Karaoke Ban, a restaurant with a wide variety of fish-based menus located below Ban. The interior is almost like a continuation of Gohan-dokoro 195-ya (all-you-can-eat crab), which is located right next door to the post office. I visited the restaurant after seeing a sign announcing its upcoming opening when I went to the neighboring post office. The location seems to have a history of businesses closing down within a few years, so I was curious to check it out. When I entered from the Hinomoto side, I saw foreign tourists happily chatting, but there were only a few other customers visible, which made me a little worried as I took my seat. I ordered the "Honmaguro Kamatoro Teishoku (940 yen)" that I had decided on before entering the restaurant. The waiter, wearing a black T-shirt, briskly took my order, which was quite pleasant. He explained the self-service drink options, and I headed to the machine to get my cup of hojicha, green tea, coffee, or other beverages. The Kamatoro Teishoku that arrived in about 10 minutes was amazing. The slices of meat cut from what seemed to be three parts of the tuna head were lined up as if to say, "How about that!" The thickness of each slice was also impressive! The quantity, freshness, and temperature were all perfect! Judging from the appearance of the slices, it seemed to include the tuna cheek, cheek meat, and kamatoro. The head of the tuna was split in half, and one half was included as is! Wonderful! To be able to enjoy such a rare part of the tuna, which can only be obtained from one fish, for under 1000 yen is truly a blessing. The set also came with miso soup, pickles, a small side dish, and rice. Additionally, they offered lunch menus starting from the 500 yen range, such as Negitoro Don (550 yen), Bara Chirashi Don (650 yen), and Tuna Menchi Curry (680 yen), with over 10 lunch menu options available. While I was satisfied with the tuna, I felt that the amount of rice served this time was a bit on the smaller side for men. It was mentioned on the sign outside, but I think it would be better to clearly advertise the free upsizing option on the menu as well.
