I purchased Nissin's curry rice for 199 yen including tax at Jason on July 29th. The price of 199 yen for curry rice is quite attractive. I bought two types, beef and seafood, and tried them.
- Seafood Curry Rice: The blue package contains ingredients such as carrots, squid, and fish paste. When cooked, it has a strong squid smell which may not be appealing to everyone. I personally found it a bit off-putting. I think it would have been better if they used shrimp instead of squid, like in Cup Noodles. Rating: 3.1 (would be higher if the smell wasn't so strong).
- Beef Curry Rice: The gold package is the classic beef curry rice. It contains seasoned minced beef, fried potatoes, and carrots. The fried potatoes have a soft texture but add a good flavor. The balance of sweetness and spiciness is good. I tried adding some House Vermont curry roux to make it sweeter, and it turned out delicious! In the end, beef curry rice is the best! Rating: 3.5. Thank you for the meal!

I purchased and tried the Yokosuka Navy Curry Yakisoba from Acecook that was being sold here. I believe it was around 100 yen. This collaboration series, supervised by the popular restaurant Uoantei, introduces curry yakisoba for the first time! Supervised by the first certified restaurant in the "Curry Town Yokosuka," Uoantei. You can easily enjoy the taste that has been loved in Yokosuka for many years, known as the origin of curry. The noodles are smooth, firm, and have a good bite. By seasoning it moderately, the deliciousness of the noodles is enhanced. It is curry yakisoba with beef as the base and onions added. The subtle spices felt within the umami of the onions create the deep and rich flavor of Uoantei's Navy Curry. It is finished with fluffy potatoes, lightly seasoned minced chicken, flavorful onions, and brightly colored carrots. * Release date May 15, 2023 * Contents 68g (noodles 60g) * Manufacturer's suggested retail price 214 yen (excluding tax) * Release area Nationwide. However, the reviewer found it disappointing as it lacked the curry flavor and the portion of noodles was too small. The reviewer regrets buying it and does not recommend it.

On January 22, I tried the UFO Sukiyaki-style noodles with thick ankake sauce at Jason for 99 yen including tax (106 yen). I bought it and was surprised to find out that you don't drain the water. I had a bad feeling about this. I opened the lid and added hot water to the powdered soup and thickening agent. After waiting for 5 minutes, I didn't drain the water and instead poured the powdered soup and thickening agent over the noodles and mixed well. There was quite a bit of water left, so the flavor was weak and the thickening was mediocre. This texture didn't suit my taste. The ingredients were only soy beef, onions, and green onions, which felt a bit lonely. Maybe using less water would be better. But I won't be trying this again. What a shame.

I tried the Cup Noodle Spicy Miso flavor that was being sold here. It was priced at 150 yen or less including tax. It was described as very spicy, so I was cautious when I tried it, but it turned out to be within a reasonable level of spiciness. I have been training with Peyang's extremely spicy series recently, so this level of spiciness didn't faze me. It's not really super spicy, more like medium spicy. I enjoyed it without any agony. Come to think of it, I also easily ate the House Java Curry Spicy version the other day. Thank you for the meal!

I tried the Peyang yakisoba "Nanchatte Soba" purchased at Jason here for 129 yen including tax. When I opened it, it had a dark color and looked like soba noodles. The toppings were fried egg and green onions. After adding hot water and waiting for 3 minutes, I added the sauce, which was made of soy sauce, sugar, bonito extract, and salt, giving it a soba broth flavor. The noodles were soba-colored, maybe because soy sauce was kneaded into them. It's a yakisoba that even people with soba allergies can safely eat. They might even do well if they released a soba-style yakisoba. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the Nissin Donbei Soupless Spicy Curry Yakisoba on August 14th. I can't remember the price, but since it's from Jason's, it's probably under 150 yen. I like Nissin's noodles, and this time the flat and chewy udon noodles were to my liking. The seasoning is as described, with a spicy flavor being the highlight. It also has kombu extract, giving it a Japanese taste which is nice for udon. The toppings included carrots and green onions. Although it contains beef fat, there is no actual meat in it. It would be even better if there were some meat in the toppings. Overall, I would rate it 3.2 out of 5. Enjoy your meal!

