We used this restaurant for a girls' night out with 6 people! Two of us had birthdays coming up, so when we made the reservation over the phone, we asked the staff if they could prepare a surprise birthday celebration. When we arrived, they had prepared a private room for us, and it was great to catch up without any worries. We had reserved a course menu, which included a variety of appetizers, pasta, main dishes such as meat, all of which were delicious and satisfying in portion. Plenty of vegetables were used, so we could enjoy the meal without worrying too much about calories. When our stomachs were full, the BGM changed and the owner brought out a birthday plate! Both birthday girls were so happy, and it was a great surprise. The staff were all very kind, and it was a place we really liked. We would love to come back if we have the chance. I don't usually post reviews, but they treated us so well that I wanted to share my experience.

I finally visited a small, cozy restaurant that I had been interested in for a while. The place had a nice atmosphere and was always busy, so I had been wanting to go there when I had the chance. I had mentioned several times that there was no birthday plate during my hotel stay on my actual birthday (lol), so on this day, one day late, I had the restaurant call and request a dessert plate for me. The restaurant, run by a couple, was just as nice as I had imagined. The appetizer platter and the assorted ham platter were so filling that they were enough for me. The wine was reasonably priced too. This time, I had a glass of sparkling wine and a bottle of Riesling. The place was bustling with local customers. I would love to visit this restaurant again on a whim. Thank you for accommodating my sudden request.

I had always passed by this restaurant but never went in alone because I felt it was not a place to dine solo. Finally, I visited with a friend to have some pasta. Here is my review:

Chillic, an Italian restaurant near Higashi-Nihonbashi. I stumbled upon this place while looking for a lunch spot nearby and decided to give it a try. The restaurant has both table seating and a counter up front, and surprisingly, there is also additional seating in the back for about 10 people. Despite its narrow layout, it can accommodate quite a few customers. On weekends, they offer two types of lunch sets: a course lunch for 2,500 yen and a pasta lunch for 1,500 yen. I was a bit torn but ended up choosing the pasta lunch. One nice thing about the weekend pasta lunch is that it comes with a pre-meal drink. I opted for sparkling wine. While sipping on my drink, a small corn soup and salad were served. The corn soup had a rich contrast in flavor, while the salad was light and refreshing. The pasta dish I ordered was clam oil pasta. The slightly thick fresh pasta was chewy and delicious. The clams were plentiful and added a seafood flavor, and the generous amount of parsley (I think) added a nice balance. It's clear that they don't skimp on ingredients when preparing their dishes.

The dishes all have a special deliciousness to them, and the house wine is enjoyable. The lunch special on Thursdays and Fridays is 1000 yen including tax. For the appetizer, you can choose between a leafy salad or marinated chicken and cabbage, I chose the marinated option. The flavor was gentle and there was a generous portion. They also served a small piece of homemade focaccia, warm and crispy. The fresh pasta from Awaji Island was chewy and delicious with a simple tomato sauce. I think the dessert was milk pudding, but I forgot to ask. I'll definitely come back on Thursdays or Fridays. The roasted beef and truffle risotto were especially delicious. Both the red and white wines were also tasty, and it was a great value for the price. It was delicious! The staff were all very friendly. It seems like a great place to recommend for a girls' night out. The ingredients were fresh and the origin was explained, so I felt at ease. This was my second time visiting, both for dinner and lunch, and each time they served fresh and delicious food. My friends who came with me all love this place. There is even a sommelier among the staff, so you can enjoy good wine at a reasonable price and receive a gentle explanation. It seems like a great place to go for a drink alone as well. I highly recommend it!
