I visited Tsukiji Market for the first time and found many shops and event venues around the market, attracting a lot of foreign visitors and becoming a tourist spot. Among them, I entered a sushi restaurant called Edomae Bashitamachi. The restaurant has about 8 seats at the counter, and there is only one chef working hard. I ordered a sushi set and a special seafood bowl, and received a glass of draft beer. I was given some pickled ginger as a side dish and enjoyed a leisurely adult lunch drink. Soon, the sushi set arrived, followed by the seafood bowl. The seafood bowl was topped with a variety of ingredients from the restaurant, with the seared nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) being the highlight, followed by the rich tasting medium fatty tuna, lingering in my mouth. The red snapper soup that came last was exquisite. I think it's a great location to experience the atmosphere of Tsukiji Market.

Before starting work in Toyosu, I decided to have lunch! Yay, sushi! When I arrived before 12 o'clock, there weren't many people at any restaurant, so this place might be a hidden gem! I ordered the Lunch Limited 8-piece Nigiri Set for ¥2500, and it was served in about 10 minutes! Everything was delicious, but the squid was especially tender and the medium fatty tuna melted in my mouth! The miso soup with no bones or scales was also fantastic! The salmon had a nice balance of fatty and lean parts, and each piece of sushi was so big that it was a tight fit to eat in one bite! It was a dinner party so I only got 8 pieces, but I want to try more varieties next time! Thank you for the meal!

At Edomae Jokamachi "Sushina" in Toyosu Market in Koto-ku, Tokyo, I enjoyed a delicious seasonal seven-piece sushi set. The sushi restaurants in Toyosu Market are always crowded with tourists, so if you don't like waiting in line, I recommend this place. In Edomae Jokamachi, there are also various other shops to explore.

The staff are very kind and provide excellent customer service! The seafood bowl in a regular size is enough to fill up even a man's stomach! If you order a large size, everyone ends up leaving some behind, which is a shame... Anyway, it's delicious so please give it a try︎︎ I want to go again soon!

When I visited a barbecue spot in Toyosu and ordered a seafood bowl, it was delicious! However, being right next to the Toyosu Market, my expectations were too high, so I was slightly disappointed thinking, "Is this it?"

Located in a commercial facility adjacent to the Toyosu Market in Koto Ward, this sushi restaurant offers a variety of dishes including sea bream bowl, halibut bowl, bluefin tuna bowl, and domestic sea urchin bowl. I decided to try the sea urchin bowl, which was made with processed sea urchin from Nemuro. The dish did not come with miso soup, but I was given a special soy sauce to accompany it. The sea urchin was served chilled, and although it lacked bitterness or sweetness, it was easy to eat. With a discount coupon, I also received two pieces of sushi and left the restaurant satisfied. The quick service allowed me to finish my meal in just 15 minutes, as a group of three tourists arrived shortly after.

This restaurant is located inside a building where various food and drink establishments are lined up, near Tsukiji Market. Being in Toyosu, there are many options such as sushi restaurants, seafood-focused teishoku restaurants, ramen shops, and udon shops. As I was in Toyosu, I felt like I had to eat sushi... so I chose this restaurant where the seafood bowl looked the most delicious. It's a competitive area with a teishoku restaurant on the right and a sushi restaurant on the left. I ordered a salmon and ikura bowl, while my companion ordered a seafood bowl, a combination of the best of the sushi restaurant. We sat at the counter, and the atmosphere was more like a casual pub rather than a high-end establishment. So, there was no need to be formal. There was only one chef, so you have to wait for the right timing to order and pay. But it's interesting to watch in real-time how the chef makes sushi when others order. The skill of grabbing just the right amount of vinegared rice for one piece is amazing. As we enjoyed the atmosphere, my salmon and ikura bowl arrived. The shiny ikura on top of the sparkling rice, with a large piece of salmon in the center. Maybe it's because I ate it in the seafood capital, but was ikura always this crunchy? The fresh ikura and plump rice were a fantastic combination. Eating the large piece of salmon with wasabi was just as impressive as eating the ikura. Good points: ■ You can enjoy fresh seafood in excellent condition. ■ You can have a conversation with the chef if there are no other customers. ■ The fugu karaage, a specialty of Toyosu, was delicious.

I visited on Saturday afternoon. The sushi chef was preparing the dishes by herself. The service was provided by a female staff member. The restaurant had a small counter with about 8 seats. I ordered a 2,000 yen seafood bowl. The ingredients were very fresh, especially the eel which was tender and fragrant, it was really delicious. The chef was also very nice. I often go to Tsukiji for sushi, but this was my first time at Toyosu. It gave me the impression of being cheaper than Tsukiji. Next time, I want to try the sea urchin bowl.

I visited this standing sushi restaurant in February because other popular places were fully booked. The rice was average, not too loose, but the fish was of good quality as expected from Tsukiji. The 9-piece set came with squid that was incredibly tender, sweet, and had a great texture. Even though there are more upscale and famous sushi restaurants in Tsukiji, this place offers a satisfying Tsukiji sushi experience. I hope the coronavirus disappears soon so that the lively atmosphere can return.

This is a new sushi restaurant in Toyosu Market called "Edomae Bashi Shimomachi." I visited after eating udon at Oniyanma and wanted to enjoy some sushi and a cold beer. The sushi was fresh and delicious. They have only been open for about a month, so the operation may not be fully smooth yet, but I'm sure they will improve with time. There are three sushi restaurants lined up in "Edomae Bashi Shimomachi," and it seems like they will compete to provide tasty sushi.Visited around 12:30 PM on February 29, 2020.

Ordered a set for 7,000 yen, which included red snapper, medium fatty tuna, salmon roe, white shrimp, sea urchin, white fish, red meat, and red snapper broth soup. The food was delicious, but considering the price, I might go to other restaurants. The chef seemed like a nice person, which was good.
