On July 27, 2023, revisited Yurakucho to Ginza for a final drink. Entered at 5:30 PM with no appetizers, just a few side dishes. On May 29, 2023, visited after a long absence, three months later. Entered at 7:00 PM with one previous customer. As it was the third stop, only had the appetizer. On February 10, 2023, revisited for the second time this week. Entered at 7:40 PM with two previous customers and ordered several dishes. On February 8, 2023, revisited for the first time this year, possibly the first stop. Entered at 7:20 PM with one previous customer and ordered various dishes. The counter was almost full with later customers, so left. On December 22, 2022, revisited for the third time after two failed attempts this week. Entered at 8:00 PM with no previous customers. Stayed for an hour and a half for end-of-year greetings. The test creation dish was well done. On November 14, 2022, revisited with many others. Entered at 6:00 PM with no previous customers. No appetizer today. Ordered grilled shiitake mushrooms and meat-wrapped green onions as snacks with a bottle. Also got two rice balls for takeout on the way home. On October 26, 2022, revisited after drinking in Oshiage. Entered at 6:50 PM with four previous customers. Started with boiled peanuts as an appetizer and ordered a bottle. Had a chat with new customers at the counter. On August 23, 2022, revisited as the second stop with a colleague. Elaborate appetizers were served. Memories are vague for the second stop. On July 5, 2022, revisited shamefully for multiple consecutive days. Found the requested bottle of Iki and ordered grilled local chicken as a snack. While waiting, received a complimentary dish of Iburi Gakko cheese. It seems like I found a good restaurant. On July 4, 2022, visited this hidden gem found on the other side of the street. It's a bit secluded and feels like a hidden gem. Entered at 7:15 PM with one previous customer. No temperature checks, just hand sanitizer at the entrance. Ordered barley shochu (Iki) with water. Lightly ordered dishes like cold tofu, water eggplant with sudachi, and potato salad. The restaurant is managed by a female owner alone, creating a calm atmosphere. Had a pleasant conversation after the previous customer left. The hands-on approach of the owner preparing dishes while chatting was impressive. The food was delicious and well-prepared. Satisfied and full, thank you for the meal.

The solo drinking set (?) is voluminous and offers a good variety of meat and fish, making it a good deal. Although they mentioned that the contents may change occasionally, I found that there was no change even when I visited across months, which was a bit disappointing. The staff seemed to be operating alone, which may explain their lack of friendliness. Their reactions to orders were a bit indifferent, making it a bit awkward to place an order. (awkward smile)

Located in Sansu Square directly connected to Kachidoki Station✨ Please be careful to find it as it is located in a semi-basement-like area☆ Order the seafood dashi chazuke "Maeda" and enjoy the taste in three stages❗️ Each bite offers a fresh taste, dashi flavor, and sesame sauce flavor✨✨ The satisfaction is likely to increase even more during the night with alcohol after enjoying the deliciousness of lunch❗️❗️

It was almost full. I sat at the counter. The staff seemed busy and it was hard to start a conversation. I ordered a few items, but it didn't feel like a place to relax and chat with friends, so I left after drinking for about an hour. The entrance may seem intimidating, but the atmosphere is nothing special, just an average restaurant. It's small, the prices are high, and it didn't really suit me. The food was decent.

I had saury for the first time this year and it was delicious. The second time, I tried the Maeda bowl, a seafood bowl with good seafood but the rice was a bit too warm for a bowl.

Located in the underground first floor of Kachidoki Sansquare, there is a shop called Maeda-san, which is probably mainly a bar at night. Lunch operations at bar-type establishments typically fall into two categories: those that offer affordable meals as a way to attract customers during the day, and those that maintain high prices and small portions, reflecting their nighttime pricing. Maeda-san seems to fall into the former category. Although the menu is not extensive, the photos look appealing and appetizing. I decided to visit the restaurant and ordered the seafood bowl, which looked luxurious with toppings like conger eel, tuna, sea bream, octopus, and a raw egg in the center. The dish was initially enjoyed as a seafood bowl with soy sauce. As I reached the last quarter, I requested dashi broth to be poured over it, which added a new dimension to the flavors. The conger eel was slightly small in size and came at an additional cost of 300 yen, which I felt was not necessary. Overall, being close to Tsukiji Market, seafood restaurants in this area rarely disappoint, and Maeda-san is a convenient option for enjoying seafood.

