This is a cozy little shop with a nice atmosphere. I ordered both pan-fried dumplings and boiled dumplings, and they were both delicious. I was surprised that the boiled dumplings had thin skin, which was a new experience for me and really tasty! They also had a menu item called "Next Door Kimchi," which uses kimchi from a nearby kimchi specialty shop called Kimchi no Aoyama. I asked the staff about it and decided to try it. It had a flavor that I really liked. I have actually bought octopus kimchi from that shop before and enjoyed it, but this was my first time trying regular kimchi. I think I'll buy some kimchi next time!

I visited Moheji and it was a small restaurant with the owner and a young woman working there. I ordered a few dishes and they arrived quickly. When I tried the dumplings, I was surprised by the filling inside. It had a firm texture and the filling was smooth and flavorful. It was unique, not like beef, but I wonder what kind of meat and in what proportions were used. The potato salad was also delicious. The flavors would definitely be popular in Fukuoka. I hope they become well-known there. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant right at its opening time of 5 pm on a regular day and ordered a takeout of gyoza set meal. Even though it was during their break time, they kindly prepared it for me. Many people enjoy eating gyoza with alcohol in the evening. The gyoza here is larger than usual and filled with a thick and flavorful filling that makes it easy to eat. The portion size and price are both very reasonable. It's easy to see why this restaurant is loved by locals. I will definitely come back again.

Ogura Kita-ku, Kitakyushu City, located behind the Sanhagino branch of Nishi-Nihon City Bank. A gyoza-focused izakaya. Takeout is also available. The menu includes a variety of gyoza options (grilled, boiled, fried, steamed) and other izakaya dishes like fried shrimp. They also offer gyoza set meals for customers who don't drink alcohol. You can also get frozen grilled gyoza for takeout. I ordered the grilled gyoza (330 yen) and potato salad (380 yen) this time. The potato salad is a COVID-19 prevention measure menu item. The grilled gyoza comes in a set of 6 small gyoza with a strong meaty flavor and a nice texture from the onions. The potato salad is salty with crunchy onions and chunks of potatoes with carrots. Personally, I prefer a smoother texture for potato salad. It's best to decide whether to buy frozen gyoza to cook at home or eat at the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Moheji Kitakyushu City, Sanhagi-no Area, is a reasonably priced gyoza izakaya that is open for both lunch and dinner. You can also enjoy simple set meals during dinner time. Located near the entrance of the Ogonmachi shopping street, the gyoza flag is a landmark. There is outdoor seating available on the right side of the entrance for dinner, making it suitable for small group gatherings. Inside, there is a small space with a counter along the kitchen, and it seems like there are private rooms in the back. The atmosphere is more like a traditional local diner than an izakaya. The menu (pre-tax prices) includes gyoza starting from 330 yen, rice dishes from 150 yen, side dishes from 330 yen, fried foods from 480 yen, salads from 380 yen, and gyoza set meals for 680 yen (with additional charges for extra rice or changing to clam soup). There are also drink options available. The gyoza set meal for 680 yen includes: - Grilled gyoza - Oden - Potato salad - Miso soup - Rice - Pickles The grilled gyoza comes with 8 pieces, filled with rich meat but well-balanced, not too garlicky, and has a crispy and delicious texture. The oden and potato salad are generously portioned, and the oden has a variety of ingredients with a flavorful taste. The simple potato salad has a homemade feel and serves as a refreshing side dish. The hot miso soup, assorted pickles, and tasty rice complete the meal. Overall, the dishes are generously portioned with rich flavors. The gyoza, being the signature dish, was particularly enjoyable, so I also purchased a takeout of 20 pieces of raw gyoza for 680 yen. There were instructions on how to grill them, and they turned out delicious at home as well. The takeout gyoza here can also be quickly cooked for immediate consumption. Although the space is small, there are various a la carte menu items available, and you can also customize them into set meals with rice and miso soup. The prices are reasonable and fair, especially for solo diners. It is convenient for those who stop by to buy takeout gyoza. There are also other popular eateries nearby, such as Kubee Udon and Toyo-ken Ramen, making it a bustling area for dining. It seems like they have a loyal customer base, with many familiar faces and groups making reservations. My family also enjoyed the food, so I would like to visit again to buy gyoza when I have the chance. Moheji Monorail Koharu-guchi Sanhagi-no Station is a 3-minute walk away. Lunch service available. Smoking allowed. Paid parking available nearby.

