A long-standing ramen shop located just off the main street in Kachidoki. Recently, the exterior has been repainted, and the intense old-fashioned atmosphere has been lost. They serve a simple and elegant Shoyu ramen (soba noodle shop style ramen). The broth has a clear and rich flavor with a strong taste of seasoning and dashi, making it very delicious. The combination of the broth and curly noodles with a firm texture is perfect. It's a very tasty bowl of ramen that is satisfying without needing any explanation.

I ordered the Char Siu Wonton Ramen. The soup was traditional, like Chuka Soba or Ramen. The wontons were chewy. The best part was the Char Siu. It had the perfect flavor and texture, making the whole ramen balanced and delicious. It was a comforting taste.

A ramen shop near Tsukishima Second Park in Kachidoki. I've eaten here a few times, but this is my first time writing a review. The retro exterior has a great atmosphere. The small interior is always crowded during lunch, and it was almost full on this day. I ordered the wonton noodles. The taste and appearance are both nostalgic. The noodles seem like kansui noodles. The wontons also have a nostalgic taste from the Showa era. As I ate the soup here, I couldn't help but notice that the sweetness comes through as you eat more, but being in the neighborhood, I find myself craving it occasionally.

I visited Shinasoba-ya in the Tsukishima area for some nostalgic Showa-style Chinese soba. I ordered the Wantanmen for 860 yen, with an extra large portion for an additional 100 yen. The ramen was served in a large bowl that couldn't be bridged with chopsticks. The noodles were made from semi-strong flour and kansui, giving them a slightly alkaline smell, and were paired with a soy sauce soup made from chicken and pork bones. The chewy texture of the wantan added to the enjoyment, and I sprinkled some white pepper on top for extra flavor. Overall, it was delicious! d(´ڡ`๑)

Today's lunch was from Kachidoki! During lunchtime, I decided to try out a traditional Chinese noodle shop that can get quite crowded, called Shinasoba-ya. The atmosphere inside is bustling with shared seating, showing its popularity. While the simple Chinese noodles on the menu are good, I opted for the wonton men which is a favorite of mine. Here we go! Wonton men! The presentation is simple and traditional, with a generous amount of soup in a large bowl. The soup is a flavorful chicken base typical of Chinese noodles, with a nice touch of green onions. The noodles are thin and chewy, fitting the Chinese noodle style. Topped with thinly sliced pork and tender bamboo shoots, the wontons have a slightly chewy skin and a hint of ginger in the meat filling. The sesame oil adds a nice finish to the dish. Personally, I'm not a fan of the noodles, but the wontons alone are satisfying! Oh, they don't serve just wontons... The service and atmosphere of the restaurant may not be to everyone's liking, but the taste is quite good, so it's worth a try during off-peak hours for some cold noodles!

I visited a casual Chinese restaurant in Kachidoki. It was unique to eat while watching the TV mounted under the ceiling. I tried the Tan Tan Wonton Noodles, which is a variation of the spicy sesame noodles with a fluffy egg topping. The pickled mustard greens added a nice touch, and the egg was deliciously fluffy. The spiciness was moderate, warming me up from the inside.

Tan Tan Wonton Ramen for 980 yen in Chuo Ward, Tokyo. It's a 2-minute walk from Kachidoki Station, in an area lined with high-rise buildings. However, this soba shop has a nice retro vibe. It's like a little piece of the past preserved in this area. I really like the cozy atmosphere here. I was looking for something to eat between my client meeting and the station, and as soon as I found this place, I knew it was the right choice! While they mainly serve ramen, they also offer a few side dishes. The small shop has only table seating. The menu is displayed on a wall a bit far away, with arrows pointing to 3 recommended items: No.1 Tan Tan Wonton Ramen, No.2 Wonton Ramen, and No.3 Negi Miso Ramen. So, following the rule of the top left corner of the ticket machine... I ordered No.1 verbally. The Tan Tan Wonton Ramen arrives with beaten egg, minced meat, chopped vegetables, and garlic chives on top of the noodles. It reminded me of a certain soul food in Kawasaki. The soup is a spicy chicken soy sauce base with chili peppers and sesame oil, delivering a straight punch of spiciness. It made me cough a bit when I slurped it hastily. I had to cool down the heat with the beaten egg while enjoying the chewy thin noodles. The wontons were mostly skin with a hint of meat, but each piece was large and satisfyingly chewy. The shop has recently reopened for dinner, and the regulars were greeted warmly with a friendly reminder to come back at night. It's a cozy place that you'll want to visit again and again if it were nearby. Delicious!

