The tofu shinjo is delicious! The topping appears to be kyarabuki, which has a great texture. The tuna and pickled mackerel are fresh. I forgot to take a picture of the fried horse mackerel and tartar sauce, but it was excellent. The seasonings are carefully selected.

Introduced by an acquaintance and visited. Everything was made with care and was very delicious. There is a wide variety of alcohol options, the atmosphere is great, and the taste is excellent. The potato salad in particular was delicious. It may take some time for the food to be served since they are short-staffed, but it is a good place for those who don't mind waiting and want to relax while enjoying their drinks.

The white stew served as an appetizer is delicious. The bread and other side dishes provided are always tasty. I tried fried black beans for the first time and they are fragrant. This time, I was lucky to also enjoy Egguviv's galette des rois for New Year's.

After work, I visited a restaurant alone. I arrived around 9 pm at a cozy place with a counter and sunken kotatsu seating, with space for about 10 people. When I arrived, most seats were taken, but as I was deciding where to sit, a kind customer in the back said, "This seat is available." Everyone there was so kind, it was really touching. For my first drink, I ordered a classic beer. It was a perfect classic, but apparently only selected places are allowed to serve it, so some people come specifically for it. The appetizers were delicious, including simmered hamburger and three types of snacks. I was already full just from that (laughs). I struck up a conversation with the person next to me and asked for recommendations, and they said the oden was delicious, so I ordered hanpen and daikon. It's definitely the best for cold weather - warm and comforting. The staff were all very kind, and the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant attracts good customers, I guess. On my way out, they even gave me some oranges as a souvenir. I went home completely satisfied. Thank you for the feast.

After traveling to Sapporo for over 2 years every month, I have stopped going to the typical seafood and Genghis Khan restaurants, and now I tend to gravitate towards izakayas. This particular place had a good reputation that I had heard about for a while. We made a same-day reservation and were able to get a table since there were only two of us. The counter was also full when we arrived, showing how popular the place is. As soon as we sat down, I saw the mothers working there and felt a sense of comfort, which made me confident that today was going to be a good day. They looked cute in their yellow T-shirts. The appetizers that came out were of high quality and generous in portion, so if you were to visit as a second stop, these along with some drinks would be satisfying. On this day, since we were quite hungry, we ordered various dishes such as Genghis Khan, cod roe with wasabi, and gyoza. I was so relaxed that I didn't remember everything clearly, and I didn't take many photos either... They offer a variety of drinks from beer to shochu, sake, and more. Recently, there has been a mini-boom of izakayas in the Susukino and Tanukikoji areas, but this one is definitely a standout. Be careful, as you may feel like you've wandered into a relative's auntie's house.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night, and the town was quite busy with people walking around. We had made a reservation, but those without reservations were being turned away as the restaurant was almost full. We arrived at 7 pm, and started with some appetizers served in small containers. Everything was delicious. I was a bit hungry, so I ordered potato salad which was well seasoned. We also had dried fish and sashimi, accompanied by Hokkaido's Otoko Yamamoto Brewery's nama-zake. The atmosphere was calm, with conversations at a moderate level, and the service was just right. It was a classy adult drinking spot. There were some young people, but no one was loud or rowdy. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and cozy, making it very comfortable. It's always busy, so making a reservation is recommended! The friendly mama-san greets you with a kind smile. The dishes are nostalgic and reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Everything is delicious, especially the zangi (fried chicken) and potato salad.

Welcome. ---------- November 2021 ----------Located at 5-3 Minami 5 Nishi 3, along Minami 5-jo Street, in the 11th Green Building, 8th floor at the back. First off, take off your shoes before entering this retro Showa era space that doesn't quite fit the building. The counter seats are sunken into the floor, making it cozy. The staff, two ladies, manage the place with a warm and humble demeanor, creating a soothing atmosphere. The menu mainly consists of creative dishes, and the "Perfect Classic" was outstanding. We started with three items from the large plates on the counter: Potato and Macaroni Salad, Tuna Skewers, and Steamed Vegetables with minced radish sauce. The warm vegetable dish had a gentle and comforting flavor that older customers would appreciate. The highlight was the "Three Types of Goat Camembert Cheese Platter" sourced from a goat farm in Aurora Town, offering a rich and flavorful experience. I suddenly felt like having soft serve ice cream. The serene ambiance, as if time had stopped, combined with the smiles of the staff, including a high ratio of female customers, made the experience even more enjoyable.

On December 4, 2017, at 10:30 pm, I revisited the restaurant. I was lucky to find a seat at the center of the counter. The clientele still consisted of older customers, showing that this is a place loved by adults. It's the real deal. I ordered a Kirin Lager beer and a Oita's Okoge shochu, which had a roasted barley flavor. The appetizer platter included konjac and cod roe salad, simmered eggplant, and pork skewers. The dishes were selected by the owner, who asked if there were any preferences. Each dish was delicious, especially the meat and potato stew. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and there were no smoking customers that day, making the air clean. I loved it. The small dish was meat and potato stew.

