★4.0 [FILE 4152] July 8, 2023 (Saturday) 13:35 Visited a cafe along Yoshino-dori in Japan Tsutsumi, opened in 1968, 55 years ago. [Current Edition] After May 2023, there has been a decrease of 1 store, leaving a total of 15 stores. Two weeks ago, when I visited NORTH NODE COFFEE and learned about roasting techniques and the essence of a self-roasting coffee shop, the master recommended me to visit his shop, so I decided to stop by. The interior of the cafe has a spacious and calm atmosphere with a color scheme of white and dark brown. There are 27 table seats in the front and 7 counter seats at the back, totaling 34 seats, making it feel spacious and relaxed. During my visit, about 90% of the seats were occupied. I waited for about 6 minutes at the entrance before being seated. The customer base was evenly split between 50% male and 50% female. The service was handled smoothly by one male staff member and one female staff member. The menu includes: Drip Coffee - Italian Blend 700 yen (tax included) - India APAA 680 yen (tax included) - Kenya AA 750 yen (tax included) - Ethiopia Sidamo W 710 yen (tax included) - Malawi Vifuya 670 yen (tax included) - Peru El Bargo 680 yen (tax included) - Bach Blend 660 yen (tax included) - Sumatra Mandheling Tanobatak 720 yen (tax included) - Colombia Amare Donde 770 yen (tax included) - Guatemala Combostela 700 yen (tax included) - Papua New Guinea AA 680 yen (tax included) - Tanzania AA Asante 670 yen (tax included) - Mild Blend 670 yen (tax included) - Panama Don Patch Geisha Natural 1380 yen (tax included) - Costa Rica PN Grace Honey 710 yen (tax included) - Panama Don Patch Tipica 700 yen (tax included) - Nicaragua SHG 670 yen (tax included) - Yemen Mocha Haraz 820 yen (tax included) - Soft Blend 670 yen (tax included) - Blue Mountain No.1 1650 yen (tax included) - Vietnam Arabica 740 yen (tax included) - Brazil W 660 yen (tax included) - Haiti Baptist 750 yen (tax included) Bread, Pancakes, Toast - 440 yen (tax included) - Cheesecake 600 yen (tax included) - Chocolate Cake 600 yen (tax included) - Cardinal Schnitten 630 yen (tax included) - Frankfurter Krantz 590 yen (tax included) I ordered the Italian Blend for 700 yen and the Cardinal Schnitten for 630 yen, totaling 1330 yen. The Italian Blend coffee was served by grinding the beans in front of me and hand-dripping them, surpassing the India blend in bitterness and depth, making it very delicious. The Cardinal Schnitten cake, a Viennese specialty, features a white and yellow striped baked dough filled with a slightly bitter coffee cream. The combination of the light sweetness of the crispy dough and the slightly bitter coffee cream was very delicious. The cafe has a spacious and calm atmosphere with a color scheme of white and dark brown. Compared to NORTH NODE COFFEE's 14 bean varieties, Cafe Bach offers 23 bean varieties, and it was impressive to see them handling numerous hand-drips in front of me. Various cashless payment options were available at the checkout. The cake + coffee set for 1330 yen includes the Italian Blend coffee, which offers bitterness and depth surpassing the India blend, and the Cardinal Schnitten cake, which combines the light sweetness of the crispy dough with the slightly bitter coffee cream, making it very delicious.

Sophie 750 yen A rich chocolate mousse with a hint of liqueur, paired with apples, is delicious. The tart is not hard, it's more like a crispy, light, and thin cookie. The whipped cream is not too sweet, which is good. Mont Blanc 660 yen Out of all the cakes I've had here, this one felt the sweetest. Maybe the chestnut cream is on the sweeter side? The meringue base is not solid, it's crunchy and delicious. It easily breaks with a fork...or rather, crumbles. This type is new to me. Iced Tea 740 yen

First visit. It's located on a street I often pass by, and I've been curious about it because it's called Tokyo Coffee Four Heavenly Kings. The menu is arranged in order of roasting degree, making it easy to choose. This time, I ordered ◾️Bach Blend ◾️Butter Toast. I prefer a bit of bitterness, but since it was my first time, I ordered the Bach Blend. After ordering, they carefully brewed the coffee. The Bach Blend was refreshing and easy to drink, with a well-balanced flavor. The toast was soft and delicious, making for a happy breakfast. I heard they also offer takeout, so I will definitely use their services again in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this coffee shop, known as one of the four kings of coffee in Tokyo, after a long time (several years). The classical interior was very lively. Since it had been a while, this time I ordered the Bach blend and chocolate cake. The Bach blend had a perfect balance of bitterness, sweetness, and acidity, with no particular element standing out, just a clear flavor. It didn't have the trendy emphasis on individuality, but I thought it was a wonderful balance that could serve as a criterion for finding my preferred coffee taste. The chocolate cake also paired well with the coffee and was delicious. It's unrelated, but I remember getting interested in coffee after reading a book by the owner, Mr. Taguchi, in my younger days. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to pass by and got some takeout! It was around 2 pm, and the inside of the restaurant was mostly filled with elderly customers, while outside there were 2-3 groups waiting. I ordered a cake and an iced coffee for takeout, and they were able to serve me in about 10 minutes. The staff seemed to sense that I was in a hurry, so they quickly took care of my order and even came out to hand it to me under the scorching sun. They were very kind! Thank you. As for the cakes, I couldn't decide between the seasonal lemon and the chocolate cake, so I ordered both the Schneiden and the chocolate cake. They were not too sweet and had a flavor that would appeal to any age group. I would like to visit the restaurant leisurely next time.

