I felt like eating dumplings and happened to visit this nearby restaurant while walking. As expected, there were many dumpling options on the menu. Handmade dumplings, cheese pan-fried dumplings, and Yurin pan-fried dumplings were all available. The restaurant seemed suitable for large groups, so it was easy to order a variety of dishes to share. The Yurin pan-fried dumplings, with plenty of vegetables underneath, were delicious. In addition to dumplings, they also offer a variety of other Chinese dishes on the menu. I wish I had come a little earlier so I could have tried more dishes...

Lunch for 800 yen with sweet and sour sauce on white fish. Other lunches are around 1000 yen. The sweet and sour sauce doesn't have much flavor. It doesn't taste very Chinese. Comes with rice (free refills), a lightly flavored soup with small pieces of tofu, delicious bean sprouts, and stir-fried vegetables that are not quite cooked enough for my taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the staff are friendly. However, the place is empty. Maybe because it's far from the station. Without exams being held nearby, it's hard to attract customers. The mapo tofu looks very spicy but also appetizing in the photo. Looks spicy.

On a day off, I visited a former colleague's house in Minamisuna and on the way back, I decided to have lunch at a restaurant featured on TV. However, there was a long line, so I gave up for the day. I decided to visit a nearby place that caught my eye while walking along Eitai-dori. Inside the restaurant, there were mostly couples and a few families with children enjoying their meals. I decided to go with the lunch menu, but the waiter mentioned that I could also choose from the grand menu on weekends. After some consideration, I chose the Spicy Sichuan-style Knife-Cut Noodles with 5 dumplings set. The noodles had a nice level of spiciness with a slight numbing sensation, and the texture was just right. The dumplings were flavorful and I enjoyed them as they were. The portion was satisfying, and I left feeling content. The payment was cash or PayPay only, and as I was paying, the waiter recommended trying the Spicy Mapo Tofu next time. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

The neighbor Beloce is a place I often use, so I had been wanting to go inside and eat dumplings for a while. The dumplings were delicious, with two different kinds. They also have a variety of noodles, and since I don't like very spicy food, I ordered the dan dan noodles which didn't have a spicy mark on the menu. Looking at the menu, it's a full-fledged Chinese restaurant with a wide range of options. The noodles were somewhat reminiscent of a ramen dish from a family restaurant or Denny's dan dan noodles. But overall, including the soup, it was delicious. The ceiling felt high, which I hadn't noticed at Beloce, but maybe because it's in the same building. The tables were spacious and comfortable, and the atmosphere was open and relaxing, making me think of the Lion in Ginza. I had two glasses of draft beer, noodles, two types of dumplings, and something else I can't remember. It was a little over 3000 yen. The chain restaurant I went to before was too expensive. The staff were friendly and it's a great restaurant. I'll visit with my family next time.

This is a newly opened restaurant in March 2023. I can't help but question my own intelligence, but what kind of restaurant was here before? The interior is spacious and clean, not really like a typical Chinese restaurant. The menu is extensive, but it still feels like a regular Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and the service is decent. However, it was extremely hot in May, so the water could have been colder. I ordered the fried rice and dumplings set since it's supposed to be a dumpling bar, but the fried rice had corn, green peas, and carrots - it felt more like pilaf. The amount of egg and char siu was minimal, the taste was bland, and the rice had a rough texture. I won't be ordering this again. The dumplings, which should be the main dish, had a chunky filling with a good chewy texture. There was some meat juice, but it was a bit light. And even though they were supposed to be "winged" dumplings, it wasn't clear why they had wings. Overall, I don't think the value for money is good at 1,000 yen. I'll just chalk it up to the chef having an off day. Thank you for the meal!

