Recently, a coffee stand opened near the Wakabayashi intersection along Route 7. It is just past the Wakabayashi police box, with easy access from Wakabayashi Station on the Setagaya Line, about a 5-minute walk, or about a 20-minute walk from Sangenjaya. The street-facing glass allows you to see inside, and the interior has a bench that can seat 3-4 people, with a standing area for tea. There are plenty of bottles on the shelves, and it seems you can also enjoy alcohol. The benches are arranged facing away from the outside, but when you sit down, you can see the outside scenery reflected in a large mirror on the wall in front, allowing you to gaze at the sky and greenery through the mirror! It's a lovely space with thoughtful touches. Outside, there is a dog-friendly bench, and a cute dog was taking a break there during a walk. They had carrot cake, brownies, cookies, and other baked goods, but this time, I was there to try churros, which I have been seeing at various cafes recently! You can order churros starting from 4 pieces, with the option to add more. You can also choose from various sauces. Churros (4 pieces - ¥700) + Chocolate sauce (¥50) Cafe Latte (iced - ¥650) I may have never eaten churros in my entire life before this (laughs), well, maybe at Disneyland on a school trip. When you stab it with a fork, there's a doughnut-like oily sensation, but when you eat it, the slightly maple-scented, chewy dough is delicious. The chocolate sauce was more watery than I imagined, with a smooth, drink-like texture, which was nice and not too heavy. I was worried that 4 pieces might be too much for one person, but I finished them quickly (laughs). The latte had a strong espresso flavor, with a deep taste similar to a cafe mocha with a milky feel. The cafe's goods and interior were cool and trendy, and I thought it might become a topic of conversation, and it turns out they were featured on TV today! It's a friendly cafe with a local feel, so I'd like to stop by again if I pass by. On Sunday at 10:00, there were no customers, but it started to get crowded from 11:00. Since they appeared in the media, it might be crowded for a while. August 27, 2023, Sunday, 10:00-
