I went to the Chinese restaurant "Sansuirou" with the best access from the west exit of Yoyogi Station. I ordered the daily special "ginger pork set meal". After a reasonable wait, the "ginger pork set meal" arrived with layers of tender pork belly, although it was quite oily, the sweetness of the ginger and onions was well balanced. The pork belly was cooked perfectly, hot and filling, much more delicious than the ginger pork specialty shop I visited the other day! Next to the ginger pork, there was shredded cabbage with French dressing, and the acidity of the dressing matched surprisingly well with the ginger pork, making the rice go down smoothly! It was a very delicious set meal!

On weekdays, about 30% of customers come in at 6:00 PM. Today, I ordered the usual fried rice and dumplings. I really like this Chinese restaurant. I want to try other dishes, but I always end up ordering the same thing. It was delicious today as well. The place is not very clean, but there are also female solo customers.

I stopped by at Yoyogi and ordered the shrimp fried rice set for dinner. It had decent portion size and taste. However, the prices were on the higher side, possibly due to the location. Also, they only accept cash payments, so those who usually use cashless payments should be aware.

I was the only customer at 6:00 pm on a weekday, but soon more customers started coming in. Some women also came in, so it seems like a casual place to dine. Lately, they seem to only be open for dinner. I usually order fried rice and dumplings, but today I tried the miso ramen and half fried rice set, which was a good deal. The ramen was average, but sometimes you just crave that typical ramen from a local Chinese restaurant. The fried rice was delicious. I should have just ordered the full fried rice instead of the half portion!笑

I didn't watch the broadcast of the Bananaman Gourmet Introduction Restaurant, but I searched on Twitter and visited. Since I was alone, I ordered two of the recommended dishes (I'll try the hot pot next time...). The portions were huge and very delicious. The hot and sour soup noodles weren't too spicy and I think anyone can enjoy them. They had ingredients like tofu, enoki mushrooms, and chicken (?). The fried dumplings were... really delicious! They had a sauce that was almost like a gravy, and it was a guilty pleasure kind of taste. The prices were a bit high, but I'm satisfied because it was so delicious!

On a scorching hot day in Tokyo with temperatures exceeding 37 degrees, I stopped by a restaurant near Yoyogi Station A2 for lunch. The first floor was almost full, so I was directed to go upstairs through a narrow staircase. I had originally planned to order shrimp fried rice and dumplings, but it was too hot on the second floor. Suddenly, I changed my order to the restaurant's specialty, cold noodles, even though it didn't make much sense. Other customers were also sweating while eating hot noodles at their tables! I ate my cold noodles while fanning myself with a fan, waiting for the dumplings. If the restaurant was this hot, I should have just left. The cold noodles arrived first, with steamed chicken, cucumber, seaweed, shredded omelette, and thinly sliced char siu. The chicken was tough and rubbery, the sauce was just average. I couldn't understand why this was considered the restaurant's specialty. When I finished the noodles, the dumplings arrived - six large dumplings filled with plenty of garlic. Well, in such a hot environment, everything tasted bad, so it's probably best to avoid dining here in the summer.

During a regular lunchtime visit around 11:30, the restaurant was about 10% full. Although the location is great, just a 30-second walk from JR Yoyogi Station, I felt a bit uneasy due to the lack of customers during lunchtime. Upon entering, staff members sprayed alcohol on customers' hands as a mandatory measure, even if customers had not sanitized their hands. Those with alcohol sensitivity should probably avoid entering. It seemed like refusal to sanitize was not an option, which felt a bit excessive in terms of COVID-19 precautions. The food arrived about 10 minutes after ordering, as the kitchen and service staff seemed to be working efficiently with 3 staff members each. I ordered the soy sauce ramen and half fried rice set from the lunch menu for ¥950. The soy sauce ramen had yellow, slightly wavy thin noodles with a gentle flavor in the soup, which felt light and easy on the stomach. The fried rice had ingredients like egg, pork, and pickled vegetables, with a mild seasoning but slightly greasy. It's worth noting that you can only order half fried rice with lunch menu items, not with other ramen dishes. Overall, I tried this place out once, but I don't plan on returning.

I visited during the day on a weekday. It's right in front of Yoyogi Station. When I went around 1 pm, about 70% of the seats were taken, and there is also a second floor so the restaurant is quite spacious. I ordered fried rice, dumplings, and sweet and sour pork (no photo). The simple fried rice was incredibly delicious, and the other dishes were also of high quality. It's a great place for a daytime drink.

