It's been a while since I went to Shinbashi at night v(‾∇‾)v. I was intrigued by a restaurant featured on TV and decided to check it out. It's a Taiwanese restaurant called "Taiwan Tan Tsai Men" located on the 1st floor of Shiodome City Center, offering reasonably priced Taiwanese cuisine. They have a variety of small dishes, perfect for those who like to try a little bit of everything. They also have a wide selection of dishes with coriander, which I love. The coriander meat miso I tried this time was absolutely delicious ('▽'*). Other dishes like spicy steamed chicken, salad with dried tofu, were quite tasty too (*‾∇‾*) Hehe. The highlight of the day was the chilled cucumber appetizer served with garlic and spiciness that made me want to drink at least 3 beers (⌒∇⌒). Oh, and I also tried the xiaolongbao since I was there. It was just average. The small dishes range from around 400 yen each, and if my workplace was nearby, I would definitely visit this place often. By the way, the stir-fried dishes with vegetables like hollow heart vegetable were surprisingly expensive... Some were over 1000 yen, which was a mystery to me. In Chinatown, you can buy a bunch of hollow heart vegetable for just 100 yen, so why the high price here? Despite the strange pricing, the satisfaction level was quite high.

The beef noodle soup (New Ramen) at this restaurant is almost exactly like the one I had in Taiwan long ago, and it's very delicious! Some say it's tailored for Japanese taste, but the flavor, especially the soup, is just like I remember. Well, it's been over 20 years since I went to Taiwan, and the taste I had back then isn't representative of all Taiwanese flavors, and my palate is not very refined, so I don't really know for sure (lol). Taiwan is one of my favorite countries, and I went back once for this beef noodle soup, lu rou fan, and especially the xiao long bao, which were so delicious. At this restaurant, the lunch set with beef noodle soup, mini lu rou fan, and side dish is only 980 yen! I love it so much that I always order this set (xiao long bao is from a special place!). It's a shop I've been visiting occasionally for a long time, but I realized this is my first review in a while. It was a Friday lunchtime, a little past 11:30. There were two customers before me. I placed my order and in about 5 minutes, it arrived! First the soup...yes! This is it, this taste! I want to say "This is it!" The Chinese spiciness in the soup, not really spicy but more like a spiciness, touches something in me. It's probably the right balance of star anise, garlic, ginger, and pepper that makes it delicious. The spiciness and coriander aroma. I really like this soup. The beef in it, was there this much before? It's so much. It's satisfying. And the komatsuna or empty-heart vegetable provides a great crunch and flavor. The noodles are almost like udon, but the thickness and unevenness give a fun texture. It's chewy, occasionally with a surprising firmness that makes chewing enjoyable. Of course, it's delicious. Ah, I'm starting to feel like going back to Taiwan again. But maybe after retiring for overseas travel. Until then, let's enjoy exploring Japan thoroughly. Dan Kichi and Eba's bonus corner! (Oh, what's this all of a sudden???) Yes, when I went to Taiwan long ago, I was looking for information at the airport like which exit is closer, where the restroom is, etc. And then, of course, it was in Chinese characters, and there were various sentences written, and the last line had three characters that said "immediate death penalty." I remember talking with my usual companions about what you would have to do to get an immediate death penalty. I wonder if it's still there...?

This was my visit to the restaurant, and it had been a while since I last came. This place offers Taiwan's representative dishes at affordable prices. It's always crowded during lunchtime due to the reasonable prices. Today, I was able to get in smoothly, but the place was full. I ordered the Braised Pork Rice and Small Tan Tsai Noodles set. They offer free extra rice, so I opted for that. The food arrived shortly after ordering, and despite the crowd, the service was efficient. The Small Tan Tsai Noodles had a great soup flavor, but the noodles were actually bean vermicelli, not the usual kind. I guess they use it to prevent the noodles from getting soggy when prepared in advance. The Braised Pork Rice had a strong five-spice flavor, which may be divisive, but I personally enjoyed it as it was close to the authentic taste. The extra rice portion was quite generous. Even as a big eater, I found it filling. The pork belly was a bit tough, but overall, I was very satisfied with the taste and quality. This restaurant offers a high cost-performance ratio, allowing you to easily enjoy authentic Taiwanese flavors.

I visited the restaurant during a time when most nearby shops had already finished their lunch service. I tried the special spicy tan-tan noodles, which were delicious with their thin straight noodles. Personally, I would have preferred slightly thicker noodles. The meat miso rice was also tasty. I would like to visit again when I have business in Shinbashi.

Ordered the 90-minute all-you-can-drink option for 1580 yen. It's worth it if you have at least 3.4 drinks. The drinks come surprisingly fast when you order. The food overall was decently tasty. Looking back, the peanuts served as a snack were oddly delicious. Next time, I want to try out a more well-known bakery for bread. The only downside of this floor in the city center is that the restroom is far away.

I visited during lunch on a public holiday. I arrived before 12 o'clock and managed to get a table, but after 12 o'clock it was almost full! I forgot to take photos, but the xiaolongbao and stick dumplings were especially delicious. The skin was chewy! However, the lo mein and fried rice were just average. The disappointing part was that the white rice was not great. They allow baby strollers inside and provide children's cutlery.