I tried the Nissin Yakisoba U.F.O Okonomiyaki flavor with rich and savory mayo. It's perfect for hot summer days! The sauce has a sweet and thick okonomiyaki flavor that goes well with the tasty mayo and toppings. The noodles are firm and satisfying, and overall it really tastes like okonomiyaki. It would be even better with some meat or eggs added. I bought it at Jason's for around 150 yen. Delicious! ★★★

I tried the summer cup noodle "Umakara Karubi Yakisoba" that was being sold at Jason. The price was under 150 yen, if I remember correctly. It's a soupless cup noodle with a pork-flavored spicy sauce. The ingredients include seasoned pork mince, cabbage, and red chili pepper. The flavor is not as spicy as expected, with a slightly sweet taste. The noodles have a wavy texture and surprisingly good chewiness. The seasoned mince is delicious. Overall, it's tasty. ★3.3 Enjoy your meal!

28th July 21 - I purchased 6 of the European-style curry from Nissin Foods, supervised by Jason, priced at 139 yen including tax (150 yen). I tried it out and found that the curry was quite sweet at first, but then the spiciness kicked in afterwards. It was actually quite spicy! The aftertaste was spicy! It might be too spicy for children. So, when I tried the second one later, I cut the solid roux in half and added House Vermont Curry roux instead. This was the right choice! It became just the right level of spiciness and more like European-style curry. The European-style curry that has the entertainment industry buzzing gets a rating of 3.3 stars. The cost-effectiveness index is 1.33 at 200 yen/150 yen, which is cheap for 150 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I found a cup noodle mystery meat gyudon from Nissin at Jason's. I think it was around 130 yen at a discount supermarket. Despite being called cup noodle, this product is more like a cup meal inspired by gyudon. I added hot water and started cooking. After 5 minutes, I added the special sauce. The sweet and salty gyudon flavor is there, but the meat is actually soy-based meat substitute, so it looks more like ochazuke and not really gyudon. It's not bad, but I wouldn't pay the regular price of over 200 yen for it. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the Acecook Super Cup Spicy Pepper Mazesoba that was being sold here. The noodles are medium thickness with a slightly curly texture. The seasoning is a salty sauce with a tricky sprinkle to finish. The sprinkle contains pepper, fried garlic, Sichuan pepper, and red pepper. The spiciness from the pepper, Sichuan pepper, and red pepper creates a stimulating flavor. It's quite spicy, so it's tough without a drink. The noodles are coated in oil, which is a unique feature. The catchphrase is "Wake up with excitement!" Well, I definitely woke up! Delicious!

I bought a cup ramen that caught my eye at the discount supermarket, Jason. It cost about 100 yen. It's called "Heisei 1st Hit! Blend Curry Ramen." I don't remember eating it back then, so it's my first time trying this curry ramen. It boasts a double soup finish with umami powder soup and aroma powder soup. When I opened the bag, I noticed that the colors of the powders were different. Let's wait for 3 minutes! It's tasty, but personally, I wish it had a bit more sweetness. I hope the noodles are chewy too. Or maybe making it spicier would be nice. I give Blend Curry Ramen 3 stars. Enjoy your meal!

I tried the Ippei-chan Yomise no Yakisoba with Wasabi and Yuzu that I bought here. It is a soy sauce-flavored yakisoba topped with a sprinkle of wasabi and yuzu, using the fragrance of yuzu and the spiciness of wasabi. The yakisoba has a soy sauce flavor with a Japanese-style taste, but the wasabi kick is not that strong. I recently had the Peyang Gokugeki Karashi Tantan Yakisoba, so I feel like something is missing. I want a stronger wasabi kick to make me go "wow" and feel the intensity. Oh, the naughty desires of my body and mind~ Thanks for the meal.

