Arrived around 9:55 on Sunday. At first glance, there was no one outside the store. Upon entering, I was told, "It will be about an hour wait because we are full, is that okay?" Looking towards the back, there were dozens of people lined up to the stairs leading to the second floor. Since I had come all the way, I decided to wait in line. The customers were mostly women, with male customers being only foreign men who came with women. I was the only man alone. It felt a bit awkward while waiting (later an old man came alone, which made me feel a bit relieved!). At 10:38, I was seated at the counter. I debated between the morning set and cake, but I was in the mood for cake and coffee over toast and salad, so I ordered the following: - Café au lait 650 yen - Apple pie 710 yen Total 1,360 yen The interior of the store was glamorous with high ceilings. If your water glass even slightly decreased, the staff would quickly refill it. Just being able to spend time in this space made me feel luxurious. Truly a popular store. The order arrived 10 minutes later. For the café au lait, I was asked about the ratio of coffee to milk. This time, I chose 1:1. They made it right there, and this performance was also quite delightful! Even though it was 1:1, the bitterness of the coffee slightly prevailed. I like a bit of bitterness, so I drank it all without sugar until the end. I had debated whether to go for the iced café au lait since it seemed there was no performance, but I made the right choice here. Hot is the best! And then the apple pie. Full of apples! The outer crust was crispy with a good buttery flavor. Warm, with a mild sweetness. It felt like a waste to eat it, so I ate it little by little, but it quickly disappeared. The coffee is slightly cheaper in the morning. This atmosphere can only be experienced here. I will come back to enjoy cake again. Thank you for the meal.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Ginza Station along Azuma Street, the main store of "Tricolore" has been a renowned cafe in Ginza since 1936 when Mr. Shibata, the owner of Kimura Coffee Shop (now Key Coffee), opened a cafe in Ginza. The building with red brick walls and a wooden revolving door at the entrance exudes a nostalgic atmosphere, and the interior surrounded by antique furnishings is calm and inviting. I stopped by the cafe for a business meeting and enjoyed freshly brewed coffee and their famous eclair. The coffee is made by grinding carefully selected coffee beans one cup at a time using a Nel drip. The blend coffee and eclair make a perfect match! Thank you for the delicious meal.

On a Sunday afternoon, we were lucky to get in without much of a wait, but by the time we left, there was a one-hour wait. The hot coffee was quite acidic, and the iced coffee was strong. The atmosphere was retro and cute. The cakes and eclairs seemed to be popular, so I would like to try them next time. There were many solo customers, and it seemed like a calm cafe suitable for small groups.

1. First, a delightful encounter with the barista. 2. An encounter with Toraja coffee. 3. Discovered the pinnacle of the art of marriage. 1. A delightful encounter with the barista truly exemplifies the excellence of the service at this establishment. It's not just because it's a renowned shop in Ginza, but the attention to detail is outstanding. They even researched when the Toraja coffee beans were roasted before serving, and provided detailed information on the perfect pairing of cake and coffee. The movements, gestures, and teamwork of the staff are beautiful, and watching them work behind the counter is a joy. The staff is dedicated to providing attentive service, and it truly shows in their work. I highly recommend sitting at the counter alone and engaging in a conversation with the hardworking staff. 2. The encounter with Toraja coffee was a unique experience. When consumed on its own, there was a subtle hint of acidity, but as the flavor evolved, I could taste the zesty acidity and the rich bitterness of the coffee. I had a disappointing experience in the past due to stale beans, but today I had the privilege of a delicious encounter. The brown cup in the photo is a rare early model specific to Toraja coffee. 3. Discovered the pinnacle of the art of marriage. The Antique Blend Coffee, brewed using the Nel Drip method, has a smooth and light mouthfeel. Perhaps because it followed the Toraja coffee, the richness felt light and refreshing. It can be enjoyed on its own, and it is likely to be loved by many. However, as it was mentioned on Tabelog that it pairs well with an eclair, I consulted the barista, who informed me that all the cakes are designed to complement the blend. I was astonished by this revelation. I paired it with a light and fluffy Sabarán, which surprisingly enhanced the marriage with each bite. The blend even changed depending on whether there was a slice of orange peel or a small sprig of marjoram in the cream. It's a versatile marriage that enhances even the smallest details, resulting in a different taste experience with each sip of coffee. It's truly fascinating. I have now discovered the pinnacle of the art of marriage.

