Tonight I attended a drinking party organized by the parents of the club members, despite the freezing cold. There were a total of 22 people, with only 5 men and the rest being young mothers in their 40s to early 50s. It was like a harem, haha. We enjoyed draft beer, highballs, cocktails, sours, Caesar salad, sashimi, tsukune with raw egg yolk, fried potatoes with spiral-cut sausages, and finished with motsunabe hot pot. The food was delicious and the 2-hour all-you-can-drink option for 3480 yen was a great deal. Thank you to the organizers, I would attend this kind of event anytime, anywhere.

Located on the 8th floor of a building next to Tama Center Station, this izakaya offers a lunch menu. I heard about it from a colleague and decided to check it out for the first time. I arrived before 12 o'clock, so there were only a few customers at that time, but more started to come in gradually, making the waitress quite busy on her own. I ordered the pork kimchi set meal, and was surprised by how quickly it was served. It felt like it came out in less than 3 minutes after ordering. The speed of service is impressive and great for busy office workers during lunchtime. Although the presentation was a bit sloppy, the speed made up for it. The pork kimchi was delicious. When I went to pay at the end, I noticed a paper with guidelines for the staff behind the register, reminding them not to turn their backs on customers. It made me feel warm and fuzzy. I would definitely like to visit again.

The food at this restaurant was hit or miss. The vegetable gratin and baked udon were delicious. The tortilla and sashimi were average, like what you would expect at a chain izakaya. However, the dashimaki tamago (?) and chicken wings were bland to the point of being tasteless. Especially as someone who isn't a fan of chicken wings, I definitely won't be ordering them again. The drinks were okay, but towards the end (last drink), the taste of the sours and chu-hai suddenly changed. Not just my G-Fret Sour, but everyone in the group who ordered at the same time took a sip and looked at each other in disappointment.