I strolled around the area near Kachidoki Station for lunch today. I took the Toei Oedo Line and exited the station towards Shinjima Bridge, then took the elevator at the A4 exit right in front of the ticket gate. When I reached the landing, I took the elevator on the right. Upon reaching the ground level, I turned right onto Kiyosumi Street, walked a bit, crossed a signalized intersection, turned right immediately, and walked for a while. When I turned left at the first T-junction, I found the restaurant I visited today, "Shina Soba-ya," on the left. I entered the restaurant at 1:25 PM on a weekday. Inside, there were two men and one solo male customer, totaling five people. I sat at a table in the middle on the right side after entering the entrance and checked the menu. The menu included various ramen dishes, toppings, and sets. I ordered the "Shina Soba-ya Ramen" along with the "Char Siu Don Set." The food was served promptly, and the ramen had a rich soy sauce-based soup with a shiny layer of chicken oil on top. The noodles were slightly curly with a good chewy texture that blended well with the flavorful soup. The toppings included char siu, menma, naruto, seaweed, and chopped green onions, all of which were tasty. The "Char Siu Don" featured three slices of char siu on rice with a delicious sauce. I enjoyed the combination of both dishes and finished them completely. Today, I savored the nostalgic taste of Showa-era ramen tucked away in a back alley. Thank you for the meal.

It was a telework day, so I visited a nearby soba restaurant. When I arrived after 12 o'clock, there were about 5 people in line. There were about 6 people lined up behind me, but the turnover is fast so we didn't have to wait long to get inside the shop. There was hand sanitizing at the entrance, and the interior of the shop was securely divided with acrylic boards. There was also a notice to refrain from chatting inside the shop. Today, I ordered the usual soba ramen, which was reliably delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular lunchtime, I decided to have lunch in the Kachidoki area. I was drawn to this restaurant with a cool exterior and decided to open the sliding door and step inside. Despite the rain outside, the restaurant was fully packed and I had to share a table with someone else. Just as I was about to give up, a staff member cleared a table and I quickly took a seat. After some hesitation, I ordered the second most popular dish on the menu, the Wonton Men. The handwritten menu inside was surprisingly neat and different from what I had imagined based on the exterior. This was quite unexpected in a way (laughs). "Wonton Men" (830 yen) The Wonton Men arrived after a while, and there were plenty of wontons in the bowl, which was generous. However, I prefer the filling inside the wontons to have more flavor. The soup was a light clear broth, possibly made from seafood. I could taste a hint of sweetness, but I couldn't quite pinpoint the flavor. It would have been even better if they added a bit more chicken oil to enhance the taste. The noodles, as mentioned on the poster inside, were supposedly homemade. They were old-school yellow curly noodles, and the taste was average. The char siu was made from pork belly, and it was delicious. Since there were people waiting outside with umbrellas, I quickly finished my meal and paid the bill. Looking around, it seemed like many people were ordering tantan ramen or negi ramen. Perhaps they wanted a bit more kick in their broth since the base here is a light soup. Next time, I'll try the Kawasaki-style tantan ramen or char siu noodles. By the way, the most popular dish here is the tantan wonton men. Thank you for the meal.

Sometimes I crave the taste of a traditional ramen shop. I usually go for shoyu ramen or tantanmen, but today I decided to try the miso ramen! I don't usually eat miso ramen, but I saw regular customers ordering it often so I gave it a try. It was rich and delicious!! By the way, the chashu here is my favorite!

This is a Chinese restaurant located near Kachidoki Station on the Toei Oedo Line. The restaurant is situated right next to Tsukishima Second Children's Park. The exterior of the restaurant is an old building that looks like a combination of a residence and a shop, with no banners or signs, making it hard to tell from a distance if it's open or closed. However, it's a popular spot with long lines during lunchtime. Inside, there are only table seats in this small restaurant with five tables. The walls are decorated with menus and autographs of celebrities, making it a well-known place among locals. The menu includes their famous Dan Dan Wonton Noodles priced at 980 yen, which is quite expensive for Chuo Ward. The cheapest item on the menu is the Shinasobaya Ramen at 730 yen. I tried the Dan Dan Wonton Noodles (980 yen) which are different from the typical sesame-flavored ones, as they are finished with beaten eggs, similar to the style of Kawasaki's Dan Dan noodles. When served, you can strongly smell the aroma of sesame oil. The soup is piping hot due to the sesame oil covering it. The ingredients include minced meat, zha cai, enoki mushrooms, and leeks, all topped with beaten eggs. Of course, there are wontons as well. This unique style of Dan Dan noodles was created when a Chinese restaurant in Kawasaki learned Sichuan-style Dan Dan noodles and adapted it for Japanese taste, resulting in a slightly different version of Dan Dan noodles. This version is closer to the traditional Kawasaki style. The zha cai, cut into squares, is the most abundant ingredient after the eggs. The seasoning is a mix of soy sauce and sesame oil, with a mild flavor overall. The spiciness is derived from the zha cai, with a hint of doubanjiang or chili added, making it tolerable without needing water. However, it is very hot, so you might want to drink water. There is no garlic, so the overall taste is mild, making it suitable for a lunch meal. The noodles are standard Chinese noodles, curly and firm. The wontons are average, with a slightly chewy texture. They are not necessary, but without them, the regular Dan Dan noodles (880 yen) might lack volume. Since the wontons cost an additional 100 yen, it's worth adding them. This Dan Dan noodles with a sesame oil aroma is like a unique soy sauce ramen. Lunchtime can get crowded, so it's considered rude to use your smartphone, and it's best to leave promptly after finishing your meal as there are people waiting outside. It may feel slightly expensive, but for a lunch in Chuo Ward, this is standard pricing. For non-Kawasaki residents, this unique and rare noodle dish is worth trying even at this price. If you're in the Kachidoki area and craving unique ramen, this is a recommended spot.

