I went to Buona pizza after having lunch at Keyaki on a holiday. It is a self-service frozen pizza store. I often see self-service frozen dumpling stores, but frozen pizza is rare. As soon as I entered the store, I saw a row of freezers with frozen pizzas inside. There were 4 types of frozen pizzas available, sold in 2 combinations: Margherita and Marinara, Mastunicola and Quattro Formaggi. I decided to buy Mastunicola, which is said to be the oldest pizza in the world. I paid 1000 yen in the "mouth of truth" next to the freezer. I baked it with aluminum foil in a toaster oven and tried it.
- Mastunicola: The oldest pizza in the world. It only has Pecorino cheese, basil, and pepper. It has a very simple flavor. Rating: 3.2 stars.
- Quattro Formaggi: Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Taleggio, Grana Padano, four types of cheese with honey. The honey is already frozen on top of the pizza, but you can still taste it. Both pizzas have a thin crust, but I wish they had a bit more thickness like a Cornicione. Rating: 3.2 stars.
Thank you for the meal.

Margherita and Marinara, two pizzas for 1000 yen. They are surprisingly authentic for frozen pizzas and I am satisfied. They seem quite popular, probably because they are freshly made. I hope they will come out with more varieties in the future.

A small, cute shop appeared at some point. When I peeked inside, it turned out to be a unmanned pizza vending machine. I was surprised to find such a thing here. Since I stumbled upon it, I decided to go in. The shop was also small, filled with two showcases. The price was the same - 2 frozen pizzas for 1000 yen. There were 4 flavors available, with fixed combinations. The payment was made at a small hole in the wall, which was a bit eerie at night. This time, I bought the "Margherita Marinara". It was delicious, with a crispy and fluffy texture, even though it was frozen. I personally prefer the Marinara flavor, but both were tasty. This place seemed convenient to stop by, with a location near the station.
