I visited Hamachan on Monja Street in Tsukishima after a long time. It seems to be run by a mother and her son... I started with beer and menma. The gyoza had a good garlic flavor... The liver and leek stir-fry had a strong taste and went well with rice. I also tried the fried rice, which was delicious and easy to eat.

Despite being known for monjayaki, Tsukishima also has a solid Chinese restaurant. This time, I tried the ramen and half-fried rice. The ramen had a rich, Tokyo-style broth with noodles that soaked up the flavor well. I really enjoyed this bold seasoning and wished I had ordered a larger portion. The half-fried rice was also delicious, with a good seasoning and perfect level of frying. Both dishes were only 500 yen each. Highly recommended!

Today, I ordered the "Char Siu Ramen"! Looking at the menu, the prices are overall cheap! A bowl of ramen is only 500 yen. When the Char Siu Ramen arrived, I was surprised by the large bowl. It came with 3 slices of Char Siu. The soup was simple and delicious. The noodles were also good. The meal went smoothly and easily. Because of the reasonable prices, there were many customers at the shop. It's a small shop, so there may be a wait inside or outside.

The redevelopment of Tsukishima is still ongoing, and this particular shop relocated to its current location about 6 years ago. While the exterior has a modern and clean look, the interior still exudes a traditional atmosphere. I ordered the Chashu Ramen for the first time at this shop. The soup had a punchy saltiness, the noodles were slightly thick and chewy, creating a delicious combination. The chashu had a hint of sweetness and was tender and tasty. This ramen truly had the taste of a longstanding establishment, and it was a delicious bowl. ✨

Tsukishima's Chinese restaurant, Hamachan's Garlic Tanmen is a hearty dish that you might occasionally crave. It's packed with garlic flavor. The large bowl is filled with plenty of vegetables and pork, cooked to the perfect texture - either slightly crispy or tender. The slightly emulsified soup has a strong garlic taste that seeps into your body, complemented by the umami from the vegetables. The medium-thick Chinese noodles have a firm texture that holds up well against the robust garlic soup. The addition of chili oil adds a nice kick to the already punchy garlic soup. Garlic Tanmen - ¥850 Location: About a 5-minute walk from Tsukishima Station.

On a cold day, warm up to your core with a comforting lunch choice of ramen from a local Chinese restaurant! Today, I visited Tsukishima Hamachan and decided to go with their Tanmen. The milky white soup had a strong chicken broth flavor, with the essence of stir-fried vegetables melting into it. The noodles had a smooth texture with a nice chewiness, absorbing the delicious soup well. The plentiful vegetables included bean sprouts, cabbage, onions, and carrots, along with large crunchy wood ear mushrooms. The diced pork added a satisfying meaty element. The piping hot soup, when mixed with a bit of vinegar, became milder. After finishing the generous bowl of soup, my body felt warm and satisfied. This was definitely a great lunch choice! Tsukishima Hamachan always delivers consistent and delicious flavors.

I went at night. Stir-fried leeks and liver for 600 yen, small rice for 150 yen, total 750 yen. There was a lot of liver in it, but it had a slight smell and didn't make me want to eat it again. I think the one I made at home the other day might be tastier, haha. There was only one other customer, drinking alcohol casually.

I ordered half-fried rice and leek liver. The fried rice was delicious, even though I ordered a half portion, it was quite generous in size with egg, green onions, char siu, and naruto cut into small pieces that complemented the rice well. The seasoning was light compared to a nearby Chinese restaurant, probably due to the difference in oil and salt. Even though it was a half portion, it was satisfying. The soup was rich in soy sauce flavor. I would like to try their noodles next time. As for the leek liver, it felt a bit dry, but the crunchy vegetables helped to bring out the overall deliciousness. (I added vinegar to enhance the sweetness of the vegetables). Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Hama-chan" in Tsukishima after a long time, where the atmosphere of the town has changed due to redevelopment into buildings. I ordered the "Lebanira stir-fry" which is made with a lot of liver, balanced well with leeks and bean sprouts, and is delicious. The fried rice had a strong rice flavor, different from being fluffy or moist, but it was tasty. While Tsukishima is known for its okonomiyaki, I prefer looking for local Chinese restaurants or set meals. Thank you for the meal!