"Shina Soba-ya" is a traditional ramen shop located about a 3-4 minute walk from Kachidoki Station. I visited with a senior colleague for lunch on a weekday. The exterior of the shop exudes a nostalgic Showa-era ramen shop vibe. Inside, there are a few compact table seats, with acrylic partitions for safety measures. The menu includes the classic "Shina Soba-ya Ramen," as well as options like "Wonton Men" and "Tsukemen." On this day, I ordered the "Shina Soba-ya Ramen (730 yen)." The ramen features straight curly noodles and a light chicken-based soy sauce broth that can be enjoyed until the last drop. With prices in the 700 yen range, it's a reasonable choice for when you crave ramen. I would definitely visit again when I want affordable ramen.

It has a very old-fashioned style and is quite ordinary. It doesn't feel sloppy, but I wouldn't say the cost performance is good. It's like homemade delicious ramen. The chashu was done properly. It's a good place to go for a light meal after drinking, but they don't stay open too late.

I heard there was a shop in Kachidoki that serves noodles similar to Kawasaki Tantanmen, so I decided to go check it out. Despite the development around the intersection and main roads in Kachidoki, once you turn down a side street, it's just a normal residential area. In the middle of that, there was a small shop. The cozy interior meant sharing tables was common. Looking at the menu, they only served noodles. I ordered the Tantan Ramen I was looking for, which cost 850 yen. When it arrived, it had ground meat and beaten egg like Kawasaki Tantanmen, but the soup wasn't red. The noodles were also thinner. However, it was still delicious, with the spiciness coming from chili oil. When I finished the noodles and scooped up the bottom of the soup, I found small pieces of pickled mustard greens. It was different from Kawasaki Tantanmen and other sesame-based Tantanmen you find around town, but it was unique and tasty. It was a delightful meal.

I visited this place before and the food was delicious, so since I came close by, I decided to have lunch here as my second stop today. I ordered the Char Siu Wonton Noodles for ¥1050. I arrived around 11:30 and the place was quite crowded with customers, so I had to share a table with someone. The soy sauce ramen brought back nostalgic memories. The thin curly noodles were just to my liking, and the wontons and char siu were delicious! I would like to try the Ton Ton set meal (ramen and rice bowl set) next time. By the time I left, there was a line outside the restaurant.

This is an old-fashioned ramen shop in Kachidoki. It is relatively close to the station but tucked away in a back alley, giving it a hidden gem vibe. The inside of the shop is bustling with local regulars! There is no counter, only tables. This time, I ordered the basic ramen (*'▽'*). In the photo, it looks a bit dark, but the visual of the noodles is impressive. The soup is a light chicken broth, typical of old-fashioned ramen (^-^) At first, it seemed ordinary, but as I continued to sip, the deliciousness gradually emerged. It feels comforting and heartwarming. The noodles are medium-thick curly noodles. They have a firm texture compared to regular soy sauce ramen, which is a distinctive feature. Surprisingly, the soup has a stronger presence, not losing to the noodles. The toppings include chashu, menma, naruto, seaweed, and green onions. They are all the necessary toppings for ramen, nothing outstanding but not disappointing either. The texture of the green onions complements the soup nicely. When you want to eat a light soy sauce ramen, this is a nice place to have in the local area. It's understandable why the locals gather here. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a ramen and soba restaurant in Kachidoki. The exterior exudes a sense of history. The small interior was packed during lunchtime. Customers were seated together at shared tables. I decided to try the popular Spicy Wonton Ramen for 950 yen. It came with finely chopped zha cai, enoki mushrooms, green onions, and minced meat. The perfectly sized wontons were topped with fluffy beaten egg, adding a delightful texture. The noodles were translucent egg noodles with a light chewiness. The soup had a balanced umami and spiciness that was quite addictive. The wontons had a firm skin, but I prefer the silky ones. If I were to order again, I would go for the version without wontons. The turnover was fast, and there was already a line forming when I left the restaurant.

It seems different from the now-gone master Sano's "Shina Soba-ya". This ramen shop in Kachidoki serves a gentle, traditional Chinese soba. It is popular and the menu often sells out quickly, so it's better to go early. The miso ramen, gyoza, and other items are delicious, truly a friend of the common people.
