I had lunch at a restaurant located next to the Karasumori Shrine in Shinbashi. There was only one seat available at the counter, so I was able to sit down right away. However, the beaver set meal was already sold out for the day, so I had to choose something else from the menu. I ended up ordering the grilled meat set meal. The flavor was good and the rice went well with it, although it was a bit on the salty side. I enjoyed eating it with the cabbage. Rice refills are apparently free, but I didn't get one since I couldn't eat that much. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I came to this project and was amazed! There are still so many things in the world that I don't know about. The pork ginger stir-fry in the beaver set meal was sold out, so I had the pork sauté instead! It seems to be inspired by the pork sauté served at Daisu Shokudo in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture! The portion was generous, the flavor was rich and I loved it, the rice went down well. Many people were drinking at lunchtime, so I was influenced and ordered some alcohol too! I am so happy and it's the best ( ◠‿◠ ) I hope this restaurant does well! (⌒▽⌒)

I visited during the 11 o'clock hour on a regular day. The store seemed to have just opened as there was only one other customer. I was offered a seat at the counter, but there were also seats available on the second floor. I ordered the pork sauté and an iced coffee drink set. The pork sauté was incredibly delicious. The flavor was a bit strong, making it very appetizing. The service was friendly and polite, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant had an old house feel but was very clean and had a lot of cleanliness. It might have been because of the scorching heat when I visited, or maybe I just chose a bad spot to sit, but I felt quite hot inside the restaurant and was sweating the whole time. However, it was probably just me, as others didn't seem to have the same experience. I would like to go back again.

Taste: ★★★★☆ Portion: ★★★☆☆ Cost performance: ★★★☆☆ It's great that you can eat the famous dish in Tokyo! Considering the transportation cost to Gunma, the price is reasonable! It would be enjoyable if they regularly change their menu. It would be nice to see them expand with themes like "The Solitary Gourmet Diner" or "Ghibli Menu Diner" in the future. The young staff are also polite and aiming to be a good restaurant! Trying all the dishes would be a fun challenge!

Uson Zetsumeshi Shokudo @ Shinbashi Beaver Teishoku (Kanikoro and Ginger Pork) ¥1000 It seems like they are reproducing the taste of the legendary restaurant "Kitchen Beaver". Previously it was a menchi katsu set meal, but it seems to have changed to Kanikoro and ginger pork. Other menu items also seem to have been reviewed. The ginger pork is thinly sliced pork similar to cutlet with a strong soy sauce flavor that goes well with rice. The meat is tender as it is coated with flour, but it absorbs a lot of the sauce, making the soy sauce flavor quite intense. It would be better if they finished it with a slightly lighter sauce, it's a bit of a shame. The Kanikoro is coated with a crispy batter on a creamy bechamel. The seasoning is light, so you eat it with the sauce. I'm not sure if it's the "taste of a famous restaurant", but it's a reasonable set meal with free extra rice. Thank you for the meal. #Shinbashi #ShinbashiLunch #ZetsumeshiShokudo #KitchenBeaver #Tabelog

I had been curious about this set meal restaurant. I thought they only served set meals during lunchtime, so I ordered a set meal with a lemon sour. As I was enjoying my meal, some foreign customers arrived and ordered items like fried chicken and sausage wrapped in meat (?!) from the regular menu. I confirmed with the restaurant that lunch menu is only available during lunchtime, while the regular menu is available all the time. This was great news. I will definitely come back next time for a daytime drink. The set meal was generous and the rice was delicious. The ginger pork was especially tasty. The dessert, a pudding, was firm, sweet, and very delicious. They also served coffee with care. It was a feast. Thank you.

I went to the Uzumeshi Shokudo in Shinbashi on April 4th. I ordered the Yakiniku set meal for 1100 yen, but it was too salty for my taste. The Ajifry was already sold out by 12:10. Next time, I'll try the Ajifry or Menchikatsu instead.

Next to Shinbashi Karasumori Shrine, there is a bar called Karasumori Hyakuyaku, which is known for its lunch service under the name "Zetsumeshi Shokudo". I remember, wasn't it called something else before...? "Zetsumeshi" refers to a menu item from a restaurant that has closed down, but people want to keep alive. Therefore, the lunch here is a respectful imitation of a famous dish from a closed restaurant. For example, the Menchi Katsu Set Meal is a revival of the Menchi Katsu Set Meal from the now-closed Kitchen Beaver in Kanda in 2020. I can't judge the accuracy of the reproduction since I'm not familiar with the original, but the Menchi Katsu was soft, juicy, and not too heavy, paired with a half-cooked egg, which was a tempting combination. Simple and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

