I want to eat gyudon (beef bowl) from the morning! Not just beef rice, but gyudon! I can easily get beef rice at a place 1 minute away from home, but I have to go one station over to get to Yoshinoya for gyudon. I wake up in the morning, change quickly, and ride my bike to the next station, Gokokuji. I order a regular gyudon (448 yen), which is as delicious as ever. At the checkout, if you have a mobile T-card registered with Yoshinoya, you get 100 points (see attached photo). Additionally, you get 2 T-points. I pay with PayPay and get 24 points. Then, I scan the QR code on the receipt, answer a survey, and get another 20 points. Furthermore, there is a campaign at Yoshinoya where if you eat breakfast there, you receive a 200 yen discount coupon valid only for that day. I enjoyed my meal. On the way back, I buy canned beer at the convenience store, go home, and drink it right away. Delicious! That's all for the breakfast edition. I take a break and have a proper swimming training in the afternoon. For lunch, I will have rotating sushi (will post separately!). For dinner, after another swimming training session, I'm tired. But if I push myself today, next week's work will be easier. Now, on the way back. It's time to use the 200 yen coupon I received in the morning. I usually only eat gyudon at Yoshinoya, but I decided to follow my followers and try something different occasionally. I wanted to use a discount ticket, but unfortunately, I couldn't use it with the 200 yen discount coupon. So, I ordered a regular gyudon to go (240 yen after using the 200 yen discount coupon). Gyudon bento is actually the best when the rice has absorbed all the flavors after some time. Yoshinoya has been a special food for me since childhood. It was a rare treat in a family that rarely ate out. The gyudon my parents occasionally bought was the best feast. Yoshinoya, thank you as always! Thank you for the meal... Wait a minute, what's up with the title? Don't mess around. Perhaps there are rare individuals who will read this silly review to the end! (Really?) Result announcement! (In the style of Hamachan) Breakfast Gyudon (regular) 448 yen Dinner Gyudon (regular) 240 yen (used 200 yen discount coupon for the day) Mobile T-card discount -100 yen T-point deduction -3 yen PayPay points deduction -46 yen Total for 2 meals... 539 yen Price per meal... 270 yen A big victory like the walk-off win against Mexico in WBC! (What's that all about?) Thank you very much to those who read this review to the end!

At this age, the only enjoyment I have is food. I don't have high expectations. I will follow the etiquette and not cause any trouble to the restaurant, so I would like the restaurant to provide at least basic manners and customer service. This is not about a beef bowl chain restaurant, right? Not very tasty and the customer service is terrible.

The problem isn't with the restaurant... Well, it's probably because of my foolishness in blindly believing the half-baked information from the TV. I heard a comment from the higher-ups at Yoshinoya on a certain TV show saying they wanted to make karaage the next main dish, so I thought, "They have karaage? Then I won't go." I visited the restaurant, looked at the menu, but couldn't find it. I probably flipped through the menu about three times. But since it wasn't there, I ended up ordering the beef kalbi black curry. Strange, strange. When I searched online, I found out that karaage is only available at certain stores. I fell right into their trap. As for the curry, it shouldn't taste bad. Personally, I prefer it with a bit more spice. However, the size of the beef kalbi is too big. It's impossible to tear it into pieces with just a spoon. Ultimately, you have to put the whole thing in your mouth. So, it would be nice if they could at least cut it into two pieces. While thinking about these things, I finished paying with PayPay, and my phone started buzzing with excitement. It turns out I won in the PayPay Jumbo, and the amount I got back was "3 yen"... I muttered, "I don't need that," as I left the restaurant.

I couldn't help but stop by for shelter from the rain near Gokokuji on the way to Kodansha. I'm sorry! But I really wanted to eat gyudon. The taste was so similar to Matsuya that I momentarily couldn't tell where I was. There was no vending machine right inside, so I had to ask the staff for water multiple times. The bright atmosphere inside, with not only counter seats but also table seats, made me wonder if this was not Matsuya after all. Oh, and the mini salad I added came with mayonnaise, which might be unique to Yoshinoya. I ordered the small size gyudon. It made me want to go back to the gyudon specialty shop Sambou in Akihabara after a long time. The fact that I could add an egg and get a meal for 511 yen at this quality is nothing short of amazing. Thank you for the meal!

