"I was drawn to the 'Virtual Image Reversal Indiscriminate Space' (laughs) First, I checked in at the art shop before entering the store through a black curtain. However, ramen plus a drink costs 2200 yen. Wow, that's expensive! It seems like you can't just order a drink. Well, considering that the price includes an art experience and it's called 'Virtual Image Reversal Indiscriminate,' I thought we would be able to eat in a 360-degree teamLab-like environment, but it turns out only the 'ceiling' is like that... (laughs) Everything else is mirrored walls. Honestly, it's a bit disappointing... The visuals are the same the whole time. Monotonous. There's no sense of immersion in the space. We waited for about 15 minutes in a dimly lit space with healing music playing. We were told we could enter after 30 minutes, which was a good way to pass the time. When the ramen arrives, each person receives a spotlight. They use spotlights to illuminate the ramen. It's funny to watch (laughs) everyone eating their ramen under a spotlight (laughs). I thought it might get boring, but surprisingly, it was fine... And the ramen itself! It was incredibly delicious, I was surprised!! It exceeded my expectations by far!! It might be the most delicious ramen I've had this year. I never expected vegan ramen to be this delicious! Truly Tokyo. I understood the price after tasting it. It's seriously delicious. The thickly sliced grilled tomato on top surprisingly matched well with its texture and acidity! It had a substantial thickness, so there was a satisfying chew. The acidity of the tomato slightly changed the taste of the ramen soup, which was nice. The leaves on top were for decoration. Besides the green onions and simple toppings, the deliciousness of the basic ramen and soup overshadowed everything else. I didn't even notice much else because the ramen and soup were so delicious. I never thought vegan ramen could be this delicious. I wonder what kind of broth they used? It had a rich taste that didn't seem plant-based at all. There was no strange smell or lack of flavor, just the perfect taste I love. By the way, if you don't eat in this space, you should be able to eat for about 800 yen cheaper. There is also a ramen counter at the back, and it's cheaper there (1320 yen). Here, the price includes the space and drink. However, eating in such a dimly lit place is not common, and perhaps because I didn't rely on my sense of sight much, my sense of taste felt very sharp. In that sense, it was good to eat here with this strange experience. It was a very memorable ramen shop. It was a great way to pass the time! It was fun! A drink is also included. The stick hojicha tea was delicious! Thank you for the meal!!"

This place is more of a restaurant to appreciate TeamLab's visual art rather than to have a meal. They do have a vegan tantanmen, but for ramen lovers, there are complaints about the weak punch of the kelp and shiitake mushroom soup, as well as the lack of flavor in the mini tomato instead of the flavored egg. Half of the meal cost goes towards the ticket fee for admiring the art pieces inside the restaurant, so it's considered expensive if you think of it as just a meal.

Visited a vegan ramen restaurant on May 4, 2023, after hearing about it and being interested. It seemed to be located in a single-story building just past the entrance to what looked like a theme park pavilion. Upon entering the restaurant, I tried to head towards the back, but wasn't sure if that was the right way. I asked the person in the small exhibition area next to the entrance, and they explained that I needed to place my order and pay before entering. It would have been helpful to have this information clearly displayed at the entrance. I looked at the menu and was told that only miso ramen was available at the moment. To dine in, I needed to purchase a set with noodles and a drink for 2680 yen. If I only wanted noodles, I could buy them from the outdoor sales area but couldn't dine inside, so I had to eat outside on a bench or somewhere similar. I was surprised by the high price of 2500 yen for a meal inside the restaurant. I decided to order for takeaway, which still cost me 1800 yen. While I understand that vegan ramen can be expensive, I couldn't help but compare it to other places where a similar bowl costs around 1200-1300 yen. Despite my initial concerns, the ramen was delicious. The soup, made with soy milk and miso, was flavorful and easy to enjoy. It had a satisfying richness without being too oily. I couldn't help but wonder what the soy sauce-based ramen, which they used to serve, tasted like. The accompanying cherry tomatoes and broccoli were also tasty and added to the overall experience. However, eating hot ramen outdoors under the scorching sun was uncomfortable. Even though there was a strong breeze that day, it still felt like a bit of a torture. I wish the price had been more reasonable considering the outdoor dining situation, but perhaps it's because the restaurant is located near a theme park and caters to tourists. Most of the people around me were foreign tourists. Overall, it was a very delicious bowl of ramen. If it were more affordable and conveniently located, I would love to eat it every day for its potential health benefits. Thank you for the meal.

