Let's have a quick lunch with some snacks from Famima. XO sauce-flavored fried rice and meatballs. I think they were a total of 255 yen. The meatballs were 98 yen before tax, I believe. The mini-sized meatballs come in a pack of 10. They may look cheap, but for 98 yen, they are quite satisfying in quality. Compared to old retort meatballs, these are much better. The XO sauce didn't have a strong aroma or flavor, but considering the low price, it's not bad at all.

I tried the 100 yen yakitori sale at Family Mart, so I bought some. From left to right in the photo: Charcoal-grilled chicken skewer with sauce, chicken skin skewer with sauce, charcoal-grilled pork belly skewer with miso sauce, and grilled pork belly wrapped around rice cake skewer with sauce. All of them had a strong flavor that went well with alcohol. The most delicious one was the skewer with rice cake-like texture wrapped in pork belly, which I nicknamed "meat stick." I placed it on the far right because I'm right-handed.

Received information from Soba Tsuu P-sama and had the finale of a drunken yakiniku meal w/ croquette + Fuji Soba. Even while drunk, you can tell it's Fuji Soba. The broth is Fuji Soba level even when drunk. The croquette I bought wasn't veggie-based but was surprisingly sweet and had a Fuji Soba vibe. The quality was quite impressive. Woke up in the morning and apparently bought ice cream that was left out and melted... And looking at the receipt, it was actually "Hokkaido Gratin Croquette"... Also bought 2 Fuji Soba... What am I even doing... For those shy ones who want to try croquette soba but can't, this is the way to go! Give it a try!

I happened to see on TV that FamilyMart employees were working hard on training, and also working hard to develop yakitori for a new release! I was impressed! They were trying to recreate the taste of a yakitori restaurant at an affordable price, but they faced many failures before finally succeeding. The yakitori finally completed! It tasted just like yakitori from a restaurant! I decided to try it out when it was released in June. You could choose between sauce and salt, and between chicken skin and chicken thigh for 119 yen each, or a set of 5 for 540 yen. However, when buying a set, you could only choose either sauce or salt, and either chicken skin or chicken thigh. I chose chicken thigh with sauce. It was like a retort-packed yakitori from a convenience store, but surprisingly thick! It tasted similar to FamilyMart chicken yakitori! One stick was satisfying, and it truly tasted like yakitori from a restaurant! It could be a good side dish, so it's convenient for those who forget to buy snacks for their spouse's alcohol. FamilyMart is really doing their best! The yakitori from Seijo Ishii was around 98 yen. They are also not losing to FamilyMart! I bought it along with some leftover beer from Father's Day, and tried it out! It was surprisingly delicious! Another item I bought that was unexpectedly tasty was a cup ramen that was half price! It was a coconut curry flavor, and it was mild and spicy with a coconut taste. It was delicious! I also bought a stamina soy sauce ramen, which was not popular in Saitama, my hometown. It was surprisingly good and rich in flavor. I also managed to find some Karl chips, which are only sold in western Japan now. They were delicious! I also found a Bonbon Chocolat, a high-end chocolate that usually costs around 2,000 yen, for only 300 yen. It was delicious! The store seemed to have a lot of handsome university students working part-time, creating a nice atmosphere. They also had interesting discounted items, like a high-end chocolate for a fraction of the price. Highly recommended!