I casually explored around Kachidoki Station for lunch today. I took the A1 exit of the Toei Oedo Line Kachidoki Station and found myself connected to the Kachidoki Sansquare building on the basement floor. Inside the building, I walked straight ahead for a while and found a hall with dining establishments. I turned left in the hall and continued straight ahead until I reached the restaurant I visited today, "Maeda." The young proprietress was running the place by herself. I entered the restaurant at 1:10 PM on a weekday. Inside, there were counter seats in front of the kitchen and table seats in the back, giving the place a clean and cozy atmosphere. Since there were no other customers, the young proprietress guided me to the counter seats in front of the kitchen. I sat down and checked the menu. The menu included: - Seafood dashi chazuke "Maeda" (1,000 yen) - Yukimono (with seared anago) (1,300 yen) - Tsuki (with sea urchin and salmon roe) (1,400 yen) - Hana (with sea urchin, salmon roe, and anago) (1,600 yen) - Set meals: - Kinugasaba salt-grilled set meal (790 yen) - Kinugasaba salt-grilled & fried chicken set meal (900 yen) - Grilled fish duo (Kinugasaba & black Japanese sea bass) set meal (1,000 yen) - Assorted set meal (meat, vegetables, fish - 6 items) (1,050 yen) I ordered the "Seafood dashi chazuke" and after a 7-minute wait, it was served. The dish consisted of finely chopped buri, katsuo, madai, tako, tobikko, cucumber, and tamago, with a raw egg yolk on top and a sheet of nori on the side. I mixed soy sauce with wasabi, cracked the egg yolk, poured the soy sauce with wasabi over the dish, and mixed it all together. Each spoonful brought a different combination of ingredients, creating a delightful mix of flavors and textures. When I had eaten half of it, I tore the nori into strips, placed the bowl on the counter, and asked the young proprietress to add dashi. The dashi was added, giving the dish a delicious light broth. I finished the dish quickly and thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience of having both a seafood bowl and dashi chazuke in one meal. It was a satisfying meal for me. Thank you for the delicious food.

Today's lunch was in the Kachidoki area! I didn't have much time, so I explored a restaurant near the intersection. Huh? A sign for seafood dashi chazuke in the basement of Sun Square! I was in the mood for fish since morning, and for a light finish, seafood dashi chazuke sounded perfect! The normal menu is good, but for an extra 400 yen, why not go for the sea urchin and salmon roe? Let's go for it! First up, the seafood dashi chazuke without egg yolk! Various toppings on top of warm rice, such as minced tuna with green onions, sea bream, yellowtail, bonito, octopus, and more! The colors are vibrant and appetizing! The sea urchin and salmon roe are served separately, but they add a nice touch to the generous portion. I also ordered a seafood bowl to enjoy together! Now, onto the second half! Pour the piping hot bonito broth over the bowl and give it a light mix. The slightly heated sea urchin tastes great! After finishing, I feel pleasantly satisfied. The salt-grilled Kinu-saba and set meals also caught my eye. This place seems worth revisiting in this area!

"Maeda" in Nihonbashi. I didn't know about it, but it seems to be a popular restaurant. Their second branch in Kachidoki is where I visited for the first time. It's located on the basement floor of the Sun Square Building, directly connected to the station, but it may be hard to find as it's tucked away in a corner. They offer grilled fish set meals like Kinasa mackerel and black porgy, but their specialty is the seafood dashi chazuke. You pour dashi over a seafood bowl at the end, turning it into a chazuke. I arrived just before the lunch closing time at 1:59 pm, but they kindly welcomed me in. I ordered the "Maeda" seafood dashi chazuke. It was adorned with sea bream, yellowtail, bonito, octopus, minced tuna with green onions, cucumber, egg yolk, tamago, and shrimp roe, like jewels. It looked delicious. Oh, and there was seaweed too. I drizzled the soy sauce with melted wasabi over it. The finely chopped ingredients mixed together in my mouth, creating a delicious blend. I asked for the dashi to be added when there was a quarter left. Instead of giving you a bowl with dashi already in it, they pour the dashi over your half-eaten bowl and return it to you, which seems to be their style. The dashi, resembling a light miso soup, was tasty. I poured it in until the bowl was nearly empty. It cost just 1,000 yen. It felt like a good deal because it was delicious twice. It was a one-woman operation, not sure if it's always like that. This style of serving is unique to the Kachidoki branch, not available at the Nihonbashi main store.

This is a Japanese restaurant located on the basement floor of a complex building called "Kachidoki Sansquare" directly connected to Kachidoki Station on the Toei Oedo Line. The exterior of the restaurant gives off a simple yet elegant traditional Japanese vibe with a cool-looking curtain. Inside, there are around 7-8 seats at the counter and two tables for four in the back. The lunch menu offers a variety of options such as the highly recommended grilled anago seafood rice tea set (1,150 yen), grilled fish platter set (1,000 yen), and assorted platter set (1,050 yen), but the prices are a bit on the higher side. I tried the grilled anago seafood rice tea set (1,150 yen) which was quite luxurious. The dish included a seafood bowl with plenty of aromatic vegetables, one grilled anago, and marinated sea bream. There were no pickles or soup served, as the second half of the meal would involve pouring broth over the rice to make ochazuke. The seafood bowl featured sea bream, yellowtail, and bonito sashimi with various aromatic vegetables like daikon sprouts, myoga, and mizuna. The wasabi mixed with soy sauce was strong and high-quality, enhancing the flavors of the fish. The bonito sashimi was expertly seared, giving it a light and delicate texture. The grilled anago was lightly charred and glazed with a sweet sauce, topped with spring onions. The marinated sea bream had a sesame-based flavor that complemented the other dishes. Halfway through the meal, the staff poured broth over the rice, elevating the flavors even more. The broth was rich and delicious, enhancing the overall dining experience. Despite the seemingly small portion, the meal was quite filling due to the generous amount of broth. The quality of the ingredients and the skillful preparation made this seafood bowl a delightful and satisfying dish. Highly recommended for adults who appreciate the art of Japanese cuisine.