Leek and liver stir-fry [880 yen], steamed rice [200 yen], beer [750 yen] at Sansuiro after a long time. My favorite Jyukei tofu was not available, but the atmosphere inside the restaurant was just the same. The leek and liver dish was too much for one person, but I managed to finish it somehow, leaving some beer behind. It felt like it could serve three people. At 8 pm, there were quite a few women and men dining alone, making it easy to get a table. It's inexpensive, delicious, and highly recommended.

Today I was in the mood for Chinese food in town, so I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm on a weekday as usual and ordered the set menu which is always a good deal. Today I felt like having fried rice and grilled dumplings. The dumplings were delicious and the fried rice was also tasty. I have had not so great fried rice and dumplings at other places recently, but today's meal was delicious. The service was not very friendly, the floor was greasy, but it had that typical town Chinese restaurant vibe.

I casually walked into a Chinese restaurant in the student district, where customers of all ages and genders were chatting lively. The pork, wood ear mushrooms, and eggs mixed together perfectly. I scooped it up with a ladle onto the five-ingredient fried rice and put it in my mouth. It was so delicious! Ah, it was so tasty! A moment of bliss. Thank you very much! I put my hands together and said, "Thank you for the meal." Ebisu Shime.

[Visit Reason] I have always been curious about the Chinese restaurant that catches my eye as soon as I exit the west exit of Yoyogi Station, so I decided to visit while I had some business in Yoyogi. [Order Details] - Kari Rousu Teishoku (Beef with curry sauce set meal) - Gyoza (dumplings) - Yun Bai Rou (Cloud White Meat) [Impressions] The female staff member (likely from a foreign country) was unfriendly in her service. But that's okay (^ー^) I understand that she may be busy, but the way she noisily and haphazardly placed the dishes on the table was a bit chaotic. It felt like a typical Chinese restaurant experience, which was amusing. In my experience, Chinese restaurants with unfriendly foreign female staff tend to be delicious, so my expectations were raised without reason... I was especially looking forward to the "Cloud White Meat." It was recommended on the outdoor sign and even had a tagline like "our specialty," so my expectations were even higher. However, the "Cloud White Meat"... Hmm... I could eat it, but to be honest, it was at a level that could easily be replicated at home. Actually, it might even be tastier if made at home... It felt like cheap pork shabu-shabu meat quickly boiled, and the vegetables seemed wilted. The sauce had a slightly unique flavor, but it wasn't delicious. I wonder why they added the tagline "our specialty"... Honestly, I couldn't help but think that the name "Cloud White Meat" was a bit questionable... It cost 800 yen per plate. It might be a portion meant to be shared among multiple people, but considering the taste, it felt "quite expensive." Some might say "don't expect too much from a typical Chinese restaurant dish"... but I think typical Chinese restaurant dishes have a taste that is hard to replicate at home... That's why we sometimes crave them, right? If it could be easily replicated at home, I wouldn't go out to eat it... Convenience is also a key point... Well... I've expressed my personal views on various things, but other than the Cloud White Meat, the other dishes were delicious. In particular, the Kari Rousu Teishoku (950 yen) had a good volume and was very satisfying to eat. It felt like a good deal, and the crunchy texture of the onions was nice. I couldn't believe the price difference of just 150 yen between the Kari Rousu Teishoku and the Cloud White Meat. It made me think, "I see...," and I reflected on various things. Thank you for the meal.

Last time I had the ramen set for lunch, and today I came to have the popular hot and sour noodles for lunch. I arrived a little after 12:00 on a weekday and was seated right away. However, I had to wait quite a bit for my order as it overlapped with the previous group's order. Well, timing is everything. I ordered the hot and sour noodles for 950 yen. I also wanted to have half fried rice, but they couldn't change the ramen lunch set to hot and sour noodles. They reassured me that the portion was generous, so I decided to focus on the hot and sour noodles today. The dish that was served had a hot and sour sauce with egg, enoki mushrooms, ham, and bamboo shoots on top, drizzled with chili oil, looking delicious. The sauce was still hot and tasty. The flavor was just right with a good balance of sourness and spiciness, making it easy to eat and delicious. I did sweat quite a bit from the heat and spiciness, but it was a satisfying meal with plenty of ingredients. It's understandable that the restaurant is in a prime location near the station, but I wish the prices were a bit lower for a local Chinese restaurant. Nevertheless, it was delicious, and I would like to eat here again!

I went to Sansuirou in front of Tokyo Yoyogi Station. This is a long-established Chinese restaurant popular in the town. I arrived early but it was almost full, so I was seated on the second floor just in time. They had a special set menu today, which included half-sized miso ramen and soy sauce ramen for 950 yen. The fried rice was sticky and delicious, just the way I like it. The food was tasty, filling, and very satisfying.

