Established in 1964!! This yakiniku restaurant is known for its dedication to wagyu beef, specifically focusing on procuring the highest quality black wagyu beef by bidding on entire cows. This allows for a variety of rare cuts of meat to be available. I visited this restaurant with my son, who had worked part-time here for four years during university, as a way to show my gratitude. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including special thick-sliced salted tongue, fresh grilled liver, raw beef yukhoe, raw intestine, sukiyaki-style tenderloin, selected sirloin, aged lean meat, and more. The total bill came to approximately 43,150 yen, but when we went to pay, the owner insisted that it was on the house as a gesture of appreciation for my son's hard work and our visit together. The owner's generosity was truly heartwarming. The dishes my son had always wanted to try while working here were absolutely delicious. It's clear that a restaurant where the staff themselves want to eat is guaranteed to have amazing food and be a wonderful place. The staff were all kind and my son clearly felt loved and cared for at "Rikasen." I am filled with gratitude.

I arrived at 12 o'clock and was the third in line out of two groups waiting. At 12:15, I was guided to a reserved seat as I was waiting for my companion's arrival, which happened around 12:25. I ordered the hot noodles immediately, but had to wait for about 10 minutes. The noodles were piping hot, so I divided them into a bowl to eat. I finished eating by 1 o'clock. I arrived at work at 1:15, quietly sat at my desk and started working. My mouth has a slight burn from the hot noodles. The deliciousness of the hot noodles is addictive.

Today, I didn't celebrate my anniversary with my wife, so we decided to go to this restaurant during the day. It's a yakiniku place, but their all-you-can-eat menu is actually not available for walk-ins. You have to make a reservation online by 2 pm the day before or on the same day. They also specify the time, and today it was from 2 pm. We ordered a variety of meats, including lean meat with sauce and salt, kalbi with green onion salt, and salt and sauce. The all-you-can-eat price is 3,000 yen per person plus one drink. We ate quite a bit, but the meat was thinly sliced overall, so the "meat-eating" experience was a bit lacking. However, I think the quality of the meat is good, so I recommend trying it out by making a reservation online.

This is a long-established yakiniku restaurant representing Fukuoka, located near Akasaka Subway Station. On this day, we had a dinner party with about 20 industry colleagues. We rented a room on the second floor by the window for our meal. We started with a kimchi assortment for appetizers and a toast. The dishes, such as chijimi, were served in portions for four people each. The roast beef was topped with plenty of onions. We began with beautifully grilled salted beef tongue for yakiniku. The beef loin and special harami were served with salt and accompanied by wasabi. The tare yaki included a splendid top loin, special kalbi, and rib kalbi, all of which were tender and melted in the mouth. We also had foil-wrapped horumon, although there are no photos, I apologize. We enjoyed kuppah for rice. For dessert, we had milk jelly, concluding the 1.5-hour all-you-can-drink party. Thank you for the feast. The restaurant is located a little south along Taisho Street from Akasaka Subway Station. Established in 1997, this Korean barbecue restaurant is quite well-known locally and is suitable for entertaining and dining. I visited the main branch in Daimyo, although they also have a branch in Nakasu. It is located a 3-4 minute walk from Akasaka Station on the subway airport line, and within walking distance from Tenjin. The restaurant offers high-quality black wagyu beef such as Itoshima beef, Imari beef, Iki beef, Amakusa beef, and Hakata wagyu. The main seating consists of box-shaped tables, with private rooms available as well. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable. They have smokeless roasters on each table. I visited during lunchtime and decided to try something other than barbecue due to the hot weather and lack of appetite. I chose the Yukke Don from the separate menu, which comes with wakame soup, Korean-style cold tofu, and cabbage salad for 1,000 yen. It was a unique dish with raw beef slices marinated in a spicy sauce on top of rice. The sauce was flavorful, enhancing the quality of the meat. It was quite delicious and a healthier option compared to barbecue. My colleague ordered the Kalbi Chimu Lunch for 1,250 yen, which is a spicy soup with black wagyu bone-in meat simmered for a long time. The soup had a kimchi flavor and was filled with tender meat, perfect for replenishing stamina in the summer. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Today I was in the mood for meat. There are several meat restaurants in this area, and after checking reviews, I decided to go to this long-established place. I had lunch on the second floor since the third floor was full. You have to take off your shoes to use the sunken kotatsu seating. The lunch menu has some higher-priced items, but since I was dining alone, I opted for the Kalbi lunch (100g: 1,250 yen) with coffee for an additional 50 yen, totaling 1,300 yen (tax included, credit cards accepted). The Kalbi comes with a mix of lean and marbled meat, which was delicious. The marbled meat melts in your mouth and is my favorite. I also had a Korean-style tofu dish, a cabbage salad, delicious rice, and Wakame seaweed soup. The coffee, which is normally 420 yen, was an additional 50 yen, but it was a nice way to end the meal. The quality of the meat was good for the price, and I could feel the charm of this long-established restaurant. I will definitely visit again when I crave meat.