Today, I visited this popular cafe in Minami-Senju, known as one of the top four coffee shops in Tokyo. It was a relaxed atmosphere around 3:30 pm on a weekday. I ordered an iced coffee. The iced coffee had a rich and slightly bitter taste, with a fruity aroma. It was delicious! I also liked the glass it was served in. Overall, it was a great coffee experience. I would love to try their cakes next time. Thank you for the meal.

Near Minami-Senju, I heard from a friend that there is a coffee shop called one of the Tokyo Coffee Four Heavenly Kings. It sounds very interesting. Since its establishment in 1968, this shop has been dedicated to providing a carefully crafted cup of coffee with their own roasting. Today's MENU: Cheesecake 600 yen The cheesecake is simple but you can taste the flavor of the ingredients well. It's not too sweet and I didn't get tired of eating it. Bach Blend 660 yen The coffee has a predominant acidity and sweetness with not much bitterness. The aroma of the beans is clear and distinct. They offer a wide variety of coffee types, ranging from light to dark roasts. You can also purchase coffee beans. The shop has about 5 counter seats and around 20 table seats. It's lively even on weekdays. The only slightly disappointing aspect was that the volume of the classical BGM was low, and the noise of the staff cleaning was more noticeable than the music. I couldn't hear the Bach music clearly.

I stopped by around 3 o'clock, and it was less crowded than usual so I decided to go in. I had cycled there and was feeling hot, so I ordered an iced coffee. I know hot coffee allows you to enjoy the true taste of coffee, but I was sweating so much. Since it was snack time, I also had a slice of cheesecake. It was a decent size, not too heavy, not too sweet, and not too sour - just perfect to go with the coffee. I started by drinking the iced coffee straight, and the flavor of the beans really stood out, it was delicious. Even when I added syrup and milk, the coffee's richness still shined through. It was a blissful moment on a hot day.

I revisited this cafe, "Cafe Bach," located about a 10-minute walk from Minami-Senju Station on the JR Joban Line, after about 1 year and 9 months. I visited on a Sunday just after opening at 10 am and was able to enter smoothly without much wait. However, the cafe quickly became crowded, with almost all seats other than the counter seats taken. I ordered an iced coffee and a lemon tart this time! They only serve pour-over iced coffee, not cold brew. - Iced Coffee ¥720 (tax included) - Lemon Tart ¥630 (tax included) As for the taste, the iced coffee was not too bitter and very easy to drink. The seasonal lemon tart looked beautiful, with a sweet and sour lemon cream topped with soft meringue. It almost seemed too pretty to eat. Overall, they offer a wide variety of coffee beans from around the world, all of high quality, and the staff's service was very polite, making it a very comfortable place to be. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely visit again if I have the chance!

Hello everyone. I recently had the chance to visit a nice coffee shop, and I would like to jot down my experience. I had some business in Minami-Senju, so I decided to take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee. After searching the area, I found that Cafe Bach had good reviews. It was a bit of a walk from the station, about 10 minutes, but I finally arrived at this cozy cafe with a nostalgic atmosphere. I felt relieved from the heat and ordered a Malawi Viphya coffee and a Lemon Tart. They had a variety of coffee beans and drinks, perfect for coffee enthusiasts. The Malawi coffee had a strong bitterness and a well-balanced acidity, perfect for those who enjoy bitter coffee. It was just my taste. The Lemon Tart had a nice sweetness and a vibrant lemon aroma, which paired well with the coffee. I enjoyed my time reading coffee-related magazines provided by the cafe. Thank you for the wonderful experience. If you are nearby, this is a great place to relax. For those further away, I recommend stopping by if you happen to pass by. Enjoy your dining experience, everyone!

Visited on Saturday around 4 pm. There were 4 people ahead of me, but I was able to get in in less than 30 minutes. The iced coffee and coffee jelly were delicious. There were a lot of people outside the shop aiming to take pictures of the fireworks display, which was a bit annoying, but I guess it's understandable since it only happens once a year.