I was a bit worried because the shop looked a little dirty from the outside, but once I went in, the food was amazing (^○^) Every dumpling was delicious. You can really taste the flavor of the meat, the skin is a bit crispy, and they're cooked perfectly! The egg on rice is also delicious. It's cheap, delicious, and fast! About 300 yen for 6 dumplings! There are set meals for around 500 yen. If someone asks where to find delicious dumplings in Kokura Kita-ku, I would recommend this place over the famous one. Deliciousness: 7/10, Atmosphere: 5/10, Value for money: 6/10, Service: 6/10, Willingness to return: 7/10.

This is an izakaya that mainly serves gyoza. I had the gyoza set meal. The gyoza was not crispy but rather meaty. The staff's service was excellent, and the draft beer was only 300 yen per glass.

The dumplings here taste just like the ones my mom makes at home, so much so that the kids all say they're just like their mom's. It's a comforting, home-cooked flavor. On days when I don't feel like cooking, I buy dumplings here to take home. I've never had lunch here, but it seems like a good deal. I saw them making a large batch of delicious-looking potato salad, and I'm sure it's tasty. I'll come for lunch sometime.

There is a gyoza restaurant in Sanhagiya. You can eat in the restaurant or take it to go. I have been curious about this place for a while. I bought gyoza to take home for dinner. I think it was 300 yen for 5 pieces. The taste is not incredibly delicious, but it is easy to eat and tasty. I think it's good as a side dish and goes well with beer.

This day was a birthday party for a former senior colleague, and there was a request for gyoza, so we went to "Moheji" restaurant. The restaurant is within walking distance from the Monorail Koshikuchi-Mihagi Station, located in a corner of the Kogane Market. The interior has counter seats and table seats, with a small capacity. We ordered the following: - Gyoza (300 yen) - 6 pieces per plate. The ratio is meat-heavy and vegetable-light. The taste is old-fashioned, with a good balance of flavors. The skin is not too thin, with a chewy texture. - Shrimp Gyoza (450 yen) - A version of gyoza with shrimp. It is delicious with small shrimps packed inside. - Kimchi from the next door restaurant (350 yen) - A reliable dish. - Fried Horse Mackerel (400 yen) - Crispy and delicious, served with sauce, tartar, and lemon. - Fried Gyoza (350 yen) - Crispy and crunchy. - Shrimp Gyoza in broth (500 yen) - The shrimp gyoza is good with ponzu sauce. - Okra Natto (300 yen) - A good side dish. The staff is energetic and friendly, providing quick service. Gyoza can be enjoyed in four different styles: fried, boiled, steamed, and fried. I recommend the fried or boiled gyoza, and the boiled or steamed shrimp gyoza. The beer is cheap, and overall, it is reasonable. Although it is listed as credit card acceptable on Tabelog, it seems that it is currently not accepted. I will definitely go back! Thank you for the meal.

I went to dinner with a friend at an izakaya that specializes in four types of gyoza. The place is located in Ougon 1-chome, a little further down on the right side from the east entrance of Ougon Market. There is no parking lot, but there is a coin parking in front of the store. The small interior has counter seats and five table seats in the adjacent and back areas. The menu features 8 types of gyoza as the main dish. They also offer shrimp gyoza in four varieties, each for an additional 150 yen. Other items on the menu include a gyoza set meal with simmered dishes and salad. The gyoza set meal costs 580 yen, with options to add extra rice for 100 yen or change to clam soup for 150 yen. I ordered the gyoza set meal with extra rice and clam soup, as well as boiled gyoza and fried gyoza separately. The fried gyoza had a crispy surface and a generous amount of well-seasoned filling, making it delicious. The simmered dish included tofu, kelp, konjac, carrots, and burdock, with a flavorful taste. The potato salad was also quite substantial. The clam soup had a good flavor but the sand removal was not done well, resulting in a slightly crunchy texture. The boiled gyoza had tasty filling and chewy skin, perfect with ponzu sauce. The fried gyoza was sprinkled with salt, adding a nice touch. On a later visit with a companion, we ordered shrimp gyoza as the main dish. We started with a draft beer and tried the marinated horse mackerel, which my companion enjoyed. The shrimp fried gyoza lacked the desired firmness in the shrimp, while the shrimp steamed gyoza was also lacking in shrimp texture. The meat and vegetable stir-fry was delicious, with chunky onions. The fried rice had a well-seasoned saltiness and was tasty, although the price seemed a bit high for the portion size. The regular gyoza were large and delicious, priced reasonably at 250 to 300 yen for 6 pieces. The set meal was also recommended for its generous portion. While the garlic flavor may not be immediately noticeable, it is actually quite strong.

