I had spicy hot pot. It's a style where you choose your own ingredients and then pay at the counter. Surprisingly, it can get quite expensive. I ended up paying over 1500 yen for one bowl, which made me laugh. Level 3 spiciness makes you sweat a lot, but it's good for summer.

It's really delicious, delicious, delicious! It's great to eat in the hot summer, or in the winter, it's delicious all year round. I recommend adding shungiku, both white and black wood ear mushrooms, bell peppers, and cheese. If you don't dislike them, be sure to add them. You won't regret it. When you get used to it, order the pork shabu rice. It's amazing. Just be aware that the hot and sour soup with rice is a large portion, especially for women, so only order it when you're really hungry. Thank you.

Second visit. I came to the Mito shop because they have thick noodles there. I chose the same level of spiciness as last time. I changed up the vegetables a bit, but it was delicious again this time. Next time, I might try the "dandan" style soup.

I went to Nanahou Mala Tan Sanken Chaya Sakae-dori store. I usually go to Akasaka, so I was a little unsure about how to order. It seems that it varies by store. For toppings, I chose black wood ear mushrooms, pickled mustard greens, and enoki mushrooms. I also received a seasoned egg as a service for registering with LINE. I chose level 1 spiciness. The spiciness is a matter of preference, but level 1 was enough to make me sweat a bit. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the seasoned egg was. The black wood ear mushrooms as a topping are a must-have every time. The soup has a bit of a unique taste, but it's irresistible. The noodles are healthy and always warm me up from the core of my body. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I'm not a fan of spicy food, but I still like it (lol). I tend to feel a bit confused in this type of restaurant with its system, but the staff here ask each customer if it's their first time and explain everything carefully. So, it's reassuring. You can choose from a variety of toppings. You can also choose the level of spiciness, soup flavor, and type of noodles. The spiciness level ranges from 0 to 5, in increments of 0.5. Even 0.5 is quite spicy, but it's a addictive kind of spiciness. It seems good for the body too. I will definitely go back!

Visited Shichihou Mapo Soup for the 4th or 5th time. Ordered with one level of spiciness, topped with pork, asparagus, and mustard greens, along with ingredients like wood ear mushrooms and boiled dumplings. Accidentally added too much Sichuan pepper from the table, making it too spicy. Self-service payment, and the total was around 1100 yen on this day.

I usually frequent the Shibuya branch, but I was surprised to find out that a new branch had opened in Sangenjaya, so I decided to visit. Since it was newly opened, the interior of the restaurant was clean and tidy. The self-checkout system made the payment process easy. I always order the level 5 spiciness at the Shibuya branch, so I ordered the same this time. Points that caught my attention were: - The soup tasted a bit bland compared to the Shibuya branch. The flavor of the soup was overshadowed by the spiciness, and it didn't seem to be well balanced. - Although there was a wide variety of toppings to choose from, I felt that there were fewer types of vegetables available for self-service. Personally, as someone who likes mushrooms, I was disappointed that there were no shimeji, eringi, or fukurotake mushrooms. Since it's close to my place, I think I'll visit again, so I hope to see improvements in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the newly opened chain restaurant Nabo Mala Tang on Sancha Ei-dori in Sangenjaya. The restaurant was crowded as it had just opened, but luckily I was able to get in quickly due to the rain. After I entered, the restaurant quickly filled up. I ordered a selection of vegetables such as ashitaba, trevis, nanohana, asparagus, as well as water dumplings, xiaolongbao, and jellyfish, totaling around 1200 yen with toppings of lamb and pork. There were plenty of condiments on the table, including black vinegar, minced ginger, garlic, and Sichuan pepper soup, which was nice. You can also change the noodles for an additional fee, but the glass noodles were delicious as well.