There are several Chinese restaurants such as Kenraku and Ikoma-ken in the Monja Street area of Tsukishima. Despite the friendly names, the restaurants have an intimidating appearance from the outside with windows that don't allow a glimpse inside. Summoning up a bit of courage, I entered one of the restaurants. The owner and his wife were watching TV, making me feel a bit guilty for disturbing their relaxation. There were no photos on the menu, so I ordered my favorite dish, Tianjin rice. It was delicious, with fluffy eggs and a rich sauce that complemented each other well. The portion was also satisfying. This place may represent the ideal type of casual Chinese restaurant. I definitely want to visit again.

The restaurant serves delicious parapara chahan. I remembered coming here a few years ago. I ordered the Tenshin don, which was unexpectedly topped with white sauce. The soup had the familiar soy sauce flavor of a local Chinese restaurant. The Tenshin don with salty sauce was delicious! The soup was also satisfying (traditional soup, looking forward to trying the noodle dishes). I alternated between the two dishes as I ate. The portion size was generous, especially for an older gentleman like myself. The rice in the bowl was normal, so a smaller portion might prevent getting tired of it. Perhaps the chef is the second generation? The mother was also helping out. The traditional Tokyo soy sauce flavor was excellent. I look forward to trying the chahan and Cantonese noodles next time. I just remembered, last time I had the stir-fried vegetables. Thank you for the meal!

Today's lunch adventure took me to the area around Tsukishima Station. I exited from Exit 7 of the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line Tsukishima Station and walked along Tsukishima Monja Street towards Kachidoki (from Ichiban Street to Yonban Street). After crossing the intersection between Sanban Street and Yonban Street, I turned left and walked a bit until I found the restaurant I visited today, "Hamachan." I arrived at the restaurant around 1:15 PM on a weekday. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that there were a couple of groups of customers - a duo at the counter and a pair at a table. I quickly secured a table by the entrance and checked out the menu. The menu included various ramen dishes, wontons, fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, and more. I decided to order the Tanmen (ramen with pork and vegetables) and Half Fried Rice. After a 9-minute wait, my Tanmen and Half Fried Rice were served. The Tanmen had a delicious chicken-based salt soup with a mix of pork fat and vegetable flavors. The noodles were slightly curly and cooked just right, providing a good texture. The dish also included pork belly, cabbage, onions, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, and carrots, all cooked to perfection. The Half Fried Rice was visually appealing and came with a generous portion of stir-fried rice with char siu, eggs, and bamboo shoots. Overall, the meal was satisfying, with the Tanmen offering a flavorful broth and well-cooked ingredients, while the Half Fried Rice was hearty and delicious. It was a pleasant dining experience at Hamachan.

Today's lunch was at Tsukishima Chinese restaurant! The entrance looks a bit sketchy with the curtain up and no menu displayed, but the inside is well-kept and promising with a few customers already seated. The hungry customer ordered a meat and vegetable stir-fry, which was cooked perfectly in a large wok, leaving the vegetables crunchy and seasoned well with soy sauce. The portion was generous even as a single dish! They also added a half portion of fried rice, which had a nice texture and was well-combined with the meat and vegetables. Sprinkling some white pepper on top made it an ideal dish for the hungry customer! The half portion of fried rice was also quite filling. The soy sauce-based soup was simple and light, but may not have been the best match for the hungry customer. Overall, Tsukishima Chinese restaurant is recommended for those who enjoy stir-fried dishes. Next time, the customer plans to try the yakisoba! You'll definitely fall in love with Tsukishima Chinese restaurant!