16.8 Revisited ☆ Gyoza Set Meal (limited quantity) for 550 yen is still on the menu, which is fantastic. This time, I decided to visit with my son for a little celebration. We ordered: 6 pieces of pan-fried gyoza for 250 yen each x2, rice with raw egg for 250 yen, edamame for 250 yen, 3 chicken wings for 450 yen, potato salad for 280 yen, bottled beer, highball, cold sake. The total came to 2800 yen, which is quite cheap! The gyoza were outstanding, with a flavorful pepper and salt seasoning on the chicken wings, and a delicious potato salad. My son was also impressed. I originally wanted to visit with the intention of slapping my son, who had dyed his hair blonde, but we ended up in a great mood as a parent and child. 16.1.19 I found out about this restaurant from a reviewer's recommendation. The place seemed a bit intimidating for a woman dining alone, with only 4-5 counter seats visible from the outside. However, I was determined to try their reportedly delicious gyoza without garlic. Luckily, I had a male friend with me that day, and I confidently asked if we could just have a meal. It was around 6 pm, with two people at the counter and a family of three waiting for their food at one of the three tables in the back. There was a room in the back too. We were seated at a 2-person table. I noticed that they were turning away customers because it takes time to prepare the food. I ordered the Gyoza Set Meal (8 gyoza, simmered dish, potato salad, miso soup, pickles) for 550 yen. It came with 8 gyoza, which was a pleasant surprise. The gyoza had a slightly crispy skin and a nice color, and were neatly arranged on the plate. The meat filling appeared darker and richer than the usual pork mince in gyoza, almost like it contained beef. The flavor of the meat itself was incredibly delicious. The combination of the green and white parts of the leek added to the overall deliciousness, with the crunchy texture and sweetness of the white part enhancing the flavor. The gyoza had a similar texture to onions, so I wondered if there were onions in them as well. It was truly a flavorful gyoza. The side dishes included a vegetable and dried tofu simmer, a generous portion of potato salad, and a flavorful miso soup with a strong saltiness but a refined dashi taste. Despite being a bit too much for my age, I finished everything without getting tired of the gyoza. The price of 550 yen was unbelievably cheap! The owner was also very friendly. It seems that the restaurant may have changed its operating hours, as it didn't seem to be open for lunch when I passed by a few times before. So, make sure to check before going to enjoy delicious gyoza. (I apologize for not confirming myself)

I tried the Gyoza Curry (650 yen) in May 2015. It was labeled as very spicy on the menu, and indeed it was quite spicy. The curry was cooked thoroughly, with the ingredients not retaining their shape. It was authentic and delicious! The Gyoza Set Meal (550 yen) was fantastic. The gyoza was like a meaty shumai type, and surprisingly, no garlic was used. The side dish was simmered vegetables. The value for money was great, and the service was polite and speedy. It's a good restaurant, even though it may not stand out. Overall, a great lunch experience. Located near the Yellow Market, close to famous places like Toyo-ken and Kyubei. This time, I registered the store. I don't remember much information online, just the name, address, and phone number. It seems like the store has been open for over a year. I finally decided to visit and see what it's like. Around 12 PM on a weekday, the counter had 5 seats, and there was one male owner and three male customers. With my arrival, the counter was full, but there seemed to be table seating at the back. The other customers seemed like regulars, and the place operates as an izakaya at night. There was a TV. The Gyoza Set Meal for 550 yen was served in 7-8 minutes. It looked like a good choice. The main gyoza (8 pieces) was meaty with a chewy skin, grilled using a tanico gyoza griller. The side dishes included a generous portion of potato salad, cold tofu, miso soup with seaweed and fried tofu, and pickles. The service was polite, despite appearances. I should have come here sooner. It's a great place, and now there are more lunch options in the area. Thank you for the meal today. Overall, what's most useful are the photos of the food and menu. Silly comments are not really necessary, but a bit of humor is always good. Laughing is essential! 😉