I finally had the chance to visit this restaurant on weekends and holidays. They serve authentic Chinese ramen and set meals that will fill you up. The photo shows dishes like Shredded Pork with Green Pepper Noodles, Mapo Tofu Noodles, and Gyoza! The thin noodles are easy to eat and the combination of sauce and soup creates just the right flavor, it was really delicious. The gyoza has a thick and chewy skin with a strong garlic flavor. They are maybe 1.5 times bigger than usual. I heard that you can also have parties on the second floor. The set meals also looked delicious - I would love to go back again!

My sister wanted to go, so we visited Sansuiro. We ordered fried dumplings, stir-fried mushrooms and eggs, sweet and sour pork, and shrimp fried rice. The quality and quantity at Sansuiro are always satisfying. The fried dumplings come in a set of 6, with a perfect balance of sweet vinegar sauce and crispy yet chewy dumpling skin. The stir-fried mushrooms and eggs were delicious and I finished them quickly. The sweet and sour pork was just as good as last time, with a tasty miso sauce that really brings out the flavor. The vegetables were still crunchy and fresh. All of this paired well with rice and sake. The shrimp fried rice was a pleasant surprise with a generous amount of shrimp and great flavor.

On the first Friday of March 2023, I woke up feeling like miso ramen. Specifically, I was craving Showa-style miso ramen with a chicken broth base. I didn't mind if it didn't have many vegetables. I decided to visit a popular ramen shop near Yoyogi Station that opened at 11:30 am. When I arrived five minutes before opening, I noticed there were already four people lined up outside. I quickly joined the line. As soon as the shop opened, a staff member sprayed alcohol at the entrance and guided us to a table on the right side as there was no counter. The table seats filled up quickly, and those who arrived three minutes after opening were directed to the second floor. It was clear that this was a highly popular spot. With only one staff member managing the floor, service was a bit slow. After placing my order, I waited for my dish called "Miso Sansui Men" priced at 950 yen. It was a miso version of ramen with pork ribs, based on the popular Sansui Men with soy sauce broth. The dish took a bit longer to arrive, likely due to the pork ribs. The miso broth was light and didn't have any stir-fried vegetables like bean sprouts. The pork ribs were submerged in the broth, and the coating had somewhat dissolved by the time it arrived. The ramen included menma, corn, green vegetables, a flavored egg, and chopped green onions, creating a beautiful contrast of colors. The noodles were thin and cooked al dente, appealing to modern tastes. The pork ribs were well-marinated with a nostalgic curry flavor. The seasoned egg was pleasantly salty and perfectly runny inside. A slight spiciness from chili oil complemented the sweet miso broth, making it a delightful combination. The ramen warmed me up on the still chilly day, and I left satisfied, planning to visit again.

I went to a popular Chinese restaurant called "Sansuirou" located right by the west exit of Yoyogi Station. This time, I ordered the "Kari Niku Setai" which came with finely sliced meat, onions, and wood ear mushrooms stir-fried in a curry-like sauce, served on a plate with rice, soup, pickles, and almond jelly. At first, I ate the stir-fry with chopsticks, but then I tried scooping it onto the rice and eating it like curry, and it transformed into a delicious hot curry rice with plenty of finely sliced meat! I used to think that curry at Chinese restaurants was just a regular curry or made with Chinese soup, or sprinkled with Sichuan pepper, but this "Kari Niku Setai" at this restaurant felt like a curry rice derived from Chinese cuisine (青椒肉絲). It had a satisfying amount of meat, and most importantly, it was deliciously prepared! This fusion dish ended up being a multiplication dish, and I thought it was a great idea! ^^

I went to try the famous deep-fried dumplings. It's right in front of Yoyogi Station. I had the deep-fried dumplings and fried rice. They were delicious with plenty of sweet vinegar sauce. The fried rice was light and fluffy, easy for women to eat. The pork shabu-shabu with spicy leek sauce looked really tasty, so I'll try it next time for a night out! -------Sansuiro Tokyo, 1-33-4 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo-------

This is a long-established restaurant in the Yoyogi area with a history of about 60 years. In recent years, "local Chinese cuisine" has been gaining attention, but this is the real deal local Chinese cuisine! With its red signboard, wax figures at the storefront, and seemingly blunt but actually thoughtful and pleasant service... it's a great place. My go-to lunch is always the dumplings (exquisite) and rice (with a bottle of beer). Watching the wide show on the TV hanging from the ceiling with the waitress in the hall, I can fully enjoy the comfort of everyday life in the local area. I hope they will continue to support the daily life of Yoyogi for a long time. Thank you very much as always. Bon appétit. P.S. I was worried when they temporarily closed during the pandemic. After reopening, that antique-like cash register had been replaced with a state-of-the-art one. I wonder where that old register went?
