This is a takeout sushi restaurant located in the station building "Atre Oimachi," directly connected to JR Oimachi Station. The restaurant is located in the back of Atre Oimachi, right in front after exiting the ticket gate. As a relatively large branch of Chiyoda Sushi, the store has a wide variety of sushi items on display. The standard menu item is the Chio Ori Matsuba (1,079 yen) for one serving. For a more luxurious option, the Chio Ori Tsubaki (1,286 yen) includes fatty tuna. I tried the "Kaizukushi - Iso Hiwai" (863 yen) which includes 8 pieces of red clam, clam with seaweed, scallop, scallop, Ishigaki clam, tsubugai, and red shell clam. The pricing of around 100 yen per piece for the relatively high-priced shellfish makes it a good deal. Noteworthy is the use of raw scallop, which is usually cooked to turn red, but in its raw form, it has a blackish color. The raw version has a different richness compared to the cooked one. The red clam also has a good thickness. The inclusion of clam with seaweed is a nice touch. The scallop is a bit thin but still good considering the price. The Ishigaki clam and tsubugai are of similar quality to those found in conveyor belt sushi chains. The red shell clam is boiled and when wrapped in seaweed, it resembles abalone, which is quite tasty. Chiyoda Sushi offers a variety of individual pieces and rolls, making it a good choice for those looking for specific types of sushi. While I used to purchase the standard one-person serving, I would recommend trying the customizable sushi options as well.

I found delicious sushi at the Oimachi Station building! The plum, cucumber, and pickled radish roll is tasty. The tuna salad roll is also delicious. It's cheap, so it's economical. The taste is decent.

I didn't have any special plans, but I decided to take a peek inside. I ended up falling for the deli section on the first floor (laughs). It was a clever strategy by Atre. Although not a very large area, it was moderately busy. There is no trace of the quiet atmosphere that used to be in Oimachi. It is now the central station of Shinagawa Ward, with JR, Tokyu, and Tokyo Rinkai Rapid Transit lines all connecting there. I tried the "Tekkamaki" for 399 yen and the "Satomaki Kappa" for 210 yen at "Chiyoda Sushi". The total was 609 yen (including tax). It's just right to satisfy a small hunger...

I wonder if the concept of the "red string of fate" really exists... or maybe it's just about connections? If so, then unfortunately, there was no connection here! I had been wanting to try this place for a while now, and finally got the chance, but it was disappointing. Have you ever had a similar experience where you were looking forward to something but it didn't meet your expectations? I have had a few experiences like that in the past, and maybe my gut feeling was telling me to avoid it. I had the opportunity to try it multiple times, but for some reason, I kept ignoring it. And now, after waiting for so long, the service was disappointing. It was a letdown, especially since "Chiyoda Sushi" had high ratings. The taste wasn't great either, and I felt like I would have been better off buying discounted sushi at a supermarket. Even though it's a takeout-only sushi shop, I expected more effort. Each set of 4 pieces for 399 yen means each piece is about 100 yen. Compared to conveyor belt sushi, it seems a bit overpriced. So, I felt a bit unsatisfied. The assorted platters offer good value, but I wouldn't recommend ordering individual pieces. I thought this place would be a good option for casual dining, but I learned that it depends on the store and time of day.

At Atre Oimachi, there is a chain takeout sushi restaurant called Chiyoda Sushi that I really like. My favorite dish is the fatty tuna sushi, priced at 1,080 yen. I also enjoy the mackerel stick sushi which is cheap and delicious! The seared assorted sushi is also good. The inari sushi is only 210 yen and very affordable. I tried the shellfish assortment for the first time, which included scallops, surf clams, ark shells, geoduck clams, and another type of clam that I couldn't identify.

I went for a stroll in Oimachi looking for dinner. I decided to stop by Seijo Ishii to buy some alcohol and something else on my way back. When I entered the Atre in Oimachi, I noticed this store. I thought, "Okay, let's buy some sushi to take home." So, I purchased the Chiyoritakumi (1380 yen). It included fatty tuna, yellowtail, snow crab, sweet shrimp, horse mackerel, sea urchin, salmon roe, conger eel, and whelk. Surprisingly, it was delicious. This was a good choice. On the day of Setsubun, I passed by Chiyoda Sushi on my way home from work and they were selling Ehomaki, so I decided to buy one. There were various Ehomaki available at different prices, but I chose the relatively affordable one for 780 yen. I don't usually buy takeout sushi, but I decided to try it after a long time. When I got home and tried it, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. It had ingredients like salmon roe, crunchy bits, and fatty tuna, and I felt satisfied for the price. Compared to convenience store sushi, this was much tastier, so I would like to use their services again.

On a Sunday evening, I happened to stop by a takeout sushi shop called "Chiyoda Sushi" at Atre Oimachi. I decided to get some sushi to bring home for dinner. They had various sets of sushi lined up, and I chose the "Chiyoda Ori-Nishiki" (890 yen) and the "Tokiori-Yuushio" (690 yen) sets. For dinner, I had the "Chiyoda Ori-Nishiki" set, which included 10 pieces of nigiri and 2 types of rolls. The taste was quite good for the price, and I was satisfied with my choice. I would definitely consider getting takeout from there again when I'm in the mood for sushi.

After work, I always find it a hassle to eat out before heading home, and I don't feel like eating convenience store food either. So, I'm always grateful that I can stop by on my way home from the station! I mean, just because it's not sushi from a sushi restaurant doesn't mean you can underestimate it! I can't remember the name... but their assorted sushi platter has a good amount of sushi and the fish is not small. It's enough for dinner, and perfect for enjoying with a drink at night! Eating this platter always gives me the motivation to do my best again tomorrow! ✩

Chiyodazushi is located at the back of the first floor food corner adjacent to JR Oimachi Station. It is quite popular in the evening, with customers coming in constantly. Although Chiyodazushi has multiple locations throughout Tokyo, the quality here seems fresher and more vibrant compared to others. The prices are the same though. The Sabanobattera is rich and oily, with a large size that provides a satisfying meal. It's highly recommended. The assorted sushi sets come in different varieties based on price, and sometimes they offer special deals. Highly recommended.
