visited the bakery right after it opened on a weekday. It's so early, opening at 7 am! By the way, there are not many places around Hakata Station that offer morning service. Chain stores like McDonald's, Seattle's Best Coffee, Kamishima Coffee, and Komeda Coffee open early, but individual shops usually open at 8 am at the earliest. It's a bit sad that I can't have breakfast before work. Now, about this bakery. They post the current stock status on their Instagram story, and even though they open at 7 am, some items sell out by 7:30 am, which is surprising. They are really popular! There is a cute window-like display at the entrance where you can see the current stock of bread. Inside the shop, there is a small space with shelves of bread and a counter with menus. The names, fillings, and prices of the bread are clearly written on the menu. After much deliberation, I chose these four items! Taking advantage of no other customers being there, I spent about 5 minutes deciding, sorry for the delay.------------------------------------------【Niwakamentai 200 yen tax included】Contains mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and cream cheese. When I asked for a salty bread, they only had Niwakamentai and Mayokon, the rest were sweet bread. Let's try this rare savory bread! When I warmed it in the microwave for about 30 seconds at low power at home, the mentaiko and cream cheese inside became creamy and delicious.【Harinezumi 150 yen tax included】Melon bread. I visited for this particular bread! I'm happy to have gotten it! When warmed in the microwave for a little less than 30 seconds, the prickly parts become soft and the gentle sweetness is delightful.【Fukuwarai 150 yen tax included】A greedy bread with custard cream and chocolate cream. When I warmed it in the microwave for less than 30 seconds, it seemed like only the chocolate cream was inside, but the fluffy white bread with plenty of sweet chocolate cream was delicious.【Satousan 180 yen tax included】A sugar and butter-coated Satousan eating an anko-filled bread, a surreal bread indeed! Each one is small, but they were all delicious and rustic. They sell out quickly, so if you want to try different types, you need to wake up early. I want to go back again!

This is a bakery near Gion Station! I saw it on Instagram and decided to visit. I arrived around 12 o'clock, and many items were already sold out, so I recommend visiting in the morning. If they run out, they will post it on their Instagram story. #There is a yokai sesame-flavored red bean paste inside. The eyes and lower part of the yokai are made using Japanese confectionery kneaded dough! #There is a paste-like cream made from sweet potatoes. Each bread has a name and they are so cute that it's almost a waste to eat them! Thank you for the meal!

This small bakery is a hidden gem. The bread I bought this time was very reasonable, ranging from 130-200 yen. The walnut bread is the best, with a sweet taste. Each bread is filled with delicious ingredients. They are open at 7 am on weekdays, but by mid-morning, they are almost sold out. If you go at 10 am, you will still find a good selection available.

I saw this shop on Instagram and really wanted to visit. However, when I went there, they were sold out of everything except for the bread loaves. I had to leave empty-handed that day. I went back another day and this time they had some bread left. The owner helped me, but there was no "welcome" or any interaction, just silence. I felt pressured to make a quick decision, so I hurriedly chose four breads that caught my eye. "Niwakamentai" for ¥200 was a mix of spicy cod roe and cream cheese. My child found the spicy cod roe too hot, but I liked it. "Ojisan" for ¥200 had sugar-coated sweet walnuts inside. As a walnut lover, I enjoyed it, but my child did not. "Yokai" for ¥150 had sesame-flavored sweet bean paste with a traditional Japanese confectionery outer layer. It had a good taste, but my child did not like it. "Harinezumi" for ¥130 was a melon bread that my child surprisingly enjoyed. I bought these as snacks for my child, but because I couldn't read the menu properly, I ended up getting ingredients that my child didn't like. Despite the cute appearance, delicious taste, and affordable prices of the bread, the atmosphere created by the staff really ruined the overall experience. I was disappointed because I really wanted to try more of their bread, but the impression left by the staff made me hesitant. However, the love and care put into making the bread was evident, so I gave it a 2-star rating.

I found this place on SNS and thought "Oh, how cute!" It seems to be quite popular, so I stopped by before running errands. The shop is small, and they sell bread face-to-face. They sell out quickly, so it's first come, first served. When I entered, I was the only customer, but when I left, there were two people waiting outside. - So cute! I want to buy everything. - I usually make quick decisions, but everything was so cute that I ended up buying five items. - Ojisan (220 yen) - walnut red bean paste filling. - Daibutsu (130 yen) - plain. Maybe having nothing inside clears your mind? haha - Uma (150 yen) - raisin cream filling. The cream is delicious. - Ikayaki (110 yen) - the texture is like "kanpan" (^_^; It's also interesting how it's skewered. - Chocopan (200 yen) - filled with mildly sweet chocolate cream. It's a chocolate bread, so haha The bread dough is soft. Not only does it look good, but it also tastes delicious. I'll have to buy a different bread next time I'm in this area. ♫
