I want to eat gyudon (beef bowl) from the morning! Not just beef rice, but gyudon! I can easily get beef rice at a place 1 minute away from home, but I have to go one station over to get to Yoshinoya for gyudon. I wake up in the morning, change quickly, and ride my bike to the next station, Gokokuji. I order a regular gyudon (448 yen), which is as delicious as ever. At the checkout, if you have a mobile T-card registered with Yoshinoya, you get 100 points (see attached photo). Additionally, you get 2 T-points. I pay with PayPay and get 24 points. Then, I scan the QR code on the receipt, answer a survey, and get another 20 points. Furthermore, there is a campaign at Yoshinoya where if you eat breakfast there, you receive a 200 yen discount coupon valid only for that day. I enjoyed my meal. On the way back, I buy canned beer at the convenience store, go home, and drink it right away. Delicious! That's all for the breakfast edition.
I take a break and have a proper swimming training in the afternoon. For lunch, I will have rotating sushi (will post separately!).
For dinner, after another swimming training session, I'm tired. But if I push myself today, next week's work will be easier. Now, on the way back. It's time to use the 200 yen coupon I received in the morning. I usually only eat gyudon at Yoshinoya, but I decided to follow my followers and try something different occasionally. I wanted to use a discount ticket, but unfortunately, I couldn't use it with the 200 yen discount coupon. So, I ordered a regular gyudon to go (240 yen after using the 200 yen discount coupon). Gyudon bento is actually the best when the rice has absorbed all the flavors after some time. Yoshinoya has been a special food for me since childhood. It was a rare treat in a family that rarely ate out. The gyudon my parents occasionally bought was the best feast. Yoshinoya, thank you as always! Thank you for the meal... Wait a minute, what's up with the title? Don't mess around. Perhaps there are rare individuals who will read this silly review to the end! (Really?) Result announcement! (In the style of Hamachan) Breakfast Gyudon (regular) 448 yen Dinner Gyudon (regular) 240 yen (used 200 yen discount coupon for the day) Mobile T-card discount -100 yen T-point deduction -3 yen PayPay points deduction -46 yen Total for 2 meals... 539 yen Price per meal... 270 yen A big victory like the walk-off win against Mexico in WBC! (What's that all about?) Thank you very much to those who read this review to the end!
