This is the strength of chains. The taste is consistent with the usual store I go to. I can use it with peace of mind. I stayed in a pretty quiet town for tomorrow's schedule. I wanted another drink, so I explored the town. There were many different shops, but I couldn't find a place that suited my current appetite... until I found Ya Tai Zushi. They had sardines which I hadn't seen in Nara, so I ordered them. Delicious. I ended the day with sushi rolls and a highball. Thank you for the meal!

Visited a sushi restaurant with a junior from my university days. I've lost count of how many times I've been here, but this place always makes me want to come back. Enjoyed sushi and cheap drinks while playing a dice game for highball. Ordered squid tempura and had a great time. Definitely want to visit this place again.

Happy Hour was happening but I missed the timing, however, drinks were half price. The seafood was consistently delicious and the sushi was also very tasty. I love rolls, and the Tekka Maki looked and tasted great. If you can eat this quality at this price, it's a perfect score.

Seafood and sushi at an affordable price at Daizushi Omorikaigan. The sashimi here is highly praised and well-known, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived, it was full, so I had to wait a bit before entering. I tried the 5-piece sashimi platter and the squid tempura, which were slightly above average in taste.

So, here is a record of a recent meal experience. This place is similar to Saizeriya in that it has good reviews, but I hesitated to go. However, after registering on LINE, I got a coupon for a drink for only 100 yen. I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was like a chain izakaya, which I'm not a fan of. There was a counter, which was nice. The appetizer was like an egg salad sandwich, which seemed like a commercial product. I see, so that's how it is. The miso kyu was just a regular miso kyu, and the hamachi no oba makiage was interesting with the plum sauce. It could have been improved by adding more plum flavor and making the presentation a bit more creative. The enagawa shio dare yukke, which is popular, was okay for a bite or two. For drinks, I had draft beer, tomato highball, and Kishu Nanko Ume liqueur on the rocks, all for 100 yen each. Now, onto the sushi. You have to fill out an order form and submit it. You can request the size of the shari (rice). I prefer smaller shari, so I ordered that. Surprisingly, the sushi was served directly at the counter. I ordered my favorites like hotate, shako, anago, and kohada. But wait, is that avocado? I was curious about how it would taste. The shari was smaller than I expected, but the overall impression improved once I started eating. The torotaku was decent for the price, and the combination was nice because I like it. As for the jijimi soup, I do not recommend it. Looking back, I realize I may have sounded a bit pretentious. For example, if you go with friends or family and enjoy it to the fullest, it could be a lot of fun! Sushi for everyday use, for example, could be totally fine. There are quite a few izakaya restaurants that serve sushi, but this place feels more like a sushi restaurant that also offers izakaya dishes! The fish here is pretty good! I first discovered this place in Kansai, but I was happy to find out they have a location in Tokyo too. The food is delicious for the price! I usually go alone, so I sat at the end of the counter :) I ordered 3 beers, highball, toro-zanmai nigiri, seared salmon sashimi, grilled chicken harami, salt-grilled mackerel, tekka maki, uni, engawa, sweet shrimp, and red miso soup. It's a spacious restaurant with plenty of counters and tables. Dining alone at the counter is just right. Started with beer and sashimi. Definitely wanted sushi at the end, so I decided to order simmered daikon halfway through. Three large pieces came out, but I managed to eat them smoothly. The flavor was well infused and delicious. Sake would go well with it. And for the finale, I ordered sushi. You can order individual pieces, so you can choose what you want to eat. Plus, you write your order on paper, so it's okay to take your time deciding. For the finale, I had kanpyo maki with wasabi on top. It was delicious as expected. For the second round, I had the classic Chinchirorin highball. If you roll a double number, you get a free drink, and this time I got one for free. The prices can vary, but overall it's a good deal, so if you like highballs, I recommend choosing this option. It might be a little embarrassing to roll the dice, but it's necessary to get the discount.

In Oomori, I was surprised to find a festival going on late at night. Today, I walked to Oomori Beach and visited this place for the first time. It was past 1 am, but there were quite a few customers! We were guided to a private room and ordered the usual menu that my companion often orders. The fried squid? Tempura was freshly fried and the squid inside was not thin and tasteless like in other places, but firm and delicious! The sashimi platter was also fresh and quite good. I didn't take a picture, but we also ordered sea urchin as a side dish, which was decent. Then we moved on to sushi! They even served miso soup. It was a pretty good restaurant. I tried out a restaurant that is open after the last train. Despite being late, the place was quite busy, and I had to wait a bit until a seat at the counter opened up. The waitress had a cool demeanor, but the chef was a lovely person with a big smile. The tables inside were filled with people having a good time. I ordered a tofu and seaweed salad, sushi platter, and jasmine tea. The seafood bowl with miso soup seemed like a quicker and cheaper option, but I wanted to try the sushi. The jasmine tea was a bit pricey at 300 yen, but it was a generous portion. It took me a while to finish it. The tofu and seaweed salad was a hearty dish. As for the sushi, it was incredibly fresh compared to supermarket sushi. The clams were crunchy, the fish slices melted in my mouth, and the rice was well-shaped with hand marks visible. The wasabi was quite strong. It wasn't super cheap, but I was impressed that I could enjoy sushi in the middle of the night without resorting to convenience store options. They also accepted Suica, credit cards, and other cashless payments seamlessly.

I used this restaurant for the first time. I used a 10% off coupon, but normally drinks are half price until 7pm (some drinks are not included in the half price offer). I ordered a sashimi platter and grilled mackerel. The sashimi was delicious! They have set sushi options, but you can also write down your preferences on the paper provided to order. They are willing to accommodate different sizes of sushi rice. I would like to use this restaurant again.

The little-known Omorikaigan Station. Discovered a somewhat questionable restaurant, called "Yatazushi" which sounds appealing, right? Sushi is said to have originated from a street food stall by Hanaya Yohei. Since it says "sushi" on the sign, it must be a sushi restaurant here. (Honestly, I entered because they had half-price drinks until 7 pm...) Inside, it had a menu similar to an izakaya. There was also a sushi counter. The appetizers were cheap and easy to order. The sushi had thick toppings and the rice was about the size of the first joint of a thumb. There were families and groups of friends, a wide range of customers seemed to love this place. Made a note to come back again... We left Yatazushi and headed towards Omori Station. Ignored various hostess clubs and ended up having a double scoop at Baskin Robbins before heading home. In the end, Baskin Robbins is the best.

I went again, haha. No matter how many times I come here, it's always the best!

If you want to eat sushi, "Yatazushi" is cheap and delicious!

The sashimi here is delicious, cheap, and always makes me happy. The sushi during happy hour is a bit poorly made, but the sashimi is delicious lol. The grilled squid is also delicious. Whenever I'm in a bind, I think I'll eat here from now on.

I visited for closure. There was no off-putting smell, and the fish was delicious.

The hotel is right in front, super convenient. Even though it was a weekday, it was fully booked, but the staff provided pleasant customer service.
