This is a yakiniku restaurant that opened in March this year. I have already visited the branch in Iriya, but there are quite a few branches of "Kiraen".... This location is rumored to be a "demon's gate" on Asakusa Kokusai Dori, where many Chinese restaurants and yakiniku restaurants were previously located. All of these were run and operated by Chinese people, and the quality of each restaurant was not particularly appealing. When you enter here, two Chinese female staff members will assist you, both speaking broken Japanese. The interior is the most beautiful so far, with a renovation that removed the central partition wall to provide a wide view of the whole place. Private rooms are also available in the back, creating a nice atmosphere. However, it's a bit odd that there are ashtrays on the table even though it's lunchtime, allowing smoking even during lunch. I remember that the staff at the Iriya branch I visited before were also Chinese and allowed smoking... The staff at that time were also unfriendly! Kalbi set meal 1180 yen - Just like the impression from the Iriya branch, the meat is quite wonderful! It's tender, flavorful, and of high quality!! It's truly "Japanese black beef," and the number of meat slices was not disappointing. The side dishes of kimchi and moyashi namul are delicious! However, the portion is small and somewhat stingy... The rice portion is also small and served in a stainless steel container with good heat conductivity, so it's hot. (By the way, it seems to be a breach of etiquette in Korea to hold the container while eating...) The mini salad portion is large, but the vegetables are watercress, carrot, and cabbage, and the dressing tastes Chinese. The wakame soup is a milky white beef bone broth, but for some reason, it was only half-filled in the bowl. The main actor, the meat, is top-notch, but the supporting actors are all unknown actors with high salaries... It feels like the main actor is surrounded by unknown people. The eco-chopsticks on the table are inconvenient for grilling meat! Even though there are tongs specifically for meat, using plastic chopsticks may touch the grill. The table condiments are like those in a ramen shop! The soy sauce bottle contains yakiniku sauce. In this way... the small details are very continental... Bibim noodles 880 yen - Topped with vegetables similar to the mini salad, such as watercress, cucumber, onion, carrot, and a half-boiled egg. The noodles have a soft texture and weak elasticity! It's not my favorite firm noodles, but rather a soft noodle with a high water content overall. The taste of the sauce is subtle, with a strong spiciness that stands out despite the lack of umami or richness. This spiciness that leads with pain is the spiciness of South American chili peppers like habanero, jolokia, and reaper! It's truly a pain-inducing type of spiciness. Although the sauce is not extremely spicy, the sauce on your lips starts to sting afterwards. With little umami, the spiciness stands out...! Doesn't this remind you of the "Mongolian Tanmen" with mapo tofu!? The seasoning is sloppy. Overall... I personally imagine that the quality and taste of the meat are impeccable, but the Korean dishes other than that are mediocre.