On 21.3.21, I found an interesting ice cream at Jason's and decided to buy it. It's the world's hardest ice cream bar, Imuraya's Azuki Bar in a new flavor, Coffee Azuki Bar. It uses Indonesian coffee for an authentic taste? Let's try it. Hmmm. The sweetness of the azuki beans in the Azuki Bar is overpowered by the bitterness of the coffee, spoiling the deliciousness of the Azuki Bar. Well, it's a matter of preference, but I prefer the regular Azuki Bar. Oh, they also have a Yuzu Azuki Bar. I'll have to try that next time! Thank you for the meal.

I tried the Sanyo Foods' Meisho no Aji Series Junren Sapporo Rich Miso, which I purchased here for 199 yen excluding tax. The noodles are non-fried yellow curly medium noodles commonly found in high-end cup ramen. They resemble Sapporo ramen noodles, but the texture is quite different. The soup is also the same. It is rich, but lacks the depth and the hot, lard-covered soup sensation unique to Junren. ★3.2 The value index is 0.93 at 200 yen/215 yen. Did I have too high expectations? Thank you for the meal.

I purchased Cup Noodle with Shark Fin Soup flavor at Jason. This Cup Noodle, which looks expensive, was priced at 109 yen at Jason. When I tried it, it had a gentle taste that I had never experienced in other Cup Noodles before, and it was quite good. Although there were ingredients that seemed like shark fin, when I checked, shark fin was not actually included. It was probably made with gelatin. The texture is indeed different. Other ingredients included bok choy, wood ear mushrooms, seasoned egg, and wolfberries. Overall, I would rate it 3.2 out of 5 stars. Bon appétit!

I found Garigari-kun Rich in Tamagoyaki flavor at the discount store at Nakamibashi on October 5th. It looked interesting so I decided to buy it. The price was 140 yen excluding tax. Garigari-kun is known for its unique flavors. I have tried the Corn Potage flavor and the Napolitan flavor before, with the Corn Potage being good and the Napolitan not so much. This time, how did it fare? In conclusion, the Tamagoyaki flavor was a popsicle with real pieces of tamagoyaki scattered throughout. At first, I thought it was yuba. The flavor was seasoned with powdered soy sauce, which was not bad. Overall rating: ★3.2. Bon appétit.

I tried purchasing Cup Noodle King sold here. Both Cup Noodle King and Seafood Noodle King are priced at 209 yen excluding tax. Unfortunately, they didn't have curry flavor, so I opted for the Big Size Curry instead. Comparing it to the Big Size, it's definitely bigger~ King comes in a dry state of 120g (noodles 105g), while the regular size is 77g (noodles 65g) and the Big Size is 100g (noodles 85g), making it 1.56 times the regular size. It's not as extreme as the GIGAMAX 439g super super super large portion that Peyang released before, but it's within a reasonable range of a large portion. I noticed that there seemed to be less ingredients compared to the noodles. Oh, it's clear that there are fewer ingredients when you look at the numbers. But the taste is the classic and familiar soy sauce flavor. It's quite satisfying when you're feeling hungry! Thanks for the meal.

My favorite discount store. ^ ^ This chain store is the one I use the most near my house. Everything is cheap, but drinks are especially cheap. My favorites are the nostalgic Mitsuya Cider and Bayaris Orange in 250ml cans. Both are 33 yen excluding tax. They also have Jason's original brand. Vegetable juice for 39 yen, Valencia orange 100% juice for 47 yen, fully ripe tomato juice for 39 yen, and coffee milk for 37 yen, etc. Famous brand items are also cheap. It's ridiculous to buy at convenience stores because of the low prices. But it's painful that only Mitsuya Cider and Bayaris are cold. Thank you for the meal.

Nearby is a place where you can buy specialty items like miso and koji. I had passed by it many times before but decided to try it for the first time. At the entrance, there are toilet paper and tissues lined up. Inside, canned drinks and instant food in cardboard boxes are prominent. There is only one row with refrigeration, where you can find milk. They have a decent selection of seasonings, snacks, bread, and basic groceries, but if you think of it as a supermarket focused on food, it may be difficult to use. However, it can be useful for quick supplementary shopping.
