This is a bento shop on Sakuradai Street. On my way back from Sakuradai, I bought a bento to eat at home. The only things visible at the storefront are the menu and prices. There are no photos or samples, so I chose one randomly (lol). The bento I chose was the Ebi Fry Bento for 550 yen. It felt like they were making it after I ordered, as I had to wait for about 5 minutes. There are benches and magazines placed in front of the store, maybe for waiting customers. The bento I received was piping hot and quite large! It contained 2 ebi fry, ham katsu, simmered dish, and rice. When I ate it at home, it was slightly cold but the ebi fry and ham katsu were still crispy (o^^o). The fry had a thin coating, not oily, and delicious! The simmered dish had a strong flavor, which I liked. The rice was not too firm or too soft, cooked just right. It was a satisfying bento with tasty side dishes and good value for money (*^^*).

I visited this place after heading north from Sakuradai Station. There was a bit of a line, but I ordered the "gyudon." It was served in about 5 minutes. The meat was tender, and the generous amount of rice with plenty of sauce was really good. I could see why there was a small line forming.

Located a 5-minute walk from Sakuradai Station, this bento shop along Sakuradai Street offers a variety of bento boxes, rice bowls, and curry dishes ranging from 500 yen to 750 yen. The daily lunch special (bento box: 550 yen) comes with a good selection of side dishes.
Heading towards Hikawadai for lunch, I came across this bento shop that had caught my eye before, so I decided to stop by and pick up something to eat. They didn't have a seaweed-wrapped bento displayed, but the cheapest options seemed to be the gyudon or curry rice at 500 yen. The daily lunch special was priced at 550 yen and seemed to offer good value.
After a short wait, I received my order and headed to a nearby park to enjoy my meal. The daily lunch special included fried sardines, gnocchi with meat sauce, shumai, potato salad, thick fried tofu, simmered vegetables, boiled greens, cabbage, and fried food. The side dishes were quite substantial and the rice, although slightly moist, was tasty. I also indulged in a canned oolong tea (sold separately for 100 yen) while enjoying the gentle sunlight. Despite it being daytime, the atmosphere was pleasant and the lunch was satisfying.

A bento shop in Sakuradai. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but I like individually owned shops so I decided to give it a try. I bought the daily special bento. It had a variety of homemade side dishes like tempura, basil chicken, steamed pork, etc. It was really delicious. I have a feeling I'll be buying it before work more often. Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m
