Today's drinking session: After working on the weekend, I went for a solo drink. I explored Kinshicho for the PayPay campaign in Sumida Ward. For the second stop, I visited this restaurant known for its yakitori and extensive izakaya menu. Cabbage Butsu (280 yen): Chopped cabbage with rich red miso. The fresh cabbage pairs well with the miso. Motsu Nabe (440 yen): Miso stew with pork intestines topped with pickled ginger. The rich miso stew with the spicy and tangy accents of green onions and pickled ginger is excellent. Liver (tare) (180 yen): A refreshing sauce that complements the crispy exterior and tender interior of the liver. Tantro (salt) (180 yen): Tender and juicy, with the meat juice and salt complementing each other well. Kashira (salt) (180 yen): Elastic and juicy, with the meat juice and salt blending perfectly. I also had a Vice Sour set (500 yen, with a medium shochu for 250 yen) and a Chuhai (350 yen). I forgot to take photos, but there were also blackboard menus with a wide variety of dishes. I dropped by Marudai Honpo Kinshicho store for a casual drink on June 18th! The draft beer, lemon sour, and highball were all delicious and refreshing in the heat. I had five skewers of yakitori, potato fries, cold tofu, and harami skewers, but the yakitori was especially tasty.

Cost performance is decent, the yakitori is delicious, the gyoza is average, and it's relatively not too crowded.

I went to Maru Daihonpo in Kinshicho for a casual drink. The recommended dishes are yakiton and gyoza, so I ordered tongue, teppou, gyoza, and pizza. The yakiton was surprisingly delicious. The gyoza and pizza were just okay. It seems like you can drink cheaply if you order a bottle. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant around 5:00 pm on a weekday. There was a temperature check at the entrance. There were no other customers. The kitchen had 2 staff members and 1 staff member for customer service, all male. I was seated at the counter. Nishi-Nippori is a relatively safe area compared to the south exit of Kinshicho Station, which is known for its nightlife and persistent touts. I ordered a Sapporo Red Star beer (550 yen), 3 skewers of motsu-yaki (160 yen each), cabbage butsu (200 yen), macaroni salad (350 yen), and large gyoza (400 yen). I debated between black label and lager for the beer, but chose the red star as I thought it would pair better with the motsu-yaki. I was served a 500ml bottle. It had a nice bitterness and was delicious. About 3 minutes later, the cabbage and macaroni salad arrived. The cabbage is eaten with miso, and it's crunchy and tasty, but being raw, it can be tiring on the jaw. Since there was no potato salad, I tried the macaroni salad, which had a lot of tuna and mayonnaise, and it was also delicious. After about 10 minutes, the motsu-yaki and gyoza arrived. The motsu-yaki consisted of head, belly, and tongue with sauce, and they were all delicious and had good meat quality. The gyoza claimed to be juicy, but it was not as much as expected. I would have liked a bit more impact. I stayed for about 30 minutes and the total bill was 1980 yen. It seems like a good place to have motsu-yaki as the main dish with a few side dishes and drinks. The staff's chatty nature was a bit distracting, but it was tolerable. I would visit again if I have the chance.

This restaurant offers the best cost performance and the best taste. We were surprised that even after eating and drinking for about 2 hours, the total bill for 2 people was around 5000 yen. The place is always lively and popular among locals. I think it's a beloved restaurant in the area. When you come to Kinshicho, make sure to visit Marudai as your first stop! I will definitely visit again soon.

A popular izakaya located about a 3-minute walk from Kinshicho Station North Exit. They offer Sapporo Red Star beer and a delicious stewed offal dish that goes well with drinks. The limited-time vegetable sticks with tofu cream dip were tasty. The skewers were average, neither particularly good nor bad. The gyoza had a strong garlic flavor and the skin was chewy. The menchi-katsu was meaty and large. The salt yakisoba we ordered at the end had thick noodles with meat, carrots, green onions, and bean sprouts, and was quite satisfying. Despite being a weekday, the place was quite busy with both groups and solo customers. The restroom is divided into separate male and female sections, and the overall cleanliness of the izakaya is good. We spent 8000 yen for two people, and even received change.

The taste, service, and price all deserve an 80, in other words, a perfect score of 100 as an izakaya!!! The lively atmosphere is fantastic~^_^ It was packed around 7:30, but we managed to slip in when the previous group left! The tempura with summer vegetables and the liver skewers were especially delicious! The gyoza and karaage were also excellent. The rolled omelette was just average. I would like to visit their other branches as well ☆☆

This place is operated by Minami Inc., which also runs an oden, yakiniku, and darts bar in Kinshicho, Monzen-Nakacho, and Mishuku. The restaurant is clean and the menu is suitable for a casual drink. - Big Gyoza (400 yen): The gyoza is beautifully grilled with a flavorful filling. It has plenty of juices, a firm texture, and is to my liking. - Shiro Tare (150 yen): The sauce has a rich flavor, and the meat is tender, making it easy to drink with alcohol. - Senmai Sashimi (480 yen): It's made with white senmai, but the texture is softer than expected. However, considering the price, it's not bad. - Highball (350 yen): The intensity is just right. I ended up having three glasses. I think this is a place suitable for a casual drink, just as the name suggests.

I have visited this restaurant several times, and both the drinks and food are very delicious! I especially love the harami skewers. The interior can feel a bit cramped when it's crowded, but I don't mind because I love the food here so much. The prices are relatively reasonable, and even though I think the waitstaff is usually working alone, they do their best to provide good service, maneuvering between tables. I will definitely visit again!

I used this place to have a casual drink with my company colleagues. It's a small shop, but it has a half-open space feel, allowing you to enjoy your drinks while looking out onto the street from your seat inside. The prices are reasonable, and we had a great time.

I took shelter from the rain at the Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival. The atmosphere was quite nice. The Takowasa Gyoza was delicious with juicy filling and a good size. The Karaage was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The Takoyaki was cooked to a crispy perfection, which I personally liked. The skewered liver, tongue, and chicken cartilage were all seasoned with salt and very tasty. The blackboard menu recommended the fish tempura, which was the highlight of the day. It was even better when eaten with salt. It's great that you can use coupons here. Thank you for the meal.