I wasn't expecting much from vegan ramen, but it was really delicious. It's amazing that you can make such tasty ramen without using any animal products. Both the soy sauce and miso flavors had a rich depth and were not boring. They were both so good that I couldn't decide which one to choose next time. It may be understandable since it's vegan, but the prices are high. The donuts were also delicious without being too heavy. Thank you for the meal. I would like to come back again.

Before entering, fill your stomach. Enjoyed the vegan ramen at teamLab's artwork "虚像反転無分別". The dish is also part of the experience. Vegan miso ramen. What I thought was chashu in the photo turned out to be sliced onions. #vegan #ramen #UZU #veganramenuzu

This is vegan ramen located within teamLab's premises. You can choose to take out or dine in. The interior is Instagrammable but the prices are surprisingly high due to the event. Starting from 2,200 yen for ramen and tea, with a 40-minute wait at the time. I went there out of curiosity. Eating ramen under spotlights in a dimly lit room felt like art rather than just enjoying the taste. The flaming ramen was quite spicy, with large tomatoes on top of flat noodles.

After playing a lot at TeamLab Planets, we stopped by this café to cool off. It was quite a hot day, so our throats were dry. We wanted to have some sweets and drinks, but the prices were a bit high. However, the selection was quite stylish, maybe because they put effort into it. They had about 4 types of ice cream, ranging from around 600 yen. Coconut was a common flavor, but the pink rhubarb flavor was not something you hear often. I think this is unique to vegan food. As for drinks, there were quite a variety, and I tried a unique green tea with the flavor of Japanese pepper. Japanese pepper is usually used on eel, but in this tea, it added a spicy accent rather than a taste. It turned out to be a spicy drink with a refreshing kick, perfect for a hot day. It felt really good and was soothing for the throat. It seems like it would be great for preventing summer fatigue...haha. I heard that the main store is in Kyoto, and I would like to visit it if I have the chance.

I got hungry on the way back from teamLab Planets, so I decided to try the vegan ramen. It had a rich flavor and was delicious. Although it didn't have the flower blooming effect like teamLab Borderless, it was nice to have the place to ourselves and enjoy the meal. My daughter really liked the individual soy sauce ramen, saying it was the best she's ever had. The price is a bit high considering the ambiance, but I would definitely try it again when I visit teamLab. The miso flavor was spicier than expected due to the strong Sichuan pepper, so I'm glad I didn't go for the limited edition super spicy option. I look forward to trying the chilled flower ramen when it gets hot.