Date of visit: 2/17/2020 (Mon) around 11:50 AM Second visit to this restaurant. I ordered the assorted sashimi set last time and it was delicious, so I decided to come back. This time, I tried the top item on the lunch menu. The seared simmered conger eel seafood dashi rice bowl for 1150 yen, but with the 50 yen discount coupon I received last time, it came to 1100 yen. The conger eel is larger than the delicious thin size called "mesokko." The seafood rice bowl was topped with plenty of condiments, and there was also sea bream with sesame sauce. First, I tried the seafood rice bowl. As instructed, I mixed wasabi with soy sauce and drizzled it over the seafood rice bowl. The myoga and shiso leaves were a nice touch, refreshing and delicious. The tiny fish eggs were also tasty. The simmered conger eel was tender and had a nice sweetness to it. The seasoning at this restaurant is really delicious. I also added extra condiments when I turned it into a dashi rice bowl. Adding condiments was a great choice! The dashi was delicious, and turning it into a sesame tea was even better. I was completely satisfied with the top item on the menu. Thank you for the meal.

Visit date: 12/16/2019 (Mon) 11:50 First visit to the restaurant. I had visited before around 1:00 PM and they only had one menu item left, so I had to give up. This time, I really wanted to try the assorted set meal! 11:50 - Entered and seated 12:04 - Assorted set meal arrived It came in a two-tiered box with 3 side dishes, a total of 6 assorted items. It also came with rice, pickles, and miso soup (with green onions). The rice was delicious and you could have a large portion or free refills, my colleague immediately got a refill. Yes, the rice was that good. If the rice is good, there's no way the side dishes wouldn't be good, and of course, the side dishes were delicious too. - Simmered greens and tofu: Bitter greens with a flavorful broth - Potato salad: Seasoned with black pepper, a mature taste - Simmered octopus: The octopus was tender! We enjoyed the other side dishes as well. When we brought the tray back to the counter ourselves, we received a 50 yen discount coupon for the next visit. I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Maeda in Nihonbashi, the second branch of the restaurant, which is located just a 1-minute walk from Kachidoki Station in Tokyo. I ordered the assorted lunch set for 1000 yen, which is becoming a popular choice for those visiting Kachidoki. The restaurant is located in a semi-basement of a building directly connected to the station. The young female staff member handled everything on her own and the dishes arrived in about 10 minutes after ordering. The set meal came with 6 side dishes in a two-tiered container, each one delicious and well-prepared. The dessert, a water yokan, was also excellent. I was very satisfied with the meal. Another delicious lunch, thank you!

Today, I visited a small restaurant located in the basement of a building facing the intersection in Tsukishima. The menu mainly focuses on fish dishes, except for an Indian restaurant. I chose the grilled eel and seafood dashi tea rice bowl from the three available options. The seafood bowl included mackerel, sea bream, and yellowtail sashimi, served with grated wasabi and soy sauce. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. After finishing the sashimi, I poured the dashi soup over the remaining rice. The side dish for the dashi tea rice bowl was grilled eel and sea bream sashimi with sesame sauce, making it a luxurious and high-quality lunch. It was truly delicious.

I had the seared and simmered conger eel seafood dashi rice bowl for 1000 yen at Maeda, just a 1-minute walk from Kachidoki Station in Tokyo. I was impressed by this place when I stumbled upon it last time I was in Kachidoki, so I decided to come back again. The restaurant is run by a young woman, and the food arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. In addition to the seafood bowl, there were separate plates of conger eel and sea bream slices. I first ate about half of the seafood bowl as is, then asked the staff to pour dashi broth into it and added the conger eel and sea bream from the separate plates to make ochazuke. The dashi broth was quite rich in flavor, and when I asked if there was any connection to Maeda in Nihonbashi where I used to frequent, it turned out that the owner is the same. That explained the quality. Another delicious seafood meal today!

I'm happy that I can have a set meal even at night. I had the Pacific saury set meal, which came with miso soup, side dishes, and rice for 1,000 yen. The Pacific saury used in the meal is said to be from Hokkaido, and even the roe was delicious. The restaurant is clean and you can enjoy a tasty meal. They also seem to have a good selection of alcohol, so I look forward to trying that next time.
