First visit in May 2021 (No.2713). On that day, I picked up some medicine at my older brother's place and had to carry a large package, so I had fewer opportunities to gather material for my blog. However, the content was too little, so I decided to pick up one more topic here. This place has its origins in 1862 when Louis-Ernest Ladurée, a miller from southwestern France, opened a bakery in Paris. Ladurée created the history of the Parisian "salon de thé," combining a café and a pastry shop, and for over 150 years, it has charmed people around the world as a Maison symbolizing the French art of living and as a creator of delicacies that gave birth to macarons. The operation in Japan is managed by "Ladurée Japan (LADUREE JAPON)" under "BAYCREWS Co., Ltd.," which was established in 1977 and signed a licensing agreement with Ladurée in France, as well as a transfer agreement of business assets (existing 5 stores) with 100% investment (capital of 10 million yen). The dining division of "BAYCREWS Co., Ltd.," "Flavor Works Co., Ltd.," operates brands such as J.S. BURGERS CAFE, LUKE’S LOBSTER, RITUEL, BOUL’ANGE, and CUTY SHOP, which I have visited before, but many of them fall short of excellence... The macarons (cream cheese, pistachio, caramel, raspberry) cost 1,728 yen. I have purchased them before, and they have a shelf life of 4 days when refrigerated. Although they are not likely to be imported from France, they are priced higher and seem to use quality ingredients, resulting in macarons that are tastier than usual. Thank you for the meal.