▪️Shop Name: "Uso Zetsu Meshi Shokudou" ("Uso Zetsu Meshi" refers to gourmet dishes that may disappear in the future due to a lack of successors. It started as a promotion in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, and became a "Zetsu Meshi" project that was turned into books and TV dramas. In this restaurant, recipes from various Zetsu Meshi restaurants across the country are taught directly by the owner (or the menu is purchased), and then recreated and served at the restaurant in Shinbashi, Tokyo. Part of the menu sales is returned to the original restaurant that provided the recipe without the customer's knowledge. I visited this restaurant casually for lunch without knowing any of this. I arrived around 12:30 pm and was able to enter immediately. I was seated at the counter. ✂︎┈┈┈┈┈┈Ordered Items┈┈┈┈┈┈ ☑︎ Yakiniku Don (Fuji Hisa Shokudo, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture) @ 1100 yen ☑︎ Classic Pudding @ 500 yen ✂︎┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ I was in the mood for meat, so I ordered the Yakiniku Don and was surprised to see pudding on the menu, so I also ordered that. While waiting, I admired the glass of water that had "Alcohol is an anesthetic for enduring the surgery called life" written on it. The Yakiniku Don arrived in about 8 minutes. It was generously topped with meat, onions, pickled ginger, and a sweet and savory sauce. The meat was tender, flavorful, and paired well with the rich and sweet sauce, making the rice disappear quickly. By the end of the meal, I was very satisfied and full. Afterward, the Classic Pudding arrived with warm tea. It looked lovely on its stand, shining. The pudding had a rich eggy flavor, creamy texture, and the caramel sauce had a good depth and richness. It was a large portion, so I could adjust my intake while enjoying it. The staff engaged in natural conversations and there seemed to be many regular customers. I heard that it's also delicious at night, so I'll consider it for a drinking party. I enjoyed my meal! Uomori Shrine in front of Shinbashi Station. This shop, which can be said to be part of the shrine grounds, has been featured in various media. I have used this shop at night several times, but this was my first time for lunch. The pork sauté rice that I was looking forward to was already sold out, so I had to postpone it to next time. This time, I ordered the "yakiniku don" (grilled meat bowl). It had a sweet taste of onions and a strong ginger flavor, similar to ginger pork, which made the rice go down smoothly. It was delicious. Next time, I will try the pork sauté. I would like to have a rematch! Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is facing the risk of disappearing as there is no successor. However, if more restaurants like this one are established, traditional dishes and cultural heritage may be preserved. Today, I had the Pork Sauteed Rice at this restaurant. The appearance was meaty and the flavor was intense. The meat was chewy with a traditional texture, reminiscent of the Tonkatsu I used to eat as a child. The sauce was thick and slightly sweet, a perfect accompaniment to rice. By the end of the meal, my jaw was a bit tired, but I felt satisfied and content. It made me ponder about the possibility of extinction. It was truly delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I finally had the chance to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while, as they only open for lunch. I was looking forward to trying the pork sauté. The thick pork slices with a rich sauce were delicious and went well with the rice. The portion size was generous and satisfying, but the sauce became a bit heavy towards the end, so I wished there was something to change up the flavor. The evening atmosphere seemed like a nice bar or izakaya, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It felt like a lovely space with many regular customers. There were also people using it as a café, making it a hidden gem where you can take a breather in the backstreets of Shinbashi. All the lunch menu items looked delicious, so you can't go wrong with any choice! I look forward to visiting again when the timing is right!

I visited this restaurant for lunch on a regular day. It is located along the approach to Uson Shrine, I think. It seems to offer various specialties from different shops, but I got the impression that it specializes in Western cuisine. The interior of the restaurant is small, with a counter and one table seat. This time, I ordered the "Menchi Katsu Set (Menchi Katsu with fried egg) for 1,000 yen." Since there was no photo on the menu, I was curious about how it would be served, but it came on an old school lunch tray (silver color). The atmosphere is reminiscent of a classic coffee shop and is quite charming. The Menchi Katsu was delicious and meaty. It was so filling that I thought, "If there was a photo, I would have asked for a smaller portion of rice." The restaurant is conveniently close to Shinbashi Station, so I would like to try a different menu next time I visit.

On a Saturday afternoon after a human check-up, I walked from Marunouchi to Shinbashi and found a shop I had seen somewhere before. I was torn between the white omelette and the pork ginger dish, but I ended up ordering the Beaver set meal (cream croquette & pork ginger) for 1,000 yen and a draft beer. The total came to 1,550 yen. I paid with Rakuten Pay. The dishes were okay, with the ginger sauce for the pork ginger being the highlight. The croquette was pretty standard. It seemed like there were a lot of regular customers, and the atmosphere was nice with lively conversations. Most of the staff were women. I'd like to try the coffee brewed with a siphon next time.