This newly opened gyoza bar near Higashi-Yonchome Station surprised me with its extensive menu beyond just gyoza. I tried the regular gyoza, lamb cumin stir-fry, and unique gyoza variations over two days, and was highly satisfied with the quality. The staff were friendly, and the spacious interior was inviting. They offer great deals on beer and Jim Beam combos. It's a large space, so they need more customers! I will definitely visit again. #Chinese #Gyoza #HigashiYonchome

I'm not sure about this place. It has a casual family restaurant vibe. The interior is very spacious, so it's suitable for a quick bite or a short drink without eating too much. You don't have to worry about it being crowded. It's too big. I don't have any photos, but of course, I had beer and highball. The last thing I drank was a flower tea, but I forgot the name.

I visited the Gyoza Bar Fuku Higashi-cho store, which opened at the end of March. It is a large restaurant with over 100 seats, located in a place where Asian Dining Guras used to be. The main store seems to be in Kyobashi. It is a new restaurant, as the main store also opened around 2020. The restaurant is located near Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station. Although they offer regular Chinese set meals for lunch, I ordered a set menu with gyoza and Mapo Tofu Knife-Cut Noodles. The gyoza had a crispy skin and was served with a mildly spicy chili oil, which made it delicious. The Mapo Tofu Knife-Cut Noodles were not too spicy either, so I added plenty of Sichuan pepper without any problems. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Gyoza Bar Fuku Higashi-yocho Store. They just opened and until April 5th, they are offering three lunch options for 500 yen. I ordered the Sichuan-style beef belly knife-cut noodles with gyoza. This place used to be Liana Padella and then Asian Dining Guras. Guras was delicious but didn't last long, so it seems like this location has its challenges due to its large size. I visited on a weekday at 11:30 am and it was about 30% full. There were quite a few staff members. The service was fast, but the presentation was a bit sloppy. The knife-cut noodles had a chewy texture. The broth seemed to have MSG but was well-balanced with the flavor of Sichuan pepper. However, it was lukewarm. The gyoza had thin skin, a crispy sear, and a generous amount of vegetables in the filling. It tasted delicious, especially when dipped in the tangy sauce provided on the table. I felt like I wanted some rice. I wonder if this lunch set will be offered for around 1000 yen in the future. Even though it's a gyoza restaurant, during lunchtime, gyoza seems to be more of a side dish, so they need to improve the main dish to succeed. They have a wide variety of gyoza options for dinner, so I would like to visit again for drinks next time.

I missed lunch on a regular Wednesday. I'm hungry now. It's already past 1 PM. I'm thinking of going to Kiba and Toyocho. Which restaurant should I choose? I saw some reviews from my followers on the timeline. There's a place in Toyocho offering a lunch special for 500 yen until today! I might arrive around 2 PM. Lunch might be over by then, but I'll give it a try anyway. I arrived at 2 PM. Alright, lunch is until 3 PM. Oh, this place was a chic Indian curry restaurant, right? I remember posting about it... I'll check later. Today's lunch specials are: Mapo tofu set meal, Chicken and cashew stir-fry set meal, Sichuan-style beef belly knife-cut noodles with dumplings. It's a tough choice, but I have to go with the knife-cut noodles! (Plus dumplings sound good.) It's only 500 yen for the pre-opening special today. I'll have the large portion, please. After being seated, the food arrived in about 10 minutes. Oh, there's a strong aroma of star anise and spices. This looks promising. Let's start with the mapo tofu... It's delicious. Quite spicy and numbing. Then, the noodles... Delicious. I love knife-cut noodles. I unconditionally love them. The chewy texture is great. And, how about the meat? Tasty but a bit small in portion. Maybe it's because of the 500 yen pre-opening price or perhaps this is the regular size, but I wish there was a bit more. I also wish there were more ingredients like greens included. As I eat, it gets spicier and spicier. It's quite spicy actually. I can handle it, but I wonder how others would feel. Next, the dumplings. Tasty but a bit mushy. Why are they so mushy? Even if they were pre-made, they should be served hot, right? But... They're delicious! There's a natural sweetness in the filling or the dumpling sauce that makes it tasty. Maybe they intentionally let them cool down before serving so that this flavor stands out? I doubt it, but it makes me wonder. So, if the regular price is around 1,000 yen, hmm, it's a bit tricky. The restaurant industry must be tough. That's what I think. Thank you for the valuable information, my follower!
