We opened at 14:00 and drank until after 19:00. There were 3 adults and 4 children. We were seated in the tatami room on the second floor. The camembert cheese tempura with honey was delicious. The children loved the potatoes. Thank you for the meal.

After a long time, I headed straight to Hana no Mai to have their Blood Orange Hana no Mai cocktail. I ordered the cocktail and it came with a small appetizer. It looked beautiful. It tastes lighter today, doesn't it? It looked delicious. I took a sip and thought, "Hmm, not bad." I drank it all at once... but I didn't chug it. The appetizer was like a meatball skewer. Oh, it's different now. Ever since the pandemic, I've been here a few times and I was always worried about the appetizer being just one onsen egg, feeling a bit avant-garde. But today, it was a bit more filling and I smiled. I chose avocado with salted kelp. Already on my second defeat with the Blood Orange Hana no Mai. What?! The second defeat actually looks more delicious. The rich Blood Orange in a frozen glass was lovely. I felt like having some more fried horse mackerel, and I wanted to eat all the thick yakisoba noodles. I enjoyed the meal. The appetizer has changed, and it seems like the menu has changed too, with the prices going up. It seems the bar has been raised for solo diners, but if you come with a group, the portions are large and reasonable. Thank you for the meal.

This might be the last hot pot of the year. It was hot during the day, but it's getting chilly at night. I'm waiting for the pork kimchi hot pot at Hananomai, while enjoying my favorite Hananomai sake (Blood Orange) with it. The appetizer costs 350 yen, but it comes with a hot spring egg...not bad. I added it to the porridge. Thank you for the meal.

At the beginning of the year, I felt like having a drink after work, but I didn't want to walk too much. So I decided to go to Hananomai in front of the station. I tried the Blood Orange Sour, which cost around 500 yen. I actually liked it more than the Lemon Sour. I also tried the Crispy Cucumber with Salt, which was around 400 yen. You can choose between salt sauce and plum sauce. I also ordered the Salt Chan Konyaku Hot Pot for around 1,000 yen, which only had chicken in it. It didn't have meatballs or any fish. It had cabbage, bean sprouts, green onions, mitsuba, shiitake mushrooms, and silk tofu. The salt flavor was quite strong, maybe from the chicken oil. They didn't provide any condiments like garnishes or ponzu sauce, so I had to ask for shichimi togarashi. Maybe I should have gone with the Pork Kimchi instead. Since it's still cold outside, I might give it another try. Thank you for the meal.

On a night when heavy snow was forecasted in Tokyo, I walked past the sleet-mixed snow and headed to the izakaya building in front of the station. Considering this pandemic, the suddenly steak restaurant in the basement closed down in less than a year and turned into a golf practice facility. My favorite izakaya also closed its doors. Feeling lonely, I took the elevator to the 5th floor. There was only one group of customers in the snowy weather. I ordered a Blood Orange Hanamizuwari without even looking at the menu. The appetizer was a hot spring egg. I was seated at the back with a partition, facing the window overlooking the station side. Snow-viewing sake. The friendly staff made me feel at ease. Looking at the menu, I saw they were having a Cheese Fair. I had seconds of the Tofu Cheese Bake and Black Pork Gyoza with another Blood Orange Hanamizuwari. My stomach was satisfied, so I headed home.

After the state of emergency was lifted, I really wanted to have a drink, so I went to one place, then another, but they were all full and I couldn't get in... After going around, I finally went to Hananomai. The restaurant was empty, but I wasn't seated promptly... When I finally got a seat, they didn't have the Hananomai special I wanted, and the menu was limited and seemed different, so I started feeling like I wanted to leave. But since there was a 20:00 time limit, and I had nowhere else to go, I reluctantly ordered a lemon sour. I ordered cabbage and oysters, but... the oysters weren't tasty. With nothing else to order, I had no choice but to leave. Good restaurants seem to be full, while the not-so-good ones are not. I wonder why.

I worked from home and felt like having a drink, so I went to Hananomai near the station. The reception is on the 5th floor of the building. Since it was a weeknight, there were few customers and last order was at 19:00, so I couldn't relax. I ordered the Hananomai special, a Blood Orange Sour. For my main dish, I ordered the shrimp and scallop ajillo, but the shrimp were small compared to the dish, which was disappointing. If they had made the dish smaller and piled it up more, it would have been more satisfying.

After a tennis tournament, I tried to find a bar to go to, but my usual spot, Sakana Kichi, was full so I ended up at this place in the same building. I started off with a sashimi platter and beer. It was a safe choice, I suppose. I skipped the gyoza because the filling was small and it seemed like pre-made frozen food. Other than that, I didn't find any major issues. If Sakana Kichi and Watami are full, this place could be an option. The service was good, as expected from a chain restaurant.

This shop located in front of Myogadani Station. Due to its location, the clientele is mainly office workers, so you can relax and drink slowly. The interior has subdued lighting and a warm atmosphere, which is nice. I usually order party menus, and the sashimi and other dishes are pretty good. Personally, I like the giant shrimp fry, which tastes great when eaten with tartar sauce. The drink menu also has a good selection of standard items. The pricing is slightly on the higher side for a chain izakaya. It's frustrating that I can't get too drunk because it's far from home, so I can only drink a little bit.

We used this restaurant for a party with 6 people. We were seated in a unique area in the middle of tables for 2 and 4, which reminded me of a dining car (maybe because I had just been to a Japanese dining car at Tokyo Station). The menu mainly focused on fish, but there were also options for meat and vegetables, all of which were delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient. We ended up drinking too much and had to catch the last bullet train home.

The Hana no Mai restaurant is located near the station, so I see it often. It is also located near Myogadani Station on the Marunouchi Line. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit. When you order a banquet menu, various recommended dishes from the restaurant are served for the number of people, which is interesting. The sashimi dishes are delicious as expected from a seafood izakaya, but the other creative dishes are also tasty. However, the fried dishes had a greasy batter. Tempura dishes are better at specialty shops. There is a wide variety of drinks available, and unlike other major izakaya chains, they are not watered down. The gin and tonic tasted like a regular gin and tonic.

It is a well-known izakaya chain where you can enjoy delicious seafood dishes at reasonable prices. They sometimes have campaigns like "50% off tuna", but be careful not to end up spending a lot by ordering too much. The atmosphere at the location in Myogadani is nice, with a relaxed and family-friendly vibe. The staff and drinks are average, but it's a good place to go when you want to enjoy a casual and affordable meal. By the way, even though it's underground, you can still get cellphone reception.

The restaurant on the 5th floor in front of Myogadani Station. I go there quite often. It's always busy, probably because it's a friendly place. There's nothing particularly delicious about the food, but the atmosphere is nice. The tables are small and face each other, which is good for talking. The customers are mostly salarymen, you rarely see students or women. It can get noisy, but they have a good selection of seasonal dishes so you won't get bored. Some of the seasonal items may be a bit questionable though. You can drink beer easily there (at normal prices). After staying for a while, when you look at the bill, you might think, "Did I really drink this much?" 😅