[Nearest Station] 3 minutes walk from Ginza Station A3 Exit Walking through the back streets of Ginza, you will soon see a retro sign that says "Tricolor". The brick two-story building exudes an atmosphere that could very well be a national cultural heritage. The iconic feature is the entrance. Even though it's not a hotel, it has a revolving door! This kind of coffee shop that exudes a sense of history from years past is something I personally love. I arrived just in time for the last order on a weekday around 5:20 PM. I was seated immediately without having to wait. There are seats on the first and second floors, and today I was guided to the second floor. As I climbed the stairs, the retro classic space unfolded before me, with seats spaced out nicely, making it quite comfortable. [Today's Order] - Fragrant Coffee Jelly ¥970 (tax included) - Iced Cafe au Lait ¥1,250 (tax included) I ordered the popular Iced Cafe au Lait that caught my eye from the reviews. After a while, a glass with ice was placed on the table. Then, the staff poured coffee and milk from two coffee pots into the glass at the same time. They asked beforehand whether I preferred more milk or more coffee, so being a fan of bitter coffee, I opted for more coffee. It was an interesting presentation that I had never seen before. The taste was simple, with a refreshing coffee flavor that went down smoothly. At ¥1,250 per cup, it's a price that could easily cover a lunch for one person, so it falls into the category of a super high-end Iced Cafe au Lait. The cost performance may not be that great?! The Coffee Jelly I ordered along with it was cut into square pieces in a nostalgic way, with whipped cream on top. Eating it as is, you won't taste any sweetness, just a bitter jelly. I recommend generously pouring the provided coffee syrup over it without hesitation! It enhances the flavor and makes it delicious. There is no noise, and it's a quiet and relaxing place where you can unwind, making it very convenient for a little break during a stroll in Ginza. Thank you for the meal! After a long time, I decided to treat myself to an éclair at the Tricolor Ginza store, with its retro exterior overflowing with greenery and revolving doors. It was already past 3 PM on a weekday, and there were already three people waiting for seats. I can only imagine how crowded it would be on weekends! I was seated on the first floor instead of the spacious second floor, and the sunken sofas were as uncomfortable as ever. Perhaps the message this place wants to convey to guests is not to linger too long, given how busy it always is! The classical and luxurious interior, the quiet and polite service of the staff, and the calm atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional café in Paris. At the Tricolor Ginza store, many people order a set of blended coffee with an éclair or an iced café au lait with the option to adjust the balance of milk and coffee, along with an éclair. When you order an éclair, you get two types: one with chocolate and one without. You can also add nuts to accompany your éclair. While it may not be as famous as "Toshi Yoroizuka Tokyo," this café offers delicious coffee and cakes that you can enjoy. With its rich history, if you ever have the chance to have tea in Ginza, experiencing this café at least once is a good idea.

The coffee was delicious. It had a good aroma, a deep and rich flavor, and with each sip, the deliciousness spread throughout my mouth. The sandwich and apple pie we ordered together were also very tasty. I ordered a sandwich with duck, and the combination of the meat and citrus sauce was a perfect match, creating a refreshing deliciousness.

Visited at 12:06 pm. Waited for the 5th person. Was seated after about 5 minutes. Ordered Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Sandwich (1,270 yen) + Cafe au Lait (1,160 yen). Caesar salad served at 12:20 pm. Cheese was plentiful and delicious. Sandwich served at 12:29 pm. Soft bread paired well with refreshing cream cheese and salmon. Finished with Cafe au Lait. The staff poured coffee and milk vigorously in front of me, creating impressive foam. Slightly bitter with a refreshing taste. Spent a leisurely time in the charming interior. Thank you for the meal.

