I love this cake shop. I usually order cream puffs with filling or roll cakes, but this time I ordered a birthday cake for my child. It was a fruit tart with lots of fruits on top and a birthday plate in the middle (although it's not shown in the photo). The birthday cake was decorated with the child's name on a chalkboard, which was really heartwarming. The price was reasonable and it was delicious!

I bought a Christmas cake here. Last year, I made a simple one and decorated it myself, but this year I decided to get a delicious cake. X'mas Chocolat 4 size for 3,700 yen. It disappeared quickly with my family of 4. The sponge was fluffy and light. Actually, my favorite from this cake shop is the service roll. I will definitely go back to buy it again.

On a Saturday afternoon in August, I drove with a companion who had some errands nearby, parked at a coin parking lot, and had lunch at "Saba to Men Ishikawa" before parting ways. I stopped by this shop alone before taking the train home. There were various delicious-looking cakes in the showcase, but considering the rain and taking the train back, I opted for a half-size roll cake (705 yen), mini galette (165 yen), and two financiers (205 yen each) for takeout. The roll cake had a simple cream filling with a straightforward taste that I liked, and the sponge had a natural texture different from convenience store roll cakes. The baked goods had a traditional and approachable taste, and I found the gentle flavors to be comforting and not easily tiresome. If I have the chance to visit on a sunny day in the future, I would like to try their sliced cakes as well.

After having lunch at Gabusan's steak bowl and visiting a temple for a refreshing break, I continued south on Hongo Street. Along the way, I stopped at Bremen Murakami to get some pastries and deli sandwiches to go. Considering my stomach capacity, it was enough for today, but I couldn't help feeling a bit lonely after experiencing the three sweet shops in Kanda the day before. Looking around, I noticed that just a stone's throw away from Hongo Station Exit 2, there was Patisserie L'opera, a candidate I had bookmarked after Chotoku's temporary closure. I peeked inside and saw that they were open for business, with no customers in sight. I decided to save the remaining two sweet shops for next time, along with Chotoku, and pay a visit to L'opera today.

Maybe it's about time? When I peeked into the shop, there it was! I was so excited that I didn't remember the official name haha. Since it's a whole peach dessert, I'll just call it "round peach"! The price is 650 yen each (excluding tax). For those who think this is expensive, I just want you to try it once! This time, I will only talk about the round peach, leaving out the other cakes I bought! ① The quality of the peach is high, and I can imagine that the cost of procurement must be high. The sweetness, juiciness, absolutely perfect! ② The custard cream inside, with a modest sweetness, is incredibly delicious! When eaten with the peach, it transforms into a top-notch peach parfait! ③ The bottom part has a sponge soaked in peach juice and custard cream, creating a different deliciousness when eaten together! ④ The basket in which the round peach sits is cute! It can be useful as a small accessory holder (^^). How many times can I eat it this year? Just thinking about it makes me happy (๑>◡<๑). Even in the hot summer, tough work, or troublesome relationships, with the round peach, I can get through it all. Round peach is popular, so it's good to make a reservation!

I got off at Hon-Komagome Station and wandered around after taking the wrong exit. I found this bakery and bought a cream puff and a scone. The cream puff is filled with cream after you order it. The cream is a loose custard. I feel like the price of 250 yen is reasonable. I will definitely come back when using Hon-Komagome Station again. The scone has a crispy outer layer and a crumbly, sweet interior, different from traditional scones. The Swiss roll also looked delicious, so I want to try it next time.

It's located near the station, so I often visit from two stops away. They are open until 8pm on Sundays, which is great on hot summer days.

By the way, the other cakes and baked goods are delicious as well, but my recommendation is the 120 yen scone. My favorite is the black sugar-flavored green tea scone with a Japanese taste that goes well with tea. I would also like you to try this one.