The building located between Shiodome Station and Shinbashi Station has very good access. I visited on a Friday and it was very crowded with salarymen. Each dish contains cilantro, so it may be a matter of personal preference, but everything was delicious.

C, who is from Taiwan, has a great attitude and suggested a Taiwanese restaurant for lunch with colleagues in the city center. Despite some indecisiveness among the group, they ended up at this restaurant. The recommended dish was the pork over rice, but another colleague advised against it, so they opted for the easier-to-eat chicken over rice instead. The visual presentation of the dishes was different from the menu photos, but the taste was decent according to C, who said it was "okay". The mini rice noodle dish was also decent. It was later revealed that this was not C's first visit to the restaurant, indicating that it might be a favorite spot for him.

"This is Taiwan! I visited during the weekday afternoon and it was bustling with many businessmen. I ordered the Lu Rou Fan set, and was surprised when the dish that came out looked quite different from the menu photo. However, it was delicious! Overall, I was able to experience the taste of Taiwan."

The food at the drinking party was delicious, especially the stir-fried greens. However, some types of greens were missing, which was disappointing. Orders were not processed correctly and the food took a long time to come out. It was unsettling because a repairman was fixing a broken air conditioning or machine nearby.

Shinbashi is a great place to end a pub crawl, and when I visited, I found a restaurant inside a building that seemed like a typical chain store with a decent interior and okay food. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food was actually delicious! They offer a variety of small dishes for around 500 yen each, which are perfect for snacking while drinking. The cilantro meat miso dish was especially tasty and went well with alcohol. The mini-sized noodles were also delicious and affordable. The Taiwanese steamed fried bread was crispy and fluffy. I loved everything I tried, and I'm confident that anything you order will be delicious. It's a great place to enjoy alone or with a group, as you can share and try a variety of dishes. I really enjoyed eating and drinking here, and receiving a mega jug to enjoy food and drinks was a nice touch.

Had lunch at "Taiwan Tansai Men (Taiwan Taami)" in Shiodome City Center. Arrived before 12 o'clock and was able to sit without waiting. Around 12:15, there were about 5 people waiting outside. The special Tan Tan Men (¥1080) came with small dishes and a mini Lu Rou Fan. The menu mentioned it was spicy, but it had a deep sesame flavor and wasn't too spicy. I could feel a slight numbing sensation from the Sichuan pepper. Personally, I would prefer to have double the amount of Sichuan pepper. The toppings included minced meat, bean sprouts, chives, coriander, wakame, etc. The noodles were thin straight noodles. The Lu Rou Fan was surprisingly lacking in toppings, only about a teaspoon's worth. The small dish was something like a bamboo shoot namul.

Around 12 o'clock on Wednesday, the restaurant was almost full. I ordered the Taiwanese specialty Lu Rou Fan with a mini Tan Tsai noodles and small side dish set for ¥1,030. Both the Lu Rou Fan and noodles had coriander in them, which I regretted not asking to have removed when ordering. The Lu Rou Fan had chunks of meat in it, providing a nice texture to enjoy!

On Friday night after work, I went to Taiwan Tan Tsai Noodles at Shiodome City Center B1, a restaurant where you can enjoy Taiwanese small dishes. I had been watching a lot of travel videos on YouTube recently, and I was particularly drawn to videos about traveling to Taiwan. Just when I was thinking about wanting to visit a place where I can taste Taiwanese street food, I came across this restaurant. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was welcoming to both groups and solo diners, making it easy to casually walk in. When I opened the menu, I was overwhelmed by the extensive options. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Pai Kao Rice + Mini Tan Tsai Noodles + small dishes set (¥1,050). The Pai Kao Rice consisted of two layers, with pork belly on top and hot rice on the bottom. The pork belly was marinated in a rich sauce, making it flavorful and perfect with drinks. The meat was thinly sliced and easy to eat, and the rice had a generous portion with plenty of steamed vegetables on top. This Pai Kao Rice is a traditional Taiwanese bento box, perfect for enjoying while looking at the scenery on a train ride. The Mini Tan Tsai Noodles in the set were light and balanced well with the flavorful Pai Kao Rice. The noodles had bean sprouts and minced meat sauce, providing a simple and delicious taste. The small dish I had was a dried tofu salad, with thinly sliced dried tofu in a salad style. The tofu itself was flavorless but had a unique texture that was reminiscent of konjac or cold noodles. The Mochi Mochi Dumplings with Ma La Sauce (5 pieces for ¥600) were surprisingly not very spicy, with a chewy texture that was just right. The abundance of cilantro was a nice touch. For dessert, I ordered the Salted Crispy Chicken (¥850), which was Taiwanese-style fried chicken seasoned with chili and garlic, perfect for those who enjoy bold flavors. The small size of each piece made it easy to eat, and I almost forgot how full I was getting. It was a pleasant night full of Taiwanese vibes and a sense of liberation.