Visit date: September 9, 2023 (Saturday) Visit time: 8:30 Number of people in line when visited: 6 Seated at: 9:00 Number of people in line when seated: 8 Ordered: Antique Blend Coffee (600 yen) Used for morning breakfast. The place was very popular even at this early hour. The stylish revolving door at the entrance caught my eye. The building had a nostalgic and dignified atmosphere. The inside was lively with regular customers chatting with the staff and many foreign visitors. I was seated at the counter and ordered the blend coffee. It was poured directly at the counter. The coffee had a refreshing flavor, perfect for the morning without being too strong. I would like to come back in the afternoon to try the coffee jelly. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

The reason for the disappointment was the chocolate, not to my taste. The coffee had a nice acidity to it. I'm sure the café au lait would be delicious too. But the reason for the disappointment was the chocolate. Because of the chocolate, I thought it was just an ordinary local store. The cheesecake was sold out, so I had to order something else. Ordering something reluctantly engraved in my mind the possibility of drawing the short straw. The reason for the disappointment was the chocolate.

I visited before 3 pm on a regular day. Luckily, I was able to be seated without waiting. I ordered the Cafe Corontro, which caught my attention. It took a while for the drink to arrive, perhaps due to the crowd. Nevertheless, even when I drank it as is, it was delicious. When I added liqueur, the aroma completely changed, creating a richer flavor. I was satisfied with just adding a little less than half. It felt like I was almost drinking a cocktail. The interior of the cafe had a sense of sophistication and a calm atmosphere where I could relax. Thank you for the meal.

[Order Menu] Eclair 650 yen Iced Cafe au Lait 1250 yen [Waiting Time] No waiting time around 2 PM on weekends Several groups waiting to leave [Reservation] Not available for online reservation [Estimated Budget] Around 2000 yen [Features] Established in 1936, this long-standing coffee shop has been awarded as one of the top 100 coffee shops in Japan. You can enjoy freshly brewed coffee, such as Nel Drip, made one cup at a time, along with sweets that pair perfectly with coffee. They offer morning service and are open all day, making it suitable for various occasions. [Atmosphere] The retro red brick exterior sets the tone for the vintage ambiance inside. Upon entering through the revolving door, you will be greeted by the staff. The interior is adorned with elegant chandeliers, carpets, and antique furnishings, creating a charming retro-classic atmosphere. With 50 seats, it is advisable to visit with some flexibility due to its popularity. [Food] - Eclair Enjoy this delicacy with a knife and fork. The custard cream is filled after receiving the order, and the crispy choux pastry is exquisite. The choux pastry, generously buttery with a hint of saltiness, complements the rich and vanilla-scented custard. While the filling is the same, there are two types available: plain and chocolate. ❥Visit on a Sunday after 4pm❥Ordered an antique blend coffee and eclair set While shopping in Ginza, I had been intrigued by this café every time I passed by. Finally, I had the chance to visit. Arriving on a Sunday after 4pm, I was seated promptly as two groups of customers were leaving. I was led to a seat at the back of the first floor. Upon entering through the revolving door, I found the interior charming and cozy, with lovely lampshades adding to the ambiance. I ordered the renowned eclair, which turned out to be lighter than expected. The pastry was crispy like a choux pastry, and the cream was light and not too sweet, making it easy to finish both eclairs quickly. It might not satisfy those seeking a heavy, sweet dessert. The coffee was fruity and elegant, easy to drink without much bitterness or richness, making it suitable even for those who don't typically enjoy coffee. I was satisfied experiencing the atmosphere of the café.

This is a coffee shop established in 1936 during the early Showa period, located on Azuma Street in Ginza. They use high-quality coffee beans from Central America and carefully extract hand-drip coffee using a Nel filter upon order. Seasonal pies and homemade cakes are also available. I ordered a coffee and apple pie set. The Antique Blend coffee costs 1070 yen, while the Apple Pie set costs 710 yen (total 1630 yen for the set). The Apple Pie is made by hand in the kitchen, where they peel the apples and bake them in the oven. The crispy pie crust encases large, crunchy apple slices with a light and easy-to-eat flavor, complemented perfectly by the slight acidity of the apples that pairs well with the coffee.