I usually go for the Kalbi set meal, but this time I was drawn to the limited quantity Harumi set meal. My partner added extra meat. The meat here is very juicy and the meat juices mix perfectly with the sauce. I also added authentic kimchi. The kimchi here is delicious with just the right amount of sourness.

It had been a while since I last visited Rikaen, but this time we were a group of 7 relatives dining together after a gathering. The guys were eager to eat lots of meat, so I encouraged the twin middle school girls to join in too! We ordered premium black wagyu tongue, sirloin steak, skirt steak, special kalbi, and special loin, each for 3-4 people, and grilled them all up. We started with draft beer, then moved on to highball, red wine (bottle), and finished with sweet potato shochu on the rocks! I tried my best to keep up, but the rich meat really hit my stomach hard. Thankfully, the Namul and Kimchi side dishes helped. And can you believe the middle school girls finished with cold noodles?! I had to pass on that. Thanks for the delicious meal!

This is a yakiniku restaurant in Daimyo. The Iki beef is also excellent. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff are well-trained, which results in a very pleasant customer service. The meat is fresh, so the taste is always perfect. However, it's a bit disappointing that the towels are disposable...

I wandered around and ended up having lunch at Rikkaen. The 3rd floor reception was full, so I was directed to the 2nd floor. After struggling with the menu, I decided on the classic Kalbi lunch for 1250 yen. It came with 100g of Kalbi, cabbage salad, tofu, wakame soup, and rice. The sauce was the only option, but meat is always delicious! Some parts of the meat were a bit tough, but you can tell which ones look tasty. I always save the best for last, so I savored the delicious meat at the end. Thank you for the meal! * "Shiwai" means tough or chewy, but it's a bit different... Maybe "shiwai" is just "shiwai" after all??

I have been visiting this yakiniku restaurant every time I go back to Kyushu for about 7-8 years now. Due to the timing of not being able to come because of the coronavirus, I finally had the chance to visit with my family during spring break. The private rooms are nice, the staff is friendly, and most importantly, the meat is delicious and reasonably priced for its quality. In particular, the lean meat they offer at a set price is outstanding.

Yes! Everything is delicious. There really is nothing to complain about. Delicious from the very beginning. The hagoromo senmai is a must-eat. Starting with the Korean salad, kimchi, salted tongue, moving on to the tripe, ichibo, kainomi, hump, lean meat, and finishing off with the kuppak.

The upper series is excellent in every way. I am not young, so I mainly enjoyed the red meats, but the quality of the meat is superb. In particular, the upper mino and tongue were impressive. The perfect balance of sauce that stimulates the appetite and the harmony of meat juices. I want to visit the restaurant again when I come to Fukuoka next time.

I have been to Rikaen for lunch before, but I had never been for dinner so I decided to give it a try. The lunch at Rikaen is really worth it. You can enjoy a variety of meats for around 2000 yen. The misuji (tenderloin) was delicious. I will definitely go back for dinner.

