A new mala hot pot restaurant that opened on January 26 this year, I had been curious every time I passed by the front of the store since it opened, but I heard that the mala hot pot here is delicious so I visited right away. It seems there are several other locations as well. When I entered the store, the staff explained the system of the store to me. First, you choose your favorite ingredients and the price is determined by weight rather than the number of items. Then you decide on additional toppings and choose the base mala hot pot flavor and noodles to finalize the price. I chose the default vermicelli for the mala hot pot flavor and noodles. Among the many vegetables available, I chose black fungus, bean sprouts, green onions, onions, napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, asparagus, shrimp balls, and cartilage-filled balls. I remember the staff telling me that 150g is the standard amount, but I ended up with almost 250g. And for the additional toppings, I chose pork and waited at my seat. The soup was indeed spicy but with a meaningful spiciness and herbal flavors, it was delicious. The combination with vermicelli was excellent, and the compatibility with all the ingredients was outstanding, making me feel happy with all the guilt-free ingredients. However, I think anything above 2 spiciness levels would be physically (on the buttocks) challenging. I tried adding minced garlic halfway through to change the flavor, and it became even more delicious with increased punch. All the ingredients were delicious, but the bean sprouts scattered throughout served as a nice texture accent in various places. It seems like I can enjoy a variety of ingredients and the benefits to my body, so I look forward to going back to this restaurant.
