Higashi-nihonbashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. Towards the Senju direction. Within 10 seconds on foot from the exit towards Minowa. There is a super convenient "BAR" located there. It used to be a tobacco shop and a standing soba noodle shop, or part of it was taken over? The brothers who came there have restarted the shop as a bar. The bartender is a mature gentleman. The younger brother, who used to work at Negishi, is in charge of cooking. There may be concerns about the transition from a standing soba shop, but he has gained experience working at a bar in Honjo. He also helped out at "Soju," a bar run by a former Rojiie employee nearby. Despite being a bar, this is in downtown Iriya. They offer a wide range of drinks including whiskey, cocktails, beer, sake, and wine. Cheese is also available starting from 100 yen, which is quite affordable! They focus on malt whiskey and have a selection of three major blue mold cheeses, showing their commitment to quality. The soba noodles (450 yen) are a popular item to finish off your meal. Originally a secret menu item, it became a regular menu item due to popular demand (laughs). The interior is a non-smoking bar, which is quite rare, and there is no cover charge, which is a plus. Opening at 5 p.m. is also a great feature, personally speaking. The most interesting part was the detailed information about the surrounding shops and their history. Born and raised in Iriya, the master's knowledge is impressive! Even for someone like me who is new to bars, it was a very enjoyable experience. According to the master, the next episode of Ad-machi airing on July 1st (Saturday) will be about "Iriya." They seem to be well-informed about the area as well (laughs). One draft beer, one highball, two glasses of wine, pickles, and two types of cheese cost 3000 yen. Thank you for the meal. I would like to try the soba noodles next time!