I used it for Saturday morning. I happened to arrive early around 7:40 and there were about 10 people lined up by the time the store opened at 7:45. I ordered a blend coffee and an eclair. The eclair had a firm pastry and the sweetness of the cream was very good. The blend coffee was also good value for money during the morning. It's convenient to be able to use it in Yurakucho early in the morning. I felt that I would like to use it again as I could enjoy a leisurely morning in the historical atmosphere of the store. There was a wait after the store opened, so depending on the time, you may have to wait.

Tricolor Honten is a long-established coffee shop founded in 1936 located in Ginza 5-chome. They serve Nel Drip coffee brewed one cup at a time, paired with delicious sweets. Their specialty is the rich Antique Coffee, but on hot days, the Iced Café au lait is a popular choice. They also offer a morning menu and a variety of popular sweets. The café has a charming European atmosphere, reminiscent of a café on a street corner in Europe.

I had breakfast at Tricolore, a long-established coffee shop founded in 1936 (Showa 11). The interior of the shop, whether it has been like this since its establishment, exudes a slightly old-fashioned charm and a sense of old luxury, which is somewhat exciting. I ordered the morning set for 930 yen, which includes an antique blend coffee, toast, and salad. The coffee is mild and easy to drink. The toast has a crispy crust, so be careful not to hurt your mouth while eating. It tastes delicious with butter and strawberry jam on top. It would be nice to have butter and red bean paste as well, but let's ignore that greedy thought. The strawberry jam has a mild sweetness, and it contains pieces of strawberry fruit, so it's more like putting it on rather than spreading it. By the way, whether it's true or not, I heard that the butter is Echire butter (unconfirmed). When I visited in the afternoon before, there were many foreigners, but today, on a weekday morning at 8 o'clock, I only saw Japanese people. Why not try to act a little fancy from the morning?

A fantastic atmosphere at this Ginza coffee shop. It has a refined and authentic feel, typical of a traditional coffee shop. The cakes and morning set looked delicious, but I only had coffee on this day. I had a Traja, and enjoyed a graceful and wonderful time.

I may have encountered the best éclair in my life! I finally visited Tricolore, a place I had been curious about. When I went on a weekday, they were closed due to irregular hours, so I went back for revenge. It was around snack time on a Saturday, and there was a 40-minute wait. There were three groups ahead of me. The actual wait was about 20 minutes. This time, I ordered the popular café au lait and éclair! The éclair was not in the showcase and took a while to come out, probably because they make it after receiving the order. It was crispy and slightly warm, and the cream with plenty of vanilla beans matched perfectly! Having plain and chocolate flavors was also great. You can choose the milk ratio for the café au lait, so I ordered it with more milk. The coffee flavor is strong, so having more milk was just right. It was a fulfilling café time!

Head to the "Tricolore Main Store," established in 1936 (Showa 11), located along Ginza Azuma Street. The exterior, with its red brick construction and gas lamps, exudes a retro charm. Stepping through the wooden entrance door, you enter the second-floor area opening at 11:30 am. Inside, you'll find a delightful retro-classic ambiance with elegant chandeliers, carpets, and antique furnishings. I ordered a coffee and éclair set. - Antique Blend Coffee: This coffee aims to recreate the flavor of the 1950s when high-quality beans first arrived. It is meticulously hand-dripped with a Nel filter, offering a gentle sweetness. - Éclair: The cream is filled in after you order, and it is finished with chocolate. The crispy choux pastry and rich cream complement the coffee perfectly. You can also sprinkle the accompanying crunch for added enjoyment. I had a wonderful coffee time in this charming, old-fashioned setting.

Tricolore Main Store is located right in the middle of Ginza, and it has a classic yet elegant atmosphere. I was surprised to see a revolving door at the entrance. Inside, the decor is Western-style and luxurious. I ordered an iced coffee and an eclair. The iced coffee was poured at the table into a glass filled with ice, and it had a rich flavor. The eclair had a cute appearance and was enjoyed with a knife and fork. It was not too sweet, but rather had a refined taste. The service was very friendly, and they even provided a QR code for customers to leave feedback online. This kind of sophistication is what makes this place a top-notch establishment.