I chose the Menchi Katsu set meal from the now-closed long-standing Western-style restaurant in Kanda, Kitchen Beaver, turning it into an excellent dish. The Menchi Katsu set meal consists of a large Menchi Katsu with a fried egg, cabbage salad, rice, and miso soup. The Menchi Katsu is large, with a crispy coating that encases the juicy richness of beef mince and the crunchy texture of onions. The smoothness of the egg yolk from the fried egg complements it perfectly. It was a simple and nostalgic taste experience. Menu Item: Menchi Katsu Set Meal (lunch) 1000 yen per person Enjoyment of this restaurant: "Zetameshi" refers to the precious gourmet dishes that have been beloved by locals and are too good to disappear with the changing times. This dining establishment reproduces and serves recipes from such "Zetameshi restaurants" that have been cherished for years, with a portion of the menu sales being returned to the original restaurant that shared the recipe. There are always around 8 types of "Zetameshi" set meals available. Order: The Menchi Katsu set meal from Kitchen Beaver costs 1000 yen. Atmosphere: A simple yet stylish eatery and izakaya near Karasumori Shrine. Information Source: WBS (World Business Satellite) broadcast on September 14, 2022. Thank you for the delicious meal~

Hi! "Garlic-packed stamina dish" ... Huh? Stand in the hallway? I was wrong, it's "endangered dish" ... Correctly, it is a gourmet dish that is on the verge of extinction due to a lack of successors and the aging of the owner. The "Karasu Mori Endangered Dish Dining" aims to eat this endangered dish in Tokyo and support endangered dish restaurants with a portion of the sales. It's not just something that looks like it, but it's actually passed down from authentic endangered dish restaurants. From my youth in Karasu Mori, one, two, three... The restaurant is located about 200 steps from the main street of Karasu Shrine, with a white curtain fluttering in the wind with black letters saying "Welcome! Thank you for coming." The most popular dish may be the pork sauté from "Taishu Shokudo Tomi," which has also appeared on the Endangered Dish Road. However, as a fan of rice bowl dishes, I ordered the "Yakiniku Don" for 1,100 yen from "Fuji Hisa Shokudo." The Yakiniku Don from Fuji Hisa Shokudo, one of the oldest restaurants in the endangered dish category, is truly amazing. When the covered Yakiniku Don arrived, I opened the lid and the smell of grilled meat and sauce immediately invaded my nostrils. When I took a bite, it exceeded my expectations. The rice under the grilled meat was soaked with Fuji Hisa Shokudo's secret sauce, which was rich, sweet, and savory, similar to eel sauce. The main attraction, the grilled meat, had a charcoal aroma and was topped with crunchy onions. Each bite was incredibly delicious. The grilled meat was plentiful, and the rice was generously portioned. You can also ask for a free extra-large serving. With the bowl covering it, every bite was satisfying. Thank you for the meal. "It's not a secret menu, but many customers order a raw egg to pour over it." Please tell me sooner! The endangered dish restaurant is not only "on the verge of extinction" but also "popular yet on the verge of extinction," which is understandable. The menu also includes dishes like "Liver and Chinese Chive Stir-Fry" from Kaiou, "White Omurice" from Karasaki Shokudo, "Pork Sauté" from Taishu Shokudo Tomi, and "Minced Cutlet Set Meal" from Kitchen Beaver. The menu seems to change occasionally. Endangered Dish Road on the brink of extinction! The taste of that restaurant is here ↑ even though I didn't know about it before ===========

Shimbashi has many restaurants I want to try, but I rarely have the chance to go, so when I do, I like to go for lunch. I had a meeting in Shiodome at 2pm, so I decided to grab a bite before that. I finally got the chance to visit a restaurant that has inherited the recipe of its famous dish that you can no longer eat folded. The restaurant is located on the approach to Karasumori Shrine and has been renovated from an old house with a touch of elegance. The friendly atmosphere of the lady behind the counter made me feel relaxed even on my first visit. I ordered the pork sauté, which I had been curious about for a while. Although there were tempting dishes like fried horse mackerel, omelette rice, and grilled meat set, I stuck to my original choice. It was a satisfying dish with a good texture, chewiness, and filling. By the way, I managed to finish the cucumber, which I usually don't like.

The voluminous omurice was surprising! The white sauce was also surprising! I visited during lunchtime. The location is about a 5-minute walk from JR Yamanote Line Shinbashi Station. The restaurant seemed popular, but luckily there were 2 empty seats at the counter. I ordered the White Omurice for 900 yen and it was served in just a little over 5 minutes. While waiting, I looked around the restaurant. Many of the customers seemed to be regulars, chatting happily with the staff. [Visual] A large omurice with white sauce. The visual presentation was quite nice. [Omurice] First bite... delicious!? The taste was light and slightly bland. Personally, I found it difficult to eat without the sauce as it felt lacking in flavor. Although I appreciated the generous portion, I struggled without something to change up the taste. I felt a bit guilty, but ended up leaving some. They offered me additional condiments, but I found it a bit challenging to eat with them. After finishing, my overall impression was that eating the White Omurice was... okay. I thought I had chosen a popular menu item, but the regulars were ordering something different. Perhaps the other menu items are more delicious... I still enjoyed it to a certain extent!

The fried horse mackerel is large and thick, with a crispy texture that is not overcooked. The tartar sauce is served on a plate, while the thick sauce is served in a container. Soy sauce is also available if needed. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The only downside is that the shredded cabbage is underneath the fish, making it a bit difficult to eat. I would like to try the pork sautéed rice, but it seems a bit expensive at 1,500 yen. Maybe I'll try the beef bowl next time if they offer shichimi seasoning. The raw horse mackerel fried set meal costs 1,000 yen.