After a long time, I went to dinner with my wife in the Shinbashi-Shiodome area. Since it was Friday, we decided to make a reservation in advance. We visited this place with a reservation the day before. The location is the restaurant floor of Shiodome City Center. I may have been here for lunch a few years ago. We arrived at 19:00 and it was quite empty, but by 19:30 it was full and bustling. First, we ordered drinks. All-you-can-drink for 90 minutes costs 1,580 yen per person. We hesitated because everyone at the table had to order, but we ordered for two people. I put in effort to make up for my wife's share, starting with a draft beer. For food, we had Taiwanese sausage, Taiwanese jumbo fried chicken, stir-fried Taiwanese pea shoots, xiao long bao, and Taiwanese steamed buns. I like the unique spices in the sausage and fried chicken. The fried chicken is big and biting into it is delicious, but here it was cut into pieces. Still, it went well with the beer. We also added beef char siu and squid balls. For dessert, we had danzai noodles and danzai rice noodles. The beef char siu was a bit off, but the rest was delicious. Both noodles were light and tasty, a nice change of pace. In the end, I had 7 or 8 draft beers and 4 highballs. I made the most of it! Thank you for the meal!

I requested the all-you-can-drink standard course and found it to be very cost-effective. The dishes, especially the xiaolongbao, were delicious, living up to the name "Taiwan". There was a wide variety of alcohol options, including unique choices like Dragon Highball, which made me very satisfied.

After several years, I visited this place again. What did I eat last time...? I went before 12 PM on a weekday and it was quite empty. I ordered the minced pork rice set and it arrived in about a minute, haha. Let's dig in! The minced pork rice had lots of meat chunks and tasted very Taiwanese. The portion was quite generous. The bamboo shoot side dish was delicious. The noodles in the set... maybe they made it thinner because the minced pork rice was rich in flavor? I'm glad I didn't have to choose a main dish. Overall, I finished everything and my stomach is full! Thank you for the meal!

I visited a Taiwanese restaurant in Shiodome. My main goal was to try their voluminous Lu Rou Fan. It was a dish of rice topped with seasoned minced meat, a large piece of meat, boiled vegetables, boiled egg, pickled radish, pickled mustard greens, cilantro, and more. In Taiwan, Lu Rou Fan is often simpler, with just seasoned minced meat on rice. However, the version at this restaurant was much more extravagant and voluminous, catering perhaps to a Japanese audience. The seasoned minced meat was addictive, with plenty of spices and fat. The large piece of meat was sweetly seasoned with gentle Taiwanese spices that paired well with the rice. It was tender and flavorful without being too heavy. The pickled radish, mustard greens, and boiled vegetables helped refresh the palate from the richness of the meat. The appearance and taste balance were excellent, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The fried rice had plump shrimp, a gentle soy sauce flavor, and a good balance of fat, making it delicious. The dumplings had a chewy skin and were tasty. The generous use of Taiwanese spices added a familiar touch without being overpowering. Each dish was delicious on its own. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I had lunch at this restaurant located in Shiodome City Center and tried the Lu Rou Fan. Lu Rou Fan is one of the most popular Taiwanese dishes, but as someone who has never been to Taiwan, I am not very familiar with Taiwanese cuisine. I would love to visit Taiwan someday and experience the authentic flavors. The Lu Rou Fan set with mini dan zai noodles and side dishes costs 1030 yen. Lu Rou Fan is a dish with chunks of braised pork mixed with vegetables. It is very satisfying to eat, especially with the pickled mustard greens. It's a filling meal for sure.

I used this restaurant for lunch when visiting the Yuko exhibition at the Panasonic Museum with my companion. I ordered the minced pork rice and soy milk porridge set, along with Taiwanese beer and sausage. The minced pork was lacking in flavor. I prefer it to have a stronger taste. The soy milk porridge was decent, though. The small side dish of ramen salad was not tasty at all, which negatively affected the overall impression of the main dishes. It would be better if they didn't include it.

This restaurant is located in a dining area with a local feel, amidst the modern surroundings near Shiodome City Center. I tried the night market menu with all-you-can-drink option for 3,980 yen including tax. The dishes were close to authentic Taiwanese flavors, with some using star anise, so be cautious if you're not a fan of it. Some dishes also contain coriander, so it's best to check with the staff beforehand. Overall, I enjoyed the simple yet Japanese-friendly taste of Taiwanese local cuisine.

Chinese restaurant Tan Tan Men for 980 yen located in the basement of Shiodome City Center. The entrance to the building is on the 1st floor and the basement 2nd floor, so it is on the intermediate floor. Lunch sets and meals are all priced below 1000 yen, making it affordable. It would be even better if they offered individual dishes. The background music is Taiwanese pop songs (probably...). The staff work efficiently and it only takes about 5 minutes for the food to be served. They also provide paper aprons, which is a nice touch. The Tan Tan Men includes minced meat, seaweed, bean sprouts, bok choy, and chives. The flavor of Sichuan pepper, chili oil, and black sesame is strong. The portion of thin noodles is generous and satisfying. The taste exceeded expectations. The meal also comes with a tofu salad and rice topped with a meat miso sauce flavored with star anise. Although my chest was protected, the soup splashed on my shirt cuffs... I ended up eating too much and feeling satisfied.
