I went to a book cafe that I was curious about. I had the quiche lunch, which was delicious, and it came with salad and bread, so I was full and could relax while reading. I went at a good time, but it quickly got crowded with people, so it might be a good idea to go with plenty of time to spare.

Visited this cafe in Kyoto for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Located on the 2nd floor of a building, the spacious interior is filled with books that you can read. I ordered the bread, salad, and soup set, where you can choose 2 or more breads and add 500 yen for the soup of the day (small) and salad. The croissant was crispy and had a nice aroma after being warmed up. The shrimp and mushroom tartine had a crispy crust, juicy shrimp, cheese, and mushrooms, all delicious after being reheated. The soup of the day was a rich carrot soup with a chunky texture and a spicy kick from the pepper. The salad was fresh with plenty of greens and a refreshing dressing. The total bill came to 1090 yen. It was a very delicious meal in a cozy cafe atmosphere. The staff mentioned that the cafe is currently open only on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. The bread is made at their sister store Anee in Shijo.

I chose two breads that were almost sold out when I went around 1 pm, and then I had French toast. There were so many types of bread that all looked delicious, I couldn't decide, so I want to go back and try them all. The French toast was incredibly delicious, I really enjoyed it. I definitely want to eat it again.

I heard about a very cute shop and decided to visit it with my friends. The quiche looked delicious, so I had the quiche lunch. Even though it was only lunchtime, we ended up having some drinks too, haha. The interior of the shop was very stylish and had a calming atmosphere, making me want to come back alone sometime. The staff were all very friendly, so I highly recommend this place. And of course, the quiche was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today I ordered the cashew chicken and hot coffee. It was delicious with shrimp, shimeji mushrooms, and a nice balance of flavors. However, I got a little annoyed because the menu and water took a while to come. Also, the window was open for ventilation and it was cold! The lettuce on the side almost flew away. (laughs)

I went when they opened, but there was already a line. The menu was very enticing, but this time I was drawn to the cinnamon roll and croissant dough waffle displayed in the showcase, so I had those.

A cafe where you can enjoy a variety of breads and books. Lunch sets range from A to E, with the popular bread set allowing you to choose from a wide variety of breads displayed in the showcase. The daily soup set, quiche set, and chicken curry set are also popular choices, offering a wide range of lunch options. Three types of bread come with all sets, allowing for unlimited refills, making it easy to indulge in more. You can also add on soup, drinks, or dessert for an additional charge, giving you the flexibility to customize your meal. You can also buy individual bread or take out your favorite items. Prices vary depending on the type of bread. The cafe is also a great spot for book lovers, with plenty of books available for reading.

After watching a movie, I chose to have a late lunch at "CAFE COCSI" located near the Toji-ji Nishikoji Minamihigashi Gate. It was already 4:30 pm, so it was crowded, but I managed to get in just in time. I ordered the "Homemade Pate de Campagne (with bread and salad)" for ¥900, a small bottle of Sapporo Black Label beer for ¥690, and a Mont Blanc dessert for ¥650. It was a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere where time seemed to pass slowly. I enjoyed discussing the movie while savoring the delicious food. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

The saba and carrot rapé sandwich was so delicious that I visited again. This time, I went at night. - Salmon and onion focaccia sandwich with lots of onions! The salmon was delicious. - Pumpkin soup was quite spicy in taste. - Plum wine hot water split It was a cold day, so my body warmed up! I felt the taste of alcohol stronger when I drank it on the rocks than when I drank it straight.

I saw a photo of a sandwich online and thought, "I want to eat that!" so I went. The mackerel and carrot rapé sandwich was on a hard rye bread, with a large mackerel on top! There was plenty of carrot rapé on top, sprinkled with lemon which made it even more delicious! I realized once again how delicious sandwiches can be. The homemade plum wine on the rocks was thick, sweet, and delicious. It even had a plum fruit in it, which of course I ate.

I went in the early afternoon on a weekday! The interior of the restaurant was empty. The chairs and tables were stylish, with books and paintings decorating the space, creating a nice atmosphere! The interior had a calming feel with wood as the main theme. I ordered a cafe latte! It had cute foam with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. The hot cafe latte was delicious! It was perfect to enjoy the coffee while casually looking out the window. This is a cafe that can be enjoyed alone or with a group of people. The lunch menu also looked delicious!

Recently, coffee floats go well with tangy iced coffee. As the ice melts, the acidity rounds out nicely. The crepe was simple, with a great combination of crunchy sugar and salty butter. The mix of sweet and salty flavors was perfect, leaving a pleasant texture until the end.

After a long time, I enjoyed some relaxing reading time at a stylish cafe. It was nice that pets were allowed, and I was comforted by the dog next to me. I bought a cheese and walnut bread on my way out, and it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. It paired well with wine, and I want to go back just to buy this bread again. I actually planned to just buy bread, but ended up staying longer because the atmosphere was so nice. Next time, I want to try the quiche too. So, I will definitely visit again.