On my way to the Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival at Shioiri Park in Minami-Senju, I decided to stop by a famous café called Café Bach that I found online. Known as one of the top four coffee shops in Tokyo, I ordered their specialty Bach Blend coffee and cheesecake. The coffee, which is roasted in-house, had a unique flavor and aroma that I haven't experienced before. The cheesecake, also homemade, was not too sweet and absolutely delicious. The total cost for my order was 660 yen for the Bach Blend and 600 yen for the cheesecake.

It is located about a 10-minute walk from Minami-Senju Station. Frankfurter Franz for 590 yen is a seasonal cake and the day I happened to visit was the last day to buy it. It is a buttercream cake with a hint of liqueur. The moist yet light texture of the cake is delicious. The caramelized almonds on top are also tasty. The Chocolate Cake for 600 yen is rich but very light. The cream and sponge are dense yet easy to eat, which is amazing. It is incredibly delicious and may be my top chocolate cake. I planned to have 2 Cheesecakes for 600 yen, but they were so delicious and light that I ended up ordering more. The Cheesecake is also very light! It is not too sweet, and the baking is just perfect. It is the best souffle-style cheesecake I have ever had. The Iced Tea for 740 yen is delicious, and the glass and tray were sparkling.

I took out some cakes because the bakery is close by! It was crowded inside on Sunday, with people waiting. They were out of strawberry cake, so I got chocolate cake and cheesecake instead. Bach is famous for their delicious cakes, right? Cakes are best enjoyed with Bach's tasty coffee in the store! I feel like having Bach's coffee again! It seems like they also offer coffee for takeout, so next time I'll get coffee to go along with the cakes. Thank you for the meal!

I walked from Minami-Senju Station. I drove there and parked at a nearby coin parking. There was a line, so I bought coffee jelly inside the store and ate it in the car. It had plenty of cream, a strong coffee flavor, and a fragrant taste. It was delicious.

I received a Papua New Guinea coffee and a Pistachio Dacquoise. The Papua New Guinea coffee had a slightly higher roast level than usual, but it had a mild and easy-to-drink flavor. The Pistachio Dacquoise was soft and powdery, with a strong pistachio flavor, making it a recommended choice for those with a sweet tooth. Just be careful to pair it with a less bitter coffee, as it can be easily overwhelmed.

The surrounding area is a quaint town with a unique atmosphere. After taking a short walk, I entered this café and was surprised by the contrast. Despite not knowing much about coffee, I found the taste to be delicious. The café was somehow beautiful.

Near the main branch of Chufukurou, there was that famous Bach. The coffees were lined up in order of roasting depth, making it easy to order. I ordered the Guatemala Compostela (700 yen), which was roasted to a medium level. I also tried the Blancmange & Coffee Jelly (800 yen). The Guatemala coffee had a nice depth without too much bitterness, making it delicious to drink black. The Blancmange & Coffee Jelly was also delicious. They accept card payments.

"Cafe Bach" is the shop of Mr. Taguchi, a leading figure in the world of coffee in Japan. I have visited a few times before, but it had been a while since my last visit. The atmosphere inside the shop is calm, with staff working efficiently and classical music playing in the background. It is truly a space to "enjoy" coffee. They offer a variety of coffee types based on origin and roasting level. This time, I tried the dark-roasted Kenya coffee. The coffee, brewed with care using beans roasted in-house and ground for each cup, was excellent! The sharp bitterness and subtle sweetness of the dark roast were outstanding. The cakes are also homemade. The Cardinal Schnitten, with its light biscuit and meringue paired with coffee cream, was a perfect match. With coffee available cheaply at convenience stores these days, I indulged in a slightly luxurious moment. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I arrived at the restaurant at 11 am on Saturday. I thought there might be a wait, but I was seated right away at an available table. The place was busy with customers coming and going, so there might be a wait on other days. I ordered an iced coffee and a cake. The iced coffee in the lovely atmosphere was delicious. The Vienna cake I tried for the first time was amazing and paired perfectly with the coffee. I forgot to take a picture, but I will definitely go back!

I had always wanted to visit Bach, and this time I finally made it there with determination. It's about a 15-minute walk from Minami-Senju. The place looked really small and inconspicuous from the outside, but once inside, the well-dressed staff quickly greeted me and showed me to my table. I tried the Bach Blend coffee, which had a slightly bitter taste but was easy to drink. I added some raw sugar and milk to make it more like a cafe au lait. The staff made each cup of coffee individually, and their skill was impressive. I chose a cake called Cardinal Schnitten from the display case, which had a duckworth-like surface. Inside, it had a coffee cream filling that was light and fluffy. After eating, I bought some financiers as souvenirs. Thank you for the wonderful experience and delicious treats in such a lovely space.
