I wandered around Kachidoki Station for lunch today. I took the elevator at Exit A3b of the Toei Oedo Line Kachidoki Station, went up to the ground level, walked towards Toyomi along Kiyosumi Street, and reached a traffic light. I crossed the first traffic light, turned left immediately, then turned right at the first intersection, and continued straight. Just before the end of this road on the right hand side, I found the restaurant "Oshokujidokoro Dorakutei" where I visited today.
I entered the restaurant at 1:20 PM on a weekday. Inside, there were two solo female diners and a group of two male diners, totaling four people. I sat at a table right by the entrance and checked the menu. The menu included:
- Original Maguro Kama with Mini Sashimi for 900 yen
- Kiguro & Suki Meshi Donburi (Two-color bowl) for 1,000 yen
- Lunch Set Menu (Teishoku) with options like grilled fish, saba shioyaki for 900 yen, and sashimi, maguro with nori for 900 yen
- Lunch Set Menu (Donburi) with options like shirasu don for 1,000 yen, yamakake don for 1,000 yen, sesame tekka don for 1,000 yen, maguro steak don for 1,000 yen, tsukedon for 1,000 yen, tekka don for 1,000 yen, and extra large size for an additional 100 yen.
I remembered seeing the daily special "Maguro Kama Mini Sashimi" at the entrance, so I ordered the "Maguro Kama Mini Sashimi" set. After waiting for 6 minutes, the set was served. First, the "Maguro Kama" was served, followed by the "Mini Sashimi." The set included two large grilled tuna collars, mini sashimi with akami, chutoro, otoro, a small side dish with okra and pickles, rice, and a hearty miso soup.
I started by eating the grilled tuna collars. They were perfectly grilled, easily separated with chopsticks, and had a rich flavor with just the right amount of fat. The meat around the bones was the most delicious part. It was satisfying to eat and enough to fill me up. The "Mini Sashimi" was not so mini, with generous portions of fresh akami, chutoro, and otoro, all with good freshness and delicious fat content. I ate through the sashimi, enjoying each piece.
I took breaks with rice and the small side dish while eating the grilled tuna collars and sashimi, and finished with the miso soup. Today, I enjoyed a meal full of fresh seafood with a generous portion. Thank you for the delicious meal.
