Butter sandwich Chestnut limited-time flavor seems to be delicious! The cookie is tasty! The butter cookie is crispy and thin, with a hint of vanilla that is universally appealing. The cream has a chestnut flavor, but the taste of fresh cream is stronger.

Heading east from Shinjuku, as the shops become sparse, you suddenly come across a large Ito-Yokado. It is one of the largest in the Shinjuku area, if not the largest. Inside this Ito-Yokado, you will find two big names for sweets lovers - Chateraise and Fujiya. On this particular day, I stumbled upon a home time support campaign with several discounted items. Taking advantage of the campaign, I bought a cream puff. The puff pastry is similar to what you find at convenience stores. The cream is delicious, with a nice milky cream mixed with a melon cream that adds a nice touch. Fujiya's cream is amazing. (May 2021)

The other day, I was craving something sweet and remembered that there was a Fujiya store inside Ito-Yokado, so I decided to stop by! There were various cakes available, and this time I bought a cheesecake. It was very rich and not too sweet, very delicious! I will definitely visit again!

After eating a rich ramen at a ramen shop in Shinjuku Ni-chome, I decided to take a walk towards the area where Shinjuku Kosei Nenkin Kaikan used to be (it closed in 2010 and was demolished). As I walked along Yasukuni Street, I ended up near Shinjuku Fukutoku Cross Comfort Tower (a super high-rise tower condominium completed in May 2015). I went inside the Ito-Yokado food store in Shinjuku Fukutoku and found a Fujiya store. Being a Fujiya fan with a connection to Otsuka in Bunkyo Ward, I decided to buy some items to take home. I was told that the cakes had a shelf life until the next day, so I purchased two limited edition Arita-yaki milky puddings in peach, Mebina Peko-chan, and Peko-chan cookies, paying with nanaco. They provided a cooling pack for one hour. I ate the Mebina Peko-chan as a late-night snack. It had a light custard cream-filled sponge with milk and strawberry cream mont blanc on top, with a cute Peko-chan sugar candy on top. It had a mousse-like texture, was not heavy at all, and was really delicious. I felt sorry for eating the Peko-chan sugar candy, but it was so tasty and gentle on the stomach, without adding to my weight. I didn't buy the Mebina Aobina Poco-chan, so I plan to go buy it quickly now if it's not sold out.

I went to the Fujiya store inside Ito Yokado in Tomifuku-cho, about a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station! This is my go-to Ito Yokado. I decided to buy pudding this time as I was craving something sweet! Fujiya's pudding has always been quite sweet, perfect for kids! It might be a bit too sweet for adults, but it's good for when you're feeling tired! They also have birthday cakes here, so I always come here when there's a special occasion.

A while ago, a friend was coming over to my house so I bought some cakes from this shop. I haven't bought from Fujiya in a long time, but I decided to give it a try. I purchased chocolate cake, Italian chestnut Mont Blanc, strawberry tart, and blueberry tart. The size of each cake was sufficient and the prices were reasonable. The staff was very friendly and I had a pleasant shopping experience. The taste was consistently delicious. The tart crust was crispy but not too hard, and the sponge was soft. The sweetness, sourness, and richness were just to my liking. While fancy shops in department stores are nice, I also appreciate the nostalgic feel of shops like this. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

A family member had a birthday yesterday and we celebrated with a shortcake from Fujiya. I took a photo from a strange angle to show the name written on it. The strawberries with powdered sugar on top were delicious. The Fujiya whipped cream had a strong milky taste, which I hadn't noticed before. I'm thinking of buying pajamas or a wallet as a birthday present. It's a good time to upgrade and regularly update daily items and accessories for birthdays. Fujiya is located at Ito-Yokado Shinjuku Fukutoku store.