Today's holiday lunch was here. Invited by the warm early spring sunshine, I took a walk in Toyosu, where there is the sea. Along the way, I stopped by here. Vegan Ramen UZU Tokyo is located on the premises of "teamLab Planets" in Toyosu. It's on my favorite walking route, so I've been checking it out frequently, but this was my first time visiting for a meal. My wife and I wanted to try the vegan ramen for takeout, so we visited. We ordered the Vegan Ramen Shoyu for 1,320 yen at the order counter facing the teamLab Planets building with a young male staff member. My wife chose the miso flavor. We received a buzzer and waited on a bench. This bench, with its curved and flat surfaces overlapping, is called the "connected bench." It can be sat on and also serves as a table. This time, we decided to eat our meal using this connected bench. The buzzer rang 13 minutes later. We were kept waiting a bit. We received the ramen on a stainless steel tray and returned to the bench. Now, this vegan ramen, which I saw for the first time, had a clear soup despite its dark soy sauce color. The flat noodles underneath the soup were visible. The toppings on the noodles were roasted tomatoes, diced onions on top of them, and red-purple sprouts on top. Since it's vegan, there was no chashu. It looked simple yet beautiful. After taking a long smartphone photo, we started eating the ramen. The soup is made by brewing Rausu kelp, shiitake mushrooms, and vegetables in cold water and then simmering at a low temperature without using animal ingredients. The rich umami taste was surprisingly impressive. Traditional soy sauce is used for the kaeshi. The flavored oil adds a unique taste to the soup. The homemade flat medium noodles paired with this soup had a smooth texture with just the right amount of chewiness. It was of higher quality than expected. I took a bite of the roasted tomato midway. It added acidity and umami to the ramen, allowing me to enjoy a different flavor. My wife, who had the miso ramen, seemed very satisfied with it after a long time. The noodles used in her miso ramen were wider flat noodles compared to the soy sauce noodles, and they seemed to be carefully made. I felt a deep richness that I wouldn't expect from vegan food. My apologies.

Miso ramen has firm noodles with a unique Chinese flavor from red onions and spices, but it still has good umami. Although soy sauce ramen has a deeper taste, compared to some not-so-tasty regular ramen, I think miso ramen is on the delicious side.

When I visited teamLab, I hadn't eaten yet so I stopped by here. It had been a while and I thought I'd try something interesting, so I ordered the dish in the photo with my companion and we shared it halfway. It was flower ramen, and you might wonder about the taste. However, it was surprisingly delicious. I did feel a slight tremor in my hand when putting the flowers in my mouth, but it was okay. At the end, I was told to add sparkling rose water to the remaining broth and drink it, which turned out to be good. It had a scent like lotion when pouring it into the cup, and I was a bit hesitant, but it was surprisingly tasty with a nice aftertaste. It's a unique dish worth trying. Thank you for the meal.

・Vegan Ramen Shoyu: 3.5 The soy sauce flavor is strong with a hint of garlic. Despite not using animal-based broth, it still has good umami, possibly enhanced by the garlic and a bit of spiciness. The noodles are medium-thick and have a smooth texture. The toppings include tomato and green onions, which are decent, but it feels like something is missing without chashu. ・Vegan Ramen Miso: 3.5 The miso flavor is quite spicy, but the garlic adds a punch to make up for the lack of animal-based ingredients. The noodles are thick and flat, providing a satisfying chewiness. Toppings include sliced onions, green onions, and maybe garlic sprouts. The strong onion flavor stands out, giving an overall well-made impression. However, the value for money is not great, and it doesn't surpass regular non-vegan ramen.

"Vegan Ramen UZU Tokyo" opened in Toyosu on October 8th. It is the second store following Kyoto, located just a 1-minute walk from Shintoyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line. The restaurant is situated within the premises of teamLab Planets TOKYO, but can be accessed by non-teamLab visitors as well. Upon entering the spacious grounds, you will see a large tower resembling flames. To the right, the standalone building of "UZU Tokyo" stands. Inside the premises, there are tables and benches created by teamLab, and dining is primarily outdoors. You can also enter the indoor dining area from the back of the building, which features the artwork space "Impermanent and Insensible World" with an additional fee. The ramen menu includes: "Vegan Ramen Shoyu" for 1320 yen, "Vegan Ramen Miso (Spicy)" for 1320 yen, "Vegan Ramen Tea" for 1650 yen, and "Vegan Ramen Flower (Cold)" for 1980 yen. Additionally, there are various drinks and vegan ice cream available. You order the ramen at the counter, receive a buzzer, and wait nearby. After receiving your order, you can enjoy your meal at the art piece "Long Table for Sky and Fire," made of reflective surfaces. The "Vegan Ramen Shoyu" for 1320 yen is served in a tall bowl with roasted tomatoes, green onions, and a simple presentation. The soup, made without animal or seafood products, has a rich broth that is surprisingly flavorful and vibrant, making it hard to believe it is vegan. The soup is prepared by steeping Rausu kelp and domestic shiitake mushrooms with onions, celery, ginger, and garlic for 12 hours, then simmered at low temperature. The celery and ginger provide a delightful accent to the broth. The noodles are chewy and medium-thick, made from Hokkaido wheat and pesticide-free whole wheat flour from Aya Town, Miyazaki Prefecture. As you progress through the meal, crushing the thick roasted tomatoes adds acidity and sweetness, enhancing the colorful broth. Despite initially expecting an art-focused experience, the ramen itself was unexpectedly delicious. Dining outdoors may be weather-dependent, but on sunny days, it offers a fantastic and open atmosphere. Overall, the unique vegan ramen experience in an extraordinary setting left me thoroughly satisfied."

