We arrived 10 minutes before opening on Sunday and managed to get in on the first round with 3 groups of customers ahead of us. Last time, I had the medium spicy beef curry, which was quite spicy, so this time I went for the chicken curry with extra serving and tonkatsu on top. And some pickled radish. I love pickled radish. The chicken curry is labeled as mild, but it's still quite spicy. I like spicy food but I'm not good with too much heat, so this was just right for me. It's a bit lighter than the beef curry, with less richness from the fat and more noticeable spiciness. I think I prefer the chicken curry. The tonkatsu isn't that big in terms of volume, but it's crispy and has a great texture. It's just delicious. In fact, it tasted even better this time than the first time I tried it. I feel like I'm getting addicted to it. Writing this article now is making me really crave it. It's not overly spicy, but it has a mysterious charm. I think I'm starting to understand why the doctor from Kyoto University Hospital in Ohdo said it's the best curry in the world. The more you eat it, the more you get hooked.

I ordered the Beef Cutlet Curry, large portion, medium spicy, with egg topping. As indicated on the menu, the medium spicy was quite spicy. There were slices of chili peppers in the curry, so the spiciness may have been adjusted with them. It was not just spicy, but also had a nice spiciness to it. The egg was served separately and we were instructed to place it in the center of the curry. The cutlet was a bit thin and light. The rice was saffron rice. To be honest, it was quite spicy, so it might have been tough to finish without the cutlet and egg. The sweet pickles were delicious. For those who don't like spicy food, having the cutlet and egg might help. I would like to visit again, maybe try the vegetable curry next time.