Today's Poteranchi → [First] I casually tried mala hot pot for the first time, was able to choose plenty of my favorite ingredients, the perfect combination of spicy and vermicelli, felt like my body was getting healthier with the herbal flavors, will definitely come back. A new mala hot pot restaurant that opened on January 26 this year, I had been curious every time I passed by the front of the store since it opened, but I heard that the mala hot pot here is delicious so I visited right away. It seems there are several other locations as well. When I entered the store, the staff explained the system of the store to me. First, you choose your favorite ingredients and the price is determined by weight rather than the number of items. Then you decide on additional toppings and choose the base mala hot pot flavor and noodles to finalize the price. I chose the default vermicelli for the mala hot pot flavor and noodles. Among the many vegetables available, I chose black fungus, bean sprouts, green onions, onions, napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, asparagus, shrimp balls, and cartilage-filled balls. I remember the staff telling me that 150g is the standard amount, but I ended up with almost 250g. And for the additional toppings, I chose pork and waited at my seat. The soup was indeed spicy but with a meaningful spiciness and herbal flavors, it was delicious. The combination with vermicelli was excellent, and the compatibility with all the ingredients was outstanding, making me feel happy with all the guilt-free ingredients. However, I think anything above 2 spiciness levels would be physically (on the buttocks) challenging. I tried adding minced garlic halfway through to change the flavor, and it became even more delicious with increased punch. All the ingredients were delicious, but the bean sprouts scattered throughout served as a nice texture accent in various places. It seems like I can enjoy a variety of ingredients and the benefits to my body, so I look forward to going back to this restaurant. Located about a 5-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station, this new spicy hot pot restaurant has been opening up in various locations across Tokyo. The Sangenjaya branch is compact but well-designed, so it doesn't feel too cramped. I used to frequent the Shibuya branch, but decided to visit the Sangenjaya branch when I heard about it. Each branch has a slightly different soup flavor, but I still prefer the taste of the Shibuya branch. I've been to the Sangenjaya branch about 5 times now, and even when I order the same level of spiciness, it varies each time. Even when I add cilantro as an option, the amount varies each time, which is funny. The addictive soup is so delicious that I will continue to visit, but I hope the part-time staff can improve their customer service skills in the future.

The Seven Treasures Spicy Hot Pot is now in Sangenjaya! I tried to be cool and ordered it at level 2 spiciness, but it's pretty hot! It's better to start from level 1 if you're trying it for the first time. When you enter, you're given a bowl and tongs to choose your ingredients from the shelf. You can pick your seafood or meat at the register, so aim for a bowl that's about 80% full from the shelf! There are two important things to consider before entering: what kind of noodles and soup you want. The regular option is glass noodles and spicy hot soup, but you can pay extra to choose different noodles and soup, making it a menu that's friendly for everyone. I'll definitely come back, and it's easy to invite friends too! When I arrived, there was a long line, so I had to give up, but today I got lucky because it wasn't crowded when I arrived. However, while waiting, the place got full quickly, and even those who were waiting had to wait longer. It's amazing that it's still crowded at 3 pm!

There is a new ramen shop called "San Cha" that I visited. During the first 3 days of opening, they had a half-price promotion which caused long lines, but I finally got to try it after the promotion ended. You can choose toppings to add to the basic menu. I ended up adding various toppings and the total cost came to around 500 yen. There are also different types of noodles and spice levels to choose from, so it seems fun to find the combination that suits you. I had previously tried level 2 spiciness at another shop and found it too spicy, so I chose level 1 here and it was just right.

That popular spicy hot pot restaurant, "Shichifuku Mala Tang," has opened in Sangenjaya! The budget is around 1500 yen, located in Tokyo, Sangenjaya. Operating hours are from 11:00 to 23:00 (last order at 22:30). No regular holidays. The restaurant is new, so there is no listing on Tabelog. From January 26th to 28th, all items are half price! Until the end of February, there is a coupon available at the store for half price on the basic Mala Tang. Cash is not accepted. The restaurant has about 15 seats, including counter and tables. The staff are efficient and seem to handle things well. I tried the Mala Tang with medium spiciness for 580 yen. You can choose the level of spiciness, and they offer a variety of ingredients to add. If you add too many ingredients, the flavor may be diluted, so they provide a salt sauce as well. Enjoy your meal!

I went to "Nanaho Mala Tang" for the first time on the third day of its opening, where everything was half price. I waited in line for about 30 minutes, but the staff offered warm tea while waiting outside, which helped warm me up in the cold. They had a system explanation outside the store where you could customize your base (vermicelli + soup), toppings, and spiciness level according to your preferences. Inside, there were a variety of toppings to choose from. You would wear gloves, use tongs to pick your choices into a bowl, and bring it to the cashier. Since it was half price that day, I got a bit carried away and chose over 10 toppings (water dumplings, jade dumplings, meat-filled wontons, squid balls, bok choy, spinach, quail eggs, shimeji mushrooms, black fungus, bean sprouts, Chinese cabbage, enoki mushrooms, yuba, mini tomatoes) totaling 400g. I also added cilantro, seasoned egg (free), and a small bowl of rice. I chose recommended level 1 spiciness. It cost a little over 900 yen due to the half price discount, but I might have been a bit too greedy. Soon after I sat down, the mala tang arrived! First, the soup. It was spicier than expected, but level 1 was just right for me. It was spicy and delicious, making me sweat. The vermicelli was chewy and enjoyable. The added cilantro matched well. I turned the leftover rice into porridge at the end. I might have overdone it with the toppings, so it was a bit too much, but normally, at around 1200 yen, it would be a satisfying meal. I might come back occasionally to eat here again.