I visited "Vegan Ramen UZU Tokyo," which recently opened just a 1-minute walk from Shin-Toyosu Station. This is the second location of Kyoto's vegan ramen shop, located within the teamLab Borderless complex, making it accessible to visitors and non-visitors alike. Orders are placed at the counter and it is mainly a standing-style eatery, but there are benches available for use as well. The "Virtual Image Reversal Unrestrained" indoor exhibit incurs an additional fee, but it offers a fantastical experience in true teamLab style. Since the weather was nice, I chose to enjoy my meal at the mirror-like "Long Table for Sky and Fire" in the center. I selected the limited edition "Vegan Ramen Hana (cold/1980 yen)" out of the four options available! This unique ramen features 6-7 types of edible flowers from Kajitani Farm, creating an incredibly beautiful dish. The soup, which has a subtle acidity, paired with the smooth noodles and the delicate floral aroma, exceeded all expectations of vegan cuisine. I savored every last drop, even finishing the soup with the provided rose water soda. It's a dish that makes you feel like you're becoming more beautiful from the inside out.

Located within the premises of teamLab Planets in Toyosu, "Vegan Ramen UZU Tokyo" opened on October 8, 2021, offering vegan ramen inspired by Kyoto. I ordered the Vegan Ramen Hana (cold), and it was such a visually stunning dish! The presentation reminded me of teamLab's "Floating Flower Garden" with edible flowers from Kajitani Farm elegantly garnishing the ramen. This vegan ramen excludes all animal products such as meat and fish, focusing on the rich umami flavor of vegetables. Contrary to my initial expectation of a light broth, the ramen had a robust and fragrant taste, enhanced by the sharpness of ginger and the generous use of shiitake mushrooms. The base soup, made by simmering Rausu kelp and domestically sourced shiitake mushrooms with onions, celery, ginger, and garlic for 12 hours, had a perfectly balanced blend of umami, sweetness, and acidity. The white foam on top, representing clouds with lemon, the leaves, and flowers symbolizing a garden, and the hidden shiitake mushrooms mimicking soil, added an artistic touch to the dish. The homemade medium-thick noodles, made from Hokkaido wheat and organic pesticide-free whole wheat flour from Aya Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, had a delightful smooth texture and rich flavor. "Vegan Ramen UZU Kyoto," which opened in Kyoto in March 2020, garnered long queues of customers waiting for up to an hour. At "Vegan Ramen UZU Tokyo," you can enjoy vegan ramen in the immersive spaces of teamLab's new artworks such as "Reversible Rotation - Non-Objective Space" and "Table of Sky and Fire." In addition to the visually appealing "Hana," other vegan ramen options include Matcha Vegan Ramen, Shoyu Vegan Ramen, and Spicy Miso Vegan Ramen. I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the vegan ramen! The creamy vegan ice cream was also a delightful treat.

I tried the Vegan Ramen Shoyu. The clear soup had a surprising depth of flavor that didn't seem vegan at all. The homemade flat medium-thick noodles were chewy and had a great texture that paired well with the soup. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