After entering the store, there were about 4 groups waiting! After waiting for about 20 minutes, we were seated inside! We ordered the Likkaenjojo Lunch Set (salted tongue, pork belly, salted liver, skirt meat, and tripe, rice, wakame soup, grilled vegetables, salad, Korean-style cold tofu) with an additional order of thinly sliced A5-ranked thigh meat! You can have unlimited rice refills! The quality of the meat is really high! It's great that you can try various meats at this price, it offers a wide variety and I'm happy about that! Especially the skirt meat and tripe had a good balance of lean meat and fat, making it juicy, tender, and incredibly delicious! The salted tongue also had a rich flavor that increased as you chew, but I wish it had a bit more thickness! The additional order of thinly sliced thigh meat was refreshing with no fat, easy to eat, and delicious! I had a refill of rice once and finished everything! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Holiday lunchtime, about a 5-minute walk from Akasaka Station on the Airport Subway Line, I visited "Rikaen Daimyo Main Store". A long-established yakiniku restaurant founded in 1964, they place great importance on their "commitment to Japanese beef" and focus on sourcing "Hakata Wagyu", "Iki Beef", "Amakusa Beef", and other black-haired Wagyu beef by purchasing whole cows. The main store is located in Daimyo, with branches also in Nakasu and Nakasu Meiji Street. It has been selected as one of the top 100 yakiniku restaurants in 2018, 2020, and 2021.
The restaurant is housed in a splendid three-story building. The lunch reception is on the 3rd floor, accessed by a small elevator that can only fit about 3 people (I made the embarrassing mistake of going up to the 2nd floor by accident). The interior has a sense of luxury but is not too intimidating, with families and even solo diners present. Despite not having a reservation, I was seated in about 5 minutes.
The lunch menu ranges from 1,000 yen to just under 3,000 yen, allowing you to choose according to your budget and preferences. It's great that they offer lunch even on holidays. While I was tempted by the yukhoe bowl, I decided on the ★Lean Beef Lunch for 1,150 yen. It arrived in about 5 minutes. Let's dig in.
- Lean Beef: The lean meat is cooked quickly to avoid becoming tough, resulting in a moist and tender texture. The more you chew, the more umami flavor emerges. The sauce is not too strong, complementing the deliciousness of the meat well. I still love lean meat.
- Salad: Shredded cabbage with a rich mayonnaise-based dressing. The cabbage was a bit too crunchy, which was a bit disappointing.
- Korean-style Cold Tofu: Silken tofu topped with a sesame oil-infused spicy sauce. A nice palate cleanser.
- Wakame Soup: Not too salty and elegant, with plenty of wakame. Personally, I would have preferred it with sesame seeds.
I enjoyed high-quality meat at a good price. What caught my attention was the hot carpet laid at our feet. It's these small considerations that make a restaurant stand the test of time. Thank you for the meal.

The famous restaurant "Rikkaen" in Daimyo for lunch~ It's been a long time since I last visited. This place is a well-known traditional yakiniku restaurant in Fukuoka. I started with a beer, of course, and ordered the Kalbi lunch set for 1250 yen. The portion may not be huge, but it's enough for a lunch. I poured plenty of thin, watery sauce over the meat and enjoyed it on top of rice. It's a safe choice. Come to think of it, I vaguely remember there used to be a cheaper restaurant on the first floor, but I can't recall much about it.

We made a reservation for 4 family members and went. It was our first time trying Chateaubriand, and it was very tender. When we tried different cuts of meat, the green onion salted tongue wrapped in green onion was the most popular. I personally liked the Lika Garden Galbi. The side dishes like Bibimbap and Jijimi were also good.

I found a limited all-you-can-eat course at Rikaen Daimyo Honten on the internet! I made a reservation the night before and was able to book for the next day from 15:30. I added a 1,650 yen all-you-can-drink option to the 3,000 yen course. The all-you-can-eat menu included salted tongue (only one plate at the beginning), lean meat (salted and marinated), kalbi (green onion, salt, marinated), kimchi, grilled vegetables, soup, and rice. The salted tongue was emphasized as a service and only one plate was offered. As expected from Rikaen, it was delicious. The marinade was tasty, and the green onion kalbi tasted great with lemon squeezed on it. However, I wish there were more varieties of meat available for the all-you-can-eat option. In the end, there were only two types of meat, kalbi and lean meat, so I got a bit bored and full quickly. Also, the meat I ordered for seconds had better cuts than the initial serving (which had a lot of fatty parts). All in all, you can't eat as much as you think during all-you-can-eat, but it was still satisfying to enjoy delicious meat after a long time!

This is a high-class yakiniku restaurant that is well-known in Fukuoka. The meat is incredibly delicious. The lunch deals are only available on weekdays, so you'll have to choose from the regular course or a la carte menu. It may be a bit pricey, but the meat is top-notch. If you want to enjoy delicious meat slowly, you can't miss out on Rikaen.