On January 30, 2017, at 10:00 PM, I visited a cozy Japanese-style izakaya located on the 8th floor of the 11th Green Building in Sapporo, Chuo-ku, Minami 5-jo Nishi 3-chome. The place is diagonally across from the Slacker's batting center and next to Manryu. The entrance had sliding doors with white and light purple curtains. Inside, there were sunken kotatsu-style L-shaped counter seats where you could take off your shoes and sit comfortably. The counter displayed various side dishes in bowls. There was also a private room on the left where a group of elderly businessmen were having a party. It's a warm and welcoming atmosphere run by two sisters. I enjoyed a perfect Sapporo Classic draft beer and was treated to a glass of Taittinger champagne by the staff celebrating a recent birthday. The appetizer platter included potato salad, boiled greens, and tarako (cod roe) with konnyaku (yam cake). The simmered dish consisted of turnips, stuffed tofu pouches, ganko (deep-fried tofu), and rapeseed blossoms, all cooked in a light broth. The clientele seemed to be mostly middle-aged salarymen, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Overall, it was a great place with delicious food and a variety of drinks, perfect for dining alone. A highly recommended spot.

Susukino's Yukiguni Shokudo. It is advisable to make a reservation. Here, there is a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere. (Since the owner, a mother, is running the place alone, be prepared to wait leisurely). Appetizers come in sets of 3 + 1 (this is quite filling). If you inform them of your budget and what you want to eat in advance, the sake pairings will keep coming one after another (laughs). In addition to local sake and local ingredients, there are various other types of sake. The dishes are carefully prepared and all delicious. You can feel the owner's personality in them. I think this is one of the must-visit restaurants in Sapporo. It is not suitable for impatient people. It is more suited for those who can sit back and enjoy their drinks. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, a friend took me to this restaurant. It was around 7:00 pm on a weekday and there were two of us. The restaurant is located on the 8th floor of the 11th Green Building. When we entered, we were seated at the counter. There were a few other customers, mostly older men like myself. We ordered beer and it came with a generous serving of appetizers. The dishes were homely and delicious. It seems like a good place to come alone for a drink. I will definitely visit again.

A few colleagues from the company and I visited this restaurant for a "Thank you party". The organizer, R, was having a hard time deciding on a place to go. A stylish restaurant would make the ladies happy but not the men. A soba restaurant would please the men but not the ladies. A casual izakaya might not excite the younger crowd. After some searching on Google, we found a place in Susukino that seemed to have a good balance of price, atmosphere, and delicious food. We decided to give it a try!
- Appetizer (1): Fried eggplant with flavorful broth. The eggplant was perfectly fried and the broth was delicious.
- Appetizer (2): Assorted appetizers. The variety of appetizers was surprising and satisfying.
- Sashimi platter (market price): The sashimi was fresh and delicious, with a good amount of wasabi.
- Fried chicken: The hot and crispy fried chicken was a hit.
- Iburi-gakko cheese: A popular dish with smoked radish and cream cheese.
- Spicy cod roe rice ball: A large rice ball made with multigrain rice and spicy cod roe, served with a comforting soup.
Overall, the food was great and the private room was luxurious. We felt so comfortable that we even got a bit sleepy towards the end of the meal.

"I want to eat hot pot!" At a company drinking party, the idea of going to a restaurant based on the hot pot suggestion started. However, everyone else was more of a gourmet than me, so they quickly started discussing various ideas like "I wonder if Snow Country Dining has hot pot?" "Let's ask." It turns out that the restaurant does make hot pot, although it's not clear if it's on the menu. "I prefer a salt-based seafood hot pot," one senior colleague requested, and the restaurant staff kindly agreed to prepare it. The title of the review is that Snow Country Dining has private rooms right next to the entrance. I didn't know that! It's a complete private room that feels like grandma's house!! Just being there makes you feel like saying "Can I take off my shoes?" haha It's incredibly soothing! I apologize for not taking a photo of the lovely room. The table with the tree rings in the photo is wonderful, isn't it? Oh, since it's a private room, the staff is called with a bell sound like "ching ching"! (like a Bistro SMAP). We had appetizers, a hot pot with lots of ingredients, Snow Country Dining's famous potato salad, and drinks! The bill was calculated in a unique way, but considering the hot pot had no fixed price and we drank quite a lot, it was 5000 yen per person. The hot pot was filled with plenty of seafood and vegetables. It had oysters, octopus, cod, salmon... all the typical ingredients you would expect in a hot pot, plus seafood. The thick texture of the shiitake mushrooms was amazing. And the soup was so delicious, it might be the best hot pot I've ever had. I think this room can only be reserved for groups of 5 or more. It was spacious for 5 people, but that's how many we were. I highly recommend experiencing the "grandma's house vibe" of this room haha"