Date: July 6, 2021 (Tuesday) Cloudy First visit 11:08 Entered the restaurant No customers before or after Ordered Tanmen: 700 yen I visited in search of Tanmen. Upon entering, I used the alcohol provided to disinfect my hands. I sat at the counter seats in the back. The shop has been relocated for about 4 years, and it feels clean, but the interior is quite narrow. I checked the menu and ordered "Tanmen" verbally to the proprietress. A glass of water was served promptly. The shop is run by the proprietress and her son. On the table, there were soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, S&B Ichimi Togarashi, ground pepper, and small packets of Japanese mustard. The TV was showing "Hiruobi," which helped pass the time. It was served by the proprietress in about 4 minutes. The noodles were thick curly noodles. They were slightly soft when bitten, with a chewy texture remaining. Ingredients: pork, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, and wood ear mushrooms. The pork and vegetables are sautéed before being simmered in the soup. The pork was small cuts of pork shoulder. It had no odor, and the slightly larger cuts had a resilient texture. The cabbage was finely chopped and cooked thoroughly, giving it a soft texture. The bean sprouts were thick and crunchy. The carrots and onions had a soft texture. The amount of vegetables was about 200g, which was sufficient. The wood ear mushrooms were cut into easy-to-eat sizes and had a firm texture. The soup was cloudy with a salty taste. The base was made from pork bones, chicken bones, aromatic vegetables, and dried seafood. Seasonings were added to enhance the umami flavor. It also had depth from dried shiitake mushrooms and kelp. The sweetness of the vegetables balanced the slightly strong saltiness. There was hardly any aroma, but it had a moderate amount of oil and a suitable richness. It had a moderate thickness and a slight greasiness. I finished the noodles and ingredients without changing the taste. I left about half of the soup, paid, and left the restaurant. Overall, it was a delicious and traditional Tanmen. The soup had a strong umami flavor and was quite tasty. The service was ordinary. The interior was quite narrow and felt cramped. Next time, I would like to try the "Garlic Tanmen." Thank you for the meal.

Garlic Tanmen! As the name suggests, it's Tanmen with grated garlic. It's pretty ordinary, so a bit disappointing. There isn't a lot of vegetables in it, so it feels a bit lacking. It has a nostalgic taste, maybe from being cooked in lard. The person next to me ordered fried rice, and it was a huge portion. I'll try the fried rice next time. It's a great place to go when you're hungry. Thank you for the meal. Thank you♪

I visited a Chinese restaurant in town because I was craving fried rice. When I entered the restaurant, I could see the kitchen clearly, just like a typical local Chinese restaurant. I used to love the now-closed famous restaurant "Shibuya" in Hatchobori and Takaramachi, so I had high expectations. I ordered fried rice and Chinese-style scrambled eggs with leeks. The sound of the sizzling pan raised my expectations. The fried rice that came out was a fluffy type of fried rice. The Chinese-style scrambled eggs with leeks turned out to be stir-fried leeks with meat. It was a bit different from what I was expecting, but the taste itself was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Hama-chan," a traditional Chinese restaurant in Tsukishima, which has managed to maintain its charm despite the redevelopment in the area. I ordered the crispy yakisoba and fried rice (regular size) for lunch. Both dishes were generously portioned, and the fried rice had a distinct salty flavor with just the right amount of lard. I enjoyed the crispy texture of the medium-thick noodles in the yakisoba, especially when mixed with the flavorful sauce and ingredients. The heat of the dishes was just perfect, making the meal even more delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

During teleworking, I had lunch at a nearby restaurant called Hama-chan. I had the bean sprout and pork topping ramen with half-fried rice. The noodles were straight and the soup was soy sauce-based with stir-fried bean sprouts and pork on top. It was very easy to eat and delicious. The fried rice portion was so big that it could be considered a full serving, and it tasted just like the Chinese restaurant's fried rice that I had imagined. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal. It was crowded with people from nearby construction sites during lunchtime, making it very lively. I will definitely visit again.

I was curious about this restaurant in Tsukishima for a while, but I couldn't see the inside of the store from outside, so it was a bit scary, but I decided to go in (lol). I ordered the "Garlic Tanmen" (850 yen), which had a quite punchy garlic soup. It's not made with raw garlic, but the garlic has been cooked. The soup was heavier than I expected, similar to the soup in champon. It might be addictive for some people. The Tanmen also had bean sprouts, leeks, finely chopped pork, and wood ear mushrooms. The addition of wood ear mushrooms was not bad, but I wish there were more vegetables. The noodles were medium-thick and curly, without any distinct features. Overall, it seems like a popular spot for young people and drinkers if they are open late at night. I'm interested in trying other menu items, so I plan to come back again. Thank you for the meal.