I used this cafe to rest my tired feet from walking. It blends into the city so well that you might miss it if you don't look carefully, located on the second floor after climbing the stairs. I wasn't hungry so I only ordered a cappuccino. My companion ordered a crepe set. There were many bread and pastries displayed next to the register, and it seems like the lunch set with assorted bread or crepes are popular! The foam on the cappuccino was fluffy, and when I drank it, I ended up with a white beard like Santa Claus, haha. Cappuccino just makes you want to drink it for no reason! I also took home some rusk as a takeout, and it was unbelievably delicious! It wasn't too hard for a rusk, with a perfect crispy texture and sweetness, making it a perfect coffee companion. When I gave some to my gourmet friends, they were delighted. The rusk is a definite repeat purchase! I highly recommend it.

I visited the cafe during my free time before a meeting. I ordered a scone and a drink. The scone was moist and more like bread than scones I'm used to, which I didn't prefer as I like crumbly scones. However, they had a wide variety of baked goods and bread, so I'm sure I'll find something I like. The location is good and it wasn't crowded even during lunchtime, so it seems like a convenient place to visit. I plan to come back again.

While strolling through the streets of Kyoto, I decided to take a break and catch up on some work emails at this café. The interior had a woody and slightly cluttered feel, perfect for café lovers. I heard their bread is delicious, so I ordered the Pate de Campagne, Rillettes, and a crepe. The Rillettes was a bit too salty and the taste was average. The crepe was simple, with the taste of the dough being the main focus. However, the Pate de Campagne was quite delicious! So, while it may not be the standout item at this café, I recommend the Pate de Campagne. If you're feeling tired from walking around Kyoto and need a place to rest, this café is a good option.

After shopping around the area, I headed towards Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station to go back home. However, I felt exhausted and wanted to have a beer. I looked around and found a small sign for "CAFE KOCSI." Without knowing what kind of place it was, I went upstairs and entered the cafe. The cozy space was filled with many books, creating a calming atmosphere. Although there were mostly young girls as customers, they didn't seem to mind as I took a seat. I felt a bit apologetic. The warm and welcoming ambiance of the cafe made me feel at ease. I ordered a draft beer and finished it quickly. Since I was feeling comfortable, I decided to have a mojito to quench my thirst. I also ordered a platter of pickles. Although there were meals available, I had other plans so I left, but I would like to come back to try the Western dishes they offer. Next time, I will take my time to enjoy the experience. Thank you for the meal.

A book cafe located on the south side, east of the intersection of Tomioka Street (3 blocks west from Teramachi Shopping Street) and Ani Street (1 block south from Oike Street). When you go up to the second floor from the staircase on the left side of the entrance, you will find a cozy space with a wide range of book genres. We chose four types of bread from the showcase at the counter with a friend: 1) Pizza (¥200), 2) Pain au chocolat (¥210), 3) Potato & Ham & Cheese (¥210), 4) Chocolate croissant (¥200). The breads were slightly small in size but had a high level of taste, making you want to eat more than one. The fresh juice with pear, available only in autumn, had a refreshing and luxurious sweetness that could become addictive.

Located near Kyoto City Hall Station and Sanjo Station, there is a hidden gem book cafe called Kochi Cafe. I was drawn to the combination of a book cafe with a wide variety of bread, so I decided to visit. I will introduce some of the bread items I took out. - Shrimp Tartine (310 yen): A slice of butter-flavored toast topped with white sauce, plump shrimp, and zucchini. It's like having a delicious gratin on top of the bread. Although it's a bit pricey, it's so tasty that it could stand alone as a meal. - Cranberry and Cream Cheese (220 yen): Sweet and sour cranberries paired with rich cream cheese. I initially thought it was raisins, but the refreshing sourness surprised me. The bread has a soft texture, not as hard as I expected. - Quiche Set (750 yen): Comes with a salad. Today's quiche had small shrimp and black olives as ingredients. The quiche had a fluffy and gentle egg flavor. The salad with French dressing was refreshing and tasty. - Chamomile (680 yen): I ordered a drink separately. The chamomile tea was well brewed and served cold, making it a delicious iced drink. The lunch set options are varied, including not only quiche but also a choice of two bread items, crepes, and more. The cafe has a relaxed atmosphere with spacious sofa seats where customers can leisurely enjoy their time. (Please note that there may be entry restrictions in place.)

I visited a stylish cafe near Kyoto City Hall in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto today. ■ Cafe KOCSI It seems to be a popular cafe known for its homemade bread made by the owner. The blackboard outside the store displayed today's soup and quiche. The cafe offers both cafe and dining options. Additionally, it mentioned "Feel free to take out bread only!!" on the blackboard. The entrance to the store was on the second floor after climbing the white staircase. The interior is lovely with a calm atmosphere. The wooden warmth and rows of books make it a relaxing place. The glass case at the counter displayed a variety of bread. I chose two breads to take home. - Sausage Croissant: A croissant with coarse ground sausage on top. I enjoyed the crispy texture of the croissant and the sausage's crunchiness together. The aroma of Gouda cheese lingered afterwards. - Pain de Lait: A long bread with a crispy crust. It was soft and easy to tear by hand. It had a fluffy and soft texture, with milk kneaded in. It was a simple and delicious bread. The bread was very tasty. Although this time was only for takeout, I look forward to enjoying the lovely cafe slowly once the situation with COVID-19 improves.
