Until around the summer of 2019, there was chicken soup porridge available during the morning hours, but the menu changed in the fall. Both for takeout and dining in, there are now more varieties of the classic Kimbap, the stone bibimbap for breakfast has been replaced with Bulgogi rice bowl, in addition to the small portion of Bulgogi set meal, a Samgyupsal set meal has been introduced. And the chicken soup porridge disappeared. Furthermore, I thought the chicken soup porridge was only gone from the morning menu, but it was also missing from the main menu. Sad... The newly introduced Samgyupsal for breakfast is crispy grilled pork belly. I wasn't expecting much, but it's surprisingly delicious. It has a nice texture. The meat is flavorful. I don't usually have breakfast, but the rice is going down so smoothly. The iron plate lined with meat is hot. The onions under the meat are probably to prevent the meat from sticking to the plate. Thoughtful. The Gochujang sauce is moderately spicy. The Korean seaweed is also good. I roll the rice and take a bite. Delicious. The meat may not be a lot with three pieces, but it's appropriate for the price and just right for breakfast. The stone bibimbap is full of ingredients and tastes great. The crispy burnt rice towards the end is delicious. The half set allows you to enjoy a variety of dishes, and the Sundubu that I had with the stone bibimbap was surprisingly substantial with seafood and vegetables, and the spiciness was just right. The menu changes periodically, and in 2020, the focus is on sets with Kimbap and cold noodles. Kimbap is similar to Japanese futomaki, but without sweet ingredients, and the aroma of sesame oil is pleasant. It may seem like a lot with one roll, but it's enjoyable. The cold noodles are thin, easy to chew but still have a good texture. The soup is on the rich side. Personally, I prefer adding Gochujang for some spiciness. The Chapchae and Kimchi in the set are side dishes, so it's understandable. Worth a try. I do not recommend the lunch boxes for takeout. For example, the 7-vegetable warm egg bibimbap. The price is reasonable, but the quality and quantity are just okay. Especially the rice is not good. It's packed tightly at the bottom of the deep paper container, so it's understandable that it's cold, but it's extremely hard as if it's been compressed from the top. Trying to transfer the ingredients on top is challenging because of the depth, and the appearance becomes really bad. You have no choice but to drop the ingredients and mix them. Even if you try to mix it, the chopsticks won't go through the rice. You can't move it even if you forcefully stab it. I had to cut it with the ingredients and bring it to my mouth. The Gochujang in a separate bag is also not spicy at all. It's disappointing. If you're having Kimbap, it seems fine both inside and outside the restaurant. If you're not having Kimbap, I recommend dining in. Thank you for the meal.