The "Atama no Oomori" with extra meat campaign for 540 yen is delicious. The meat has a good balance of lean and fatty parts, each enhancing the overall flavor. The seasoning is sweet and savory with a defined taste but not too overpowering. The aroma is appetizing. The rice served is top-notch among fast food chains. The meat is served in a small bowl as part of the campaign for an additional 29 yen. I visited during the weekday at 7:30 pm amidst the COVID-19 state of emergency, and the restaurant was half full. Despite not having been to Yoshinoya in a while, the food remains delicious. Among beef bowl chains and Japanese eateries, Yoshinoya is my favorite for beef bowls. It's just so tasty. From tomorrow, due to the shortened business hours because of the pandemic, they will be closing at 8 pm. I think it's understandable for solo dining establishments like Yoshinoya to be exempt from this rule, but it's necessary for simplifying regulations. The real issue lies with those who disregard the rules and spread the virus.

Affordable! Delicious! Fast! Without disappointing expectations, my regular size order came out in just a few minutes despite it being Premium Friday. Truly impressive. Since it's a special occasion, I'll have extra pickled ginger. The deliciousness that can be enjoyed for free is just amazing.

This time, I used it during breakfast time. I was unsure of what to order, but I ended up ordering the Morning Gyudon Set (regular) with a change to Tonjiru. The order included Gyudon (regular), raw egg, and Tonjiru. The Gyudon is made with American beef belly meat and has a delicious, well-balanced salty flavor. The Tonjiru was served piping hot with plenty of ingredients and had a delicious taste. The staff's customer service was also polite. This is a Gyudon restaurant located near Gokokuji Station.

The beef bowl is satisfying. It is cleaner compared to the Yurakucho and Shinbashi branches.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant near Tokyo Metro Gokokuji Station. I ordered the Gyudon Special (extra sauce) for 680 yen including tax, for a weekday dinner. Surprisingly, there was a smoking room inside the restaurant, which I didn't expect at a Yoshinoya. The menu also included options for light drinking, which explained the smoking room. The smoking room seemed to fit about two people. The staff who served the food were foreigners, while the cooking was done by two Japanese staff members. The taste of the Gyudon seemed different from before, almost like it had been slightly changed. This was the second time in a row at different locations where I felt this way, so maybe my taste has changed. The foreign staff members were working hard and were able to process payments using T POINT and WAON.

I got off at the unfamiliar Gokokuji Station on a weekday afternoon around 3 pm, feeling a bit hungry after missing lunch. I spotted a Yoshinoya and remembered their limited edition "Beef and Pork Half Bowl Set" for Premium Friday. It seemed appealing to someone like me who wants to try a bit of everything, so I decided to go in. The location is a short walk to the right after exiting from exit 5 of the Yurakucho Line Gokokuji Station, along the road where you can see a splendid building belonging to Kodansha on the opposite side. I ordered the Beef and Pork Half Bowl for 450 yen and miso soup for 60 yen. Although I couldn't find the Beef and Pork Half Bowl on the menu, I saw a poster inside the store and asked the staff, who accepted my order. Soon enough, it was brought to the counter. Contrary to my initial impression from the promotional photo of the Premium Friday item, the bowl actually consisted of separate portions of beef and pork on a bed of rice in a bowl. At first glance, it looked a bit modest. Upon closer inspection of the poster, it was clearly stated that the beef and pork were served separately in bowls. Maybe it would have been better to order the regular beef bowl with extra toppings like green onions and egg. I didn't see anyone else ordering this particular item in the restaurant. I tried to distinguish between the beef and pork on top of the rice as shown in the photo, but it was a bit difficult to tell them apart (haha). However, when I tasted them, the difference in flavors was evident, and being able to enjoy both tastes was not bad at all. I had a unique experience at Yoshinoya.

Normally, I order the Gyudon and Tamago set with miso soup, but this time I decided to try something different and went for the Kalbi beef bowl. It was a bit more expensive than the regular Gyudon, so I had high expectations. However, the Kalbi beef bowl was just like any other Kalbi beef bowl. It's nice to try different menu items once in a while. I would like to try the dish that is cooked right in front of you using solid fuel if I have the time, but whenever I go to Yoshinoya, it's usually when I'm in a rush, so that might not be possible.

After a long time, I had breakfast at Yoshinoya. They had tofu bowl and chicken soboro bowl, which is great for me who is on a diet. This morning, I chose the "Chicken Soboro Bowl for 290 yen". It's a 431 calorie breakfast, so it's diet-friendly. The slightly watery chicken soboro is like the king of donburi, "Gyudon", which is nice. I added soy sauce to the small side of egg roll. I know I shouldn't take extra salt, but I did it anyway. Why can't I follow what I know in my head? I'm getting to an age where I should be more responsible. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the store on its opening day, August 3rd, during the 1 o'clock hour. The layout of the store was designed to cater to business people on weekdays and families on weekends, with a U-shaped counter that could be converted into table seating on one side. It seemed like they made too much food on the first day, as there were some overcooked meats that were a bit disappointing in taste. I hope for better quality on my next visit.
