The bright atmosphere of the fish market made it hard to believe it was actually a fish market. The staff were energetic and welcoming, which added to the overall positive impression. I visited on a weekday night and noticed some discounted items, like a 20% off deal on bento boxes. I tried the shirasu wakame rice, originally priced at 198 yen. When I opened the lid, the aroma of shirasu hit me. The portion size was surprisingly large, and the shirasu was plump and flavorful. The wakame had a nice salty kick to it, but the freshness and flavor of the shirasu still shined through. It was really delicious.

A fish market located in front of Shimokitazawa Station. It is always lively and has a great atmosphere. They have a wide variety of fresh fish, making it enjoyable just to look around. This time, I bought some fresh sea urchin. It was incredibly delicious, although a bit pricey. I will definitely be going back for more.

I have been using this place since I was in elementary school, and I always stop by here on my way back from visiting the graves. Hasegawa only sells fresh products, but here they recommended the boiled anago instead of grilled. The tamagoyaki here is worth mentioning, it's as good as Tsukiji Matsutake or Terry's family's. It's a fishmonger's tamagoyaki, so it's delicious. The service may not be great, but the taste is delicious, which is proof that they have been in business in Shimo-Kitazawa for decades!

There was a seafood bowl restaurant on the north side of the Keio Line's Kōshū-Kaidō Station that I had never noticed before. I casually walked in around 19:20 during the long weekend. The interior had two two-person tables and five counter seats. There were about two other customers already there. Every menu item came with lotus root, so I ordered the medium fatty tuna, salmon, and grilled eel bowl without lotus root (1280 yen). The food arrived in about 5 minutes, and it came with miso soup. I paid in cash. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I returned from CAMP Koriyama to Korokoro with the Iwatani's Robatayaki Master. I want to have a yakiniku party using Stamina King from Soshigaya-Okura to get some kalbi and hormone like liver. But today, I bought some oysters and big clams while wandering around! So, I decided to set up a makeshift oyster shack~ Oysters from Sanriku and clams from somewhere else. The shells might jump due to the heat, but it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter~ It was so delicious!

This is a popular seafood store located in Shimo-Takaido (Keio Line). The store is located in the Shimo-Takaido Market, which has a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere near the station, and they have also opened a store in front of Seiyu. The store in front of Seiyu mainly sells sushi and prepared dishes. They also operate a seafood bowl restaurant called "Sanyu Ren", and all of their stores are quite popular. I usually don't review seafood stores, but this time I will review their "Chirashi Sushi" for Hina Matsuri. The Chirashi Sushi (950 yen for one serving, 1900 yen for two servings) is truly delicious, typical of a seafood store's sushi. They seem to use the leftover parts skillfully, and the quality of the ingredients, especially the yellowtail, tuna, and salmon, is high for the price. The portion size is generous, and the vinegar rice doesn't have any strange artificial flavors. I purchased this at the new store in front of Seiyu, but the same item was also available at the store inside Shimo-Takaido Market. This Chirashi Sushi is a limited-time product for Hina Matsuri. While I didn't review it, I often buy sashimi at the store inside Shimo-Takaido Market.

Visited a fish store in a cool arcade in front of Shimotakaido Station for the first time. Bought two types of live shellfish, "live sazae" (780 yen) and "live mirugai" (780 yen) this time. Had them for dinner that day. When was the last time I had sazae sashimi? The crunchy texture is distinctive! As someone from the mountains, I felt a slight seaweed smell, but my wife enjoyed it (*^▽^*). There were also innards attached, and the shop said it was okay to eat them as they were, but my wife, who is a worrier, microwaved them just in case (^_^;). The mirugai had a firm texture and sweetness. It was easier to eat than the sazae (^_^)v They also had fried dishes and other side dishes, so I would like to try those next time (*^_^*)
